Majestic cathedral A must see for anyone going to Sydney it’s in the heart of CBD. There’s a gentleman there when we came in, he pointed historical things inside such as a 500 year old bible, an aborinal art and many other.

A dramatic and awe-inspiring space. The stained glass windows are intricately designed and they make the Bible stories they tell come alive as you walk around the cathedral. Robert was full of historical knowledge about the church and I learned some fascinating facts about Renaissance art.

Wonderful evensong service 5.15pm Monday's and Thursday's during school term. Masterfully conducted choir often accompanied by the large cathedral organ. Bible psalms and Christian hymns prayed in song often with short 5 minute sermon. Easy to get a seat near the action and enjoy up close with the few in the know. Participate in heartfelt Christian worship or just appreciate the beautiful music in the large cathedral for free.

If the heart of the city preaches the heart of God in the gospel then that is what makes that city the best in the country. And that is what makes St Andrews an amazing centre of worship and faithful Gospel declaration. Every day, whether faithful or skeptic alike, you will hear the voice of God in His Word through the various ministries that take place here. This review was written after attending their Christmas Eve service and it was a marvellous celebration of the birth of Christ, complete with choir and orchestra. I encourage you to visit this church, and make it part of your travels.

I just love looking at these buildings and having a quiet chuckle to myself that the population have been taught that convicts and free settlers built these amazing architectural wonders, accepting such utter nonsense without raising an eyebrow in suspicion let alone asking any relevant questions regarding such logistical and physical acts that are usually reserved for fairytales. 🤫

It’s a Catholic Church in Sydney. It’s innovative in many fields, for example during Covid 19 Emergency they offer streaming services and once I visited the church there was a ceremony for the blessing of the police. Great way to live the faith in our day.

The choir at St Andrew’s Cathedral is outstanding and is a source of inspiration for my son. He dreams of singing like them. He currently sings all day, every day. It was a gift hearing the choir with the organ accompanying the pitch-perfect voices. Made our Sunday extra special.

St Andrew's Cathedral is a cathedral of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney within the Anglican Church of Australia. The church is the seat of the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney and the Metropolitan of New South Wales. The position of Principal of Sydney has been taken up by Bishop Sandy Grant since December 9, 2021

A great church stand in City's center. The church is close QVB, Town Hall and train station. If you come in, you will feel quiet, holiness. Sometimes I tried when I was in city, I would like to walk in and had a sit. Just closed eyes, felt holy peaceful.

Doesn't hold a candle to St. Mary's, but a nice cathedral nonetheless. Has a nice plaza on the side.

Sydney’s very own Westminster Abbey. Located at the heart of sydney next to the town hall, this Anglican Church certainly shows how powerful and influential the clergy has been in the development of sydney. Beautiful church inside

They said this is the oldest cathedral here.. whereas the Queen Elizabeth visited this cathedral way back in 1956 (where you can see the painting). Well- maintained cathedral, and easily accessible as well. You can get off from Townhall lightrail or T1 to come here

Quiet and peaceful. This 18 century religious landmark is a place you must go and see when you are in Sydney. A great architecture, the design in the history, the art of a century and a marvel of it's era. The cathedral is a heritage-listed cathedral church of the Anglican Diocese and the seat of the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney and Metropolitan bishop of New South Wales. The building is constructed with local sand stones in 1868.

There needs to be a cap on how long those bells ring for. After an hour, who is enjoying it anymore, seriously! Bit of a joke every weekend living nearby

A stately old edifice, perfect ambience for my daughter's wedding last Sunday. The organ sounded majestic, and the organist possessed sublime skills. We were lucky to have a warm-hearted, sincere, minister officiating.

Wonderfully refreshing service and uplifting. Loved the formality of the service....we lack that now is many of our churches here in Houston Texas. We are not traveling and live-streaming is our answer. Thank you, Josephine Eager

A magificient icon built as a tribute to a guy who had nothing but a loin cloth, crown of thorns an a few nails. While it is impressive in a decorative, touristy way, it is a reminder if how sheep-like the average human being can be in the face of such prevention drama.

I live nearby and I have friends who live nearby as well. We are at our wit's end. Please, for the love of God, we urge you to stop ringing your bells. It is very disruptive. It is 7:51 PM and the bells have been ringing nonstop for the past 30 minutes. This goes on every day. Please be considerate of your neighbors! There isn't any peace to be had with these bells constantly ringing.
