Great location- but very dirty. We chose Meriton because we have had very good experiences with this chain in the Gold Coast. This is a “serviced apartment” however upon check-in we were told that due to covid they were not servicing at all… I had to ask for the kitchen to be cleaned the day after check-in as I was not at all comfortable to use the kitchen at all… it’s was still left to be desired after the second clean. We also had to ask for toilet paper and dish tablets… this was not cheap accommodation… but it was not worth the price at all… there was a long wait for the elevators… I wouldn’t recommend for anyone with basic hygiene standards…

On the positive side - the view is amazing! On the negative side - everything else. Dirty, tired aged and the lifts are a disgrace (waited 25min). One of the photos shows a hole in the laminated glass on Level 65. We were looking forward to coming here but have been very disappointed. We actually had this place booked for a second visit to Sydney later this year but have cancelled. I’d avoid!

For paying a premium for five days this was a poor experience. At that price I expect the room furniture to be outstanding not worn and tattered sofas, the bathroom fittings were tired and need renewal and just one lift working over the easter weekend. The view from the apartment is 5 stars but the amenities have to match that to justify the cost. This is the last time I will be staying at a meriton apartment.

Our group had booked 3 rooms for a Bridal Party. Water was shut off for maintenance in the evening, air conditioning was not working all day and a bag left behind had very expensive stolen from inside. We eventually recovered the bag after being told by staff for days they did not have 'access to check lost property'. The have now found the bag, with very specific and valuable items missing from inside. The hotel has assumed no responsibility or care despite the items having been seen packed in the bag the night prior to checkout, police report will be filed. Disgusting.

I’m currently staying at the Meriton Suites World Tower, and I must say it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Despite my initial concerns stemming from negative reviews I had read, my worries were quickly dispelled upon arrival. From the moment I stepped into the premise, I was impressed by the cleanliness, neatness, and overall organization of the suites. The attention to detail was evident, and it immediately set a positive vibe/tone for my stay. However, what truly made my experience exceptional was the outstanding service provided by the staff. The staff at Meriton Suites World Tower were not only polite and professional, but they were also incredibly prompt in attending to all the requests I had. I want to extend a special thanks to Jolie, Jacob, and Glaudia from the front desk for their exceptional service. Their names stuck with me because of the personalized attention they provided, and I have no doubt that the rest of the team working behind the scenes are equally remarkable. I stayed in suite 6701 for 12 days (until 12th July 2023), and my review is current and up to date, I can confidently vouch for the exceptional service I received. The location of the hotel is another highlight, as it is incredibly well-connected. With a short train ride from the international airport to Museum Station (15mins), I was able to reach the hotel via a short 5 mins walk. Additionally, there were trams and buses nearby, making it convenient to explore other areas of Sydney. One of the significant advantages of the hotel is its proximity to various attractions/convenient stores. I was able to walk to Darling Harbour, the Australian Museum, QVB, Chinatown, BigW, Coles, Woolies, Market Place, Sea Life, Wild Life Zoo, and more, all without any hassle. This was particularly important to me as I was traveling with young children aged 4 and 7, and the accessibility of these places made our stay even more enjoyable. I noticed that there are at least 3-4 other Meriton Hotels in Sydney, and it's possible that the negative reviews came across were referring to other establishments. However, based on my experience, I can wholeheartedly recommend Meriton Suites World Tower. The team deserves high praise for their excellent service, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Thank you Team, for the outstanding service provided. Will be choosing this place again (for sure) when I’m back in Sydney next time.

Meriton suites, Kent street is a good place to stay in Sydney. It has 56 floors and our flat was well equipped. The lifts are quite advanced and seemed complicated at first but actually work very well once you get used to them. They prevent people from just wandering around the building. There is a swimming pool on the 15th floor as well as a gymn, sauna and spa. We found the tv in the room to be not at all user friendly. I had to sign into the house internet every day and it would only let me sign in if I switched it on and off at the plug. Recommended.

Stayed here with family in a 3 bedroom apartment. The room was fantastic, with great views across Sydney CBD, nothing was a bother for the staff and the pool was amazing. The chlorine is pretty strong though. Great location. Everything you need at your doorstep, food, Train station, shops, you name it it's there. Would not hesitate to stay here again. In fact I have booked their Sussex st suite for July 👍 so here's hoping it's just as good.

Superb emotions, stunning views! Spacious and stylish apartment, with everything you may need. Delicious coffee provided. High quality portable speaker - was a nice touch! As well as two armchairs with a table by the window. Comfortable beds, pillows. Sunning views. A decent swimming pool and great sauna in the common area, and almost all of the times we were there, we had them all to us. Great staff at reception. Everything was excellent! Be aware: you might reconsider your plans on spot and decide to spend more time in the apartment, reducing sightseeing 😄

Stayed in a 3 bedroom lux suite, view was fantastic but unfortunately the good experience stopped there. We had been staying here a few times previously due to great location and great view, however this would be the last time. Pool was very cold and not heated, dirty blanket; staffs was not attentive, been asking for some shampoo and body wash , twice in 4 hours but never received, bathroom fan was not working so the bathroom was very humid after use. Disappointed overall.

We stayed here for 5 night as there wasn’t too many places that offered two bedrooms apartments for a family of 4 at a reasonable price. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. We had driven up from Melbourne and found the hotel parking to be a little pricey especially when you are a paying guest. The apartment was large and a great size for our family but it was a little bit dated. The views were spectacular and the hotel was close to everything you needed. Only down fall was the waiting time for the lifts.

We stayed in a luxury 3 bedroom corner suite. The suite was massive and beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were a bit dated but that was the only draw back. Service was speedy whenever we asked for anything. The location is perfect, being walking distance to Darling harbour and Chinatown and with multiple dining venues and a supermarket just downstairs. The best part was the views, which were absolutely stunning.

Great experience for the most part. Spacious rooms and incredible views. Everything is aging a bit and the room servicing was weird, 3 rooms with 5 guests and they only provide 4 towels, small things like this stop it being a 5 Star experience. The toilet flush mechanism didn't work right and staff weren't that keen to help. Counter staff downstairs were great, unfortunately a lot of the guests seem very rude which might stress them a bit. Staff told us by email the rooms included Foxtel to watch the F1 as the online streaming service is region locked, sadly this was incorrect and when we followed up there was no response.

Very close to giving this 5 stars. I was immediately greeted by one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. Caleb was the nicest employees ever and made our wait feel like home. However, once I entered my room, I noticed that the utensils were not cleaned properly - not that much of an issue as we cleaned them ourselves. Further, our bedsheets had a very poor odour but was simply overcome by flipping the bedsheet around. I was unfortunately still worried about the hygiene as I slept and I hope that the cleaning process for the bedsheets are efficient and clean.

The most amazing Meriton 🤩😍 up to now.....I was there only for one night in March, in a very spacious 3 beds apartment, with a spectacular view of Sydney 🤓🥳, as you can see on the pictures. I really recommend it.

This hotel is one of the best I've been to! The suite was very modern and spacious and the view was incredible. The location of the hotel is very convenient making it easy for guests to easily walk or use public transport to get from one place to another. The elevators we used were really quick and the lobby has a very charming interior. I recommend Meriton Suites World Tower to anyone who would prefer a peaceful stay in the Sydney CBD. 😀

World tower Meriton staff were amazing. Would like to shout out Ranjita at the reception desk. She was extremely helpful and accomodating to our bridal party, even assisting one of the groomsmen who lost his speech in the hotel. Ranjita went above and beyond for us and made sure we were well looked after.

This hotel is in a great location, an easy walk to 2 stations, the light rail, buses and Darling Harbour. The views are fantastic. Spa and sauna on L61 are great. That’s where the good news ends. We stayed with family on one of the upper floors in a 3bdr apartment, and immediately upon check-in it was all about the money. No welcome. No tourist advice. Just hand over your credit card. There were only 1-2 lifts were working over the Easter weekend, leading to wait times of nearly 45mins. I got trapped in the car park with 2 staff and no mobile phone reception for 15 mins at one point, when the lifts stopped accepting requests.

Wonderful stay at world towers Sydney. We were on the 65th floor. Comfortable beds. Wonderful views. Loved the pool. The location is fabulous. Staff were friendly. Downside. Bathrooms old and tired. One shower had awful smell I y he drain. Tiles old. Would stay again though.

Worst decision to stay at Meriton Suites World Tower. Stayed over the weekend for a girls getaway. During check in at 3 pm, we were informed that our room wasn't ready due to it not being cleaned, resulting in a 45 minute delay. Consequently, we arrived late for our evening reservation. Later in the evening, upon our return to the hotel for drinks, our privacy was violated when two security personnel forcefully entered our room in response to a 'noise complaint'. The situation unfolded as the girls were in the midst of getting dressed, leaving us feeling incredibly uncomfortable and exposed. We complied with the request to lower the music volume, only to face further demands to ask some guests to leave, despite the room policy allowing up to 10 people until 11pm. Threats regarding the bond were made ruining our experience. This entire ordeal was immensely disappointing, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend staying at Meriton Suites World Tower.

My partner booked a room for 1 night at Meriton World Tower, as she was attending a concert and shopping for the weekend. As the concert finished at 11:30pm her and a friend were heading back to my partners room so her friend could wait for her husband to finish up at birthday which was in the city and they were going home together, upon entering the lobby and waiting for lift a security guard and the receptionist rush over and asked both of them to come to the front desk to check there credentials (which I thought was weird considering my partner had card to get into the hotel) as her friend wasn’t on the booking they asked her to leave which was just after 12am, even when my partner said “she’s not staying here she’s waiting for lift?” My partner had to wait with friend outside of the hotel until her husband arrived, to make sure she safety got home. When your paying $750 for a room I think it’s disgraceful and ridiculous as hotel to be so strict to the point you can’t have whoever you want in your room even when it’s not exceeding the room limit which was 4 people. Where’s the privacy it’s not a Airbnb it’s a hotel, would not recommend staying here.

We recently stayed with some friends and had both a 2 bedroom horizon suite and 3 bedroom corner suite. What strikes you immediately is the spaciousness of the rooms - they are extremely generous in size with spectacular views to match. Our room was on the 76th floor and I was worried about lift access and the reports of extensive delays but we didn't encounter any problems. Staff are friendly and helpful, beds are great, furniture also OK but bathrooms and fittings are showing signs of having had a hard life. Our lounge aircon wasn't working, some lights were broken / blinking, and fittings in the shower was also broken. It's mainly maintenance which has let the place down slightly. There's also some very sparse equipment levels (e.g. in kitchen, you won't even find a tea towel for drying dishes), but overall you can forgive a lot when the views and space are so great. You definitely felt comfortable just to relax in the room when needed. Would definitely recommend. The location is also quite convenient with major shops and plenty of eateries close by.

Amazing experience! A special mention to the manager on duty , Dylan who was very accommodating and ensured we were well taken care of. His professionalism and helpfulness really made our stay a memorable one. Guest service was very efficient and all the staff were great! Louis was also very friendly and sweet! We would definitely come back to stay at Meriton Suites (World Square).

We booked the 3 room suite, great views and central location but there's where the good ends. The lifts takes forever as it appeared that only lift A was working. The sofa in the living room was terrible as per the photos. It needed to be thrown out and had no place in a hotel.

Great location. Waking distance to Chinatown, Paddy’s Market and the Capitol theatre. Lovely modern rooms with amazing views.

We had a great time all in all. The rooms are all great and comfy. We had spectacular views. The receptionist and staff were all so helpful. I would like to commend Scott one of the lobby staff who excel in helping us in any way possible. Thank you for making our stay flawless!!!

Staff were rude, especially the bald man wearing a vest at the front reception. Elevators weren't working, had to wait 5-10 minutes each time to get up to our room and to the ground floor. Room was left unclean, finding stains on my bedsheets on floor 68. Found hair in the toilet bowel and along the ground. Drinking glasses and the windows around the apartment had finger stains all over it. The only good thing that occurred was we had an extra hour of checking out time after we didn't get to enter our room till an hour and a half later. For how expensive it is, we didn't receive a luxury service. Wouldn't spend $$$$ if you want a mediocre service.

We were looking for a room until we found meriton suite in world tower. However, Sabina Lee is the person that helped us to find this place. We changed so many agents before met her, she knows what she’s doing and have a great service ever. We are now happy with this place. If anyone looking for buying or renting property, I would say Meriton suites because it’s really convenient for everyone to work or travel and surrounded by plenty of shopping centers, restaurants and clubs. Recommended by Sabina Lee.

Had a wonderful stay two years back for my 30th. But I think it’s gotten a tiny bit rusty since the pandemic. Some features need a slight upgrade. Staff are super friendly though. And the view is sublime.

The Sydney penthouse room is tired and in need of a refresh. Many things were broken. I could probably get past that if it were clean, but the entire place is filthy. Upon arrival our room was dusty, fridge had spills in it that had been missed, god-knows-what sticky things on the windows, and FINGERNAIL CLIPPINGS from a previous guest found in the lounge room. Utterly disgusting! I also saw used band-aids on the seats around the pool. Guest services were generally quick to respond and fix the matter, but it just would have been a lot better if we never had cause for complaint. On the positive side, the beds are very comfortable as you would expect from any Meriton. The views from the penthouse are simply spectacular. This is why it get 2 stars. We regularly stay at Meritons all over Sydney, but this experience has us questioning if we will continue to stay at this chain.

We stayed in the Horizon Suite for 5 days. The view was stunning and the location was great because it was super easy to get anywhere with the train station being so close. However, there was an issue with the heating in our room and we had to call the front desk for help multiple times before it was fixed. That was only a minor issue so we would definitely stay here again when travelling to Sydney in the future.

Booked an apartment suite for a few friends for the weekend. View was absolutely stunning and facilities were great, we used the sauna a few times. Kevin Murphy toiletries were great too. The lift situation was a hassle, they took awhile to arrive and based on the number of floors they were generally always full. Rooms could use a little TLC

  • 3/5 Lillian 1 year ago on Google
The staff were lovely, check-in was easy, and the view was amazing. But that's about it. The room we stayed in was quite dirty. There were scuff marks, scratches and even dents on all the walls, the lounge was covered in fluff and there were stains on the dining chairs. Windows had marks over them, paint was chipped behind the beds and along the skirting boards, and there was black mould in the base and drains of all the showers. For the price we were paying, I would definitely expect better. We only stayed for two nights but that was definitely enough. Doubt we'll be back anytime soon
