The place is like a sauna. Very clean but can’t sleep. Beds are very comfortable but if you can sleep in high humidity you are ok. No aircon in a place that could be lovely to stay. Staff lovely but dated rooms and would stay in a place with aircon next time. We were struggling with the lack of aircon.

The room was good nice and clean. but wasn’t the nice holiday vacay room we expected a bit off from photos and no outdoor views or balcony for the sea view provably thats why it was cheaper than others around the area overall a great experience for the money. would recommend if you’re looking to save some cash and some fun. great place for frequent vistors aswell as its close to most of the main attractions didn’t had any issues with hotel staff everyone was nice and welcoming.

The location is great, and the staff were nice. However there were a couple of things to note: The room was very old and quite dull. There was a thick layer of dust on most surfaces. The bathroom ceiling was covered in black mould and there was an exposed pipe coming out of the ceiling with a plastic bag taped over it. The “king sized” bed is actually just two single mattresses pushed together - quite uncomfortable Our room was directly off the reception meaning there was little privacy, we were kept up late at night by the hotel receptionist talking on the phone and by other guests. A fully equipped kitchen was advertised however there was no fridge apart from the very small mini fridge in our room, no bowls either. If you are wanting somewhere for just a night or two - not bad , however any longer and I wouldn’t recommend.

A bit below neutral…Comfortable enough for us, room and linen was clean (room smelled a lot like mothballs!). This place was full of middle aged men who don’t know how to close the shared bathroom door lol. The shared bathroom made us ( 2 x 20 year old women) feel pretty uncomfortable and they got dirty very quickly. The location however is gorgeous with a nice strip of restaurants/cafes close by.

Great location, great prices, decent rooms, poor wifi. I got a room with shared bathrooms on the lower floor, which is probably why my wifi was terrible. The hotel is only a 3 min walk from a ferry terminal, allowing for quick access to Circular Quay (comes every 30 min). The room itself was decent, but the other reviews are true in that it is very humid. There is a single bathroom and shower on the lower floor, but there are 3 showers, 3 toilets, and 3 sinks in the 2nd floor (3rd floor for Americans). The kitchen looks decent with utensils there for general use. I recommend this place for the budget travelers who will use this accomodations to only really sleep and not much more. It has a great price, and you get what you pay for.

Just no. It’s cheap for a reason. The place is old so whenever wind blows, the entire building SHAKES. I couldn’t sleep because it felt like earthquakes every 15mins. In this weather, there’s NO aircond, very poor circulation, I felt like I was suffocating in this room. Spend a little more money to get at least a comfortable night’s sleep.

Parking here is awful, as with most of Sydney. 1st in best dressed and if you miss one of the parks, chances are you will risk adding the cost of a fine to your accommodation costs. The room I had came with its own shower/toilet, but there are others where this is shared. I know it is Sydney, but for the price, I was expecting something a lot better. The whole place just felt tired.

Location, convenience, quiet, cosy. The NBL has it all. Quick Ferry ride to Circular Quay, very quick Bus trip to Neutral Bay. Perfect.

Nice staff, great location, within reach of wharf with regular boat service makes this great place to stay. The staff are very nice, changed towels, soaps every day. Premises are clean, including toilets. But the property itself is old one so, no lift, staff assisted with moving luggage. No aircon, I guess you get what you pay for!!!! if you can compromise on few you can get nice place for short stays!!!

“I recently stayed at Neutral Bay Lodge, and my experience was quite delightful. The room was beautifully clean and well-maintained, although it was on the smaller side. Nevertheless, it felt cozy and comfortable.

I was silly and accidently booked my room a month later. The very lovely lady at the front counter was very understanding and was able to help us out. 11/10

Had to park way down the street after circling trying to find a spot. Narrow staircases, share bathroom and toilet, water and towels all over the floor. Claustrophobic room. Smell of other people's cooking from share kitchen invading our room making me nauseous, and I was bitten by mosquitoes in the room.

-very noisy. We stayed for 6 nights and we didn’t sleep well at all. Our room was facing the road and the heavy doors were slammed a whole night. - room was too small - the cupboard is too small. You can hardly use it. We had to have our suitcases open. We don’t mind this, however when the room is too small, there is not space for the suitcases. Overall, our mood was affected really badly throughout the stay as we didn’t get enough sleep so I don’t recommend staying there.

The staff member that attended to my booking was completely rude so much to the point that I asked her if she was okay? Rooms are dirty, Black mould. Not acceptable for a 1 night budget stay (Even when don’t expect much just a clean bed to sleep in) Shared Bathrooms and dirty and felt weird the way they are mapped out.

Stayed in a twin share with my friend on a 5 day visit to Sydney. Building is Art Deco heritage trust, so yes it is dated but homely and cosy at the same time. All facilities clean and what we expected. For the price you are really in for a good deal. Beds made, fresh towels every day, kitchen facilities, outdoor seating for that glass of wine at the end of the day and very friendly helpful staff. Four minute walk to the ferry, cafe, restaurant, shopping close by if needed. We loved our stay, will recommend and return 😇👍

Disgusting place. No privacy, had to share toilet, bathroom and kitchen with random people. We locked ourselves out of room and called emergency number so many times, but no answer and no call back. When we asked the receptionist next day, all she said was “Sorry, I slept through all these calls”. Not even worth 1 star. Very unprofessional.

Decor is tired and shabby, but the beds are comfortable and the showers hot. I had the king room with ensuite and the room is large and airy and I was grateful for the big desk to be able to do some work. The staff is friendly. Some on site parking available, but it's right near the ferry should you need to get into the CBD. It's about a 20 minute walk to North Sydney CBD, and about 10 minutes to Neutral Bay shops. If you don't need something up market, this place is excellent value for money. I can't speak for the communal kitchen, since I didn't use it

I’m disgusted at how bad this place is. It is nowhere close to what they show in pictures. Locked myself out of the room and called after hour number 1000 times, nobody responded. I had to barge in through window. No parking on the spot, even though it was mentioned that there was one. No paper towel in the toilet (which is shared). Rooms are ugly and too old. Even though, we booked two rooms, still had to share bathroom and toilet with strangers. We wanted privacy for girls night but there were too many people around.

Great lodge with nice rooms in Neutral Bay. On the same road as the Ferry Wharf. Great staff, kitchen and bathroom facilities. Guest laundry on site. Not much parking available but there is street parking as well

This is a reasonably priced hotel in neutral Bay. It was in a great location for a wedding we had in the area. The place had comfy beds, was clean & tidy. We scored one of the on-site parking spots. Give it a try

Terrible mattress; "king size" bed was two singles pushed together and hurt my back. Exorbitant price for a substandard room. Not clean; other people's hair in the shower and around the room when I arrived. No air-conditioning. Great location but that's about it.
