Amazing old ottoman house, around 400 years old of I'm not wrong. Entrance is 2 Euros. They close at 16h.

All the other reviews have it right: a beautifully preserved house, with exquisite rugs, woodwork, traditional clothing and cooking items, and a real sense of what it must have felt like to live here hundreds of years ago. The owner welcomed us and showed us around and told us about his family home, even though it was closed for August. A welcome shady oasis from the summer sun and a fascinating piece of authentic history.

Absolutely mesmerising. Beautiful architecture, the host is a friendly man happy to tell you about its history and takes care of it. It's not as touristy as the other Ottoman houses in the city since it's not on the main street and you need to know which way to go. Definitely worth the few extra blocks, don't miss it! There's an entrance fee, I think

Was closed when we arrived so little disappointed. But we rang the bell and waited a few minutes. Then as we were walking away, the owner came down the hill and said they were closed for a break but he happened to be nearby so he’s let us in. He gave us a nice history and then we walked around. Really cool to see a hundreds of years old house from ottoman times. Peaceful oasis. Sad they he’s not allowed to continue the renovation

The most beautiful Ottoman house I have ever seen. I recommend everyone to make the visit with the explanation of its owner, an authentic Kajtaz, a kind, friendly, cultured and sensitive man. If I lived in Mostar I would like to be his friend!

You have 2 other authentical ottoman houses in Mostar but this one is the real one. Everything belongs to the Kajtaz family and isn't staged. The owner is from the family Kajtaz and explains the history of the house and the family. Entrance is very cheap (5km I believe). So if you want to see a historical house in Mostar this is the place to be

If you want to wander into a Turkish home in 16th century Bosnia, you should visit Kajtaz house! Two floors and a courtyard are kept historically intact so you can experience true ottoman culture. The price is only about 2 Euros and you can even sit on the long couch in the man of the house’s chamber!

Authentic 1500s Ottoman residence hidden up a side street directly east of the bridge south of the historic mostar bridge. Barely signposted... Just walk up the neighborhood alley about 70m ( it's just after the point you think you've missed it). UNESCO listed but privately owned makes it somewhat awkward... You ring a doorbell and wait (& wait) for a neighbour to come with a key. Token entry fee couple of euros but you're free to roam... shoeless for the upstairs. Amazingly cool inside and hard to believe the vintage. Very much an eye opener of ottoman family life. An essential detour while visiting Mostar.

Absolutely loved this hidden jem at the heart of Master old town. It is well preserved so one can get the feel of how it would have been to live here some hundred years back.

Lovely house, maybe a little expensive 12KM for 2.
