Actually an okay place to stay. Unfortunately the grandma of the house was really rude to us, screamed at us and I got the vibe she is maybe homophob or something. The daughter therefore was super nice and lovely.

Very nice clean hostel, accommodation. Location near all walking distance, staff friendly and helpful, plenty of stores near by kitchen etc ..area to park bike . Staff can provide plenty of information for near by area how to get etc..! Owner mother no English but daughter English perfect..! But they get you straight up one way or another.. 😂

I booked one night here and ended up staying for three because it was just that awesome. Sonja is extremely helpful and friendly and is more than accommodating. Talk to her about where you want to go and what you want to do and she will make sure that you are getting the best deal possible. Her and he mother do an excellent job running this place and are by far the sweetest ladies I have met on my trip. The hostel was very clean (cleaned every day) with plenty of hot water, excellent air conditioning and comfortable beds. Enjoy!

Very lovely hostel! Great home vibes to meet other travelers and Sonja and her mama are really sweet and nice! And they remember everybody's name! :) Dani was very nice as well and did a wonderful tour to the monastery, waterfalls and some other nice spots!! I had a great and lovely time! Thank youu :D

It’s a nice place with owners that are warm and hospitable. When I was there (end of April), the room was cool, which I like. The owners help you find your way around town (best burek is actually around the corner and they know a bank that charges no commission on withdrawals).

Had a good time. The lady is old and friendly. She welcomed us and helped us to plan our further trip even though we had a language barrier. Highly recommend it.

The hostel is great! The owners are really nice, they offer you transfer and private tours for a good price. The hostel is clean and has a kitchen with enough space. Would definitely recommend!

I visited 62 countries and this hostel is definitively one of my favorite ever ! The location is perfect ! (5 minutes walking from the old bridge, close to all amenities you need). The price is so cheap and for this you have air conditioning in the room (you really need it in summer), a so quiet terrace ... Room is big, confortable and cleant everyday ... And wonderful wifi connection ! But best of the best : Sonja and her family ! Wonderful people who made everything to help me during my stay in Mostar but even also for all my trip in Bosnia ! Mervelous people who share whatever they Can with you (Bosnian coffee, pizzas ...) And they propose a tour to visit the surroundings of Mostar ... I highly recommand this tour cheaper than in town ! This is the place to stay in Mostar !!

Very good hostel, I stayed for 2 nights. The couple running hostel are very welcoming. It’s very near to old bridge too. Prices also great.

Downtown hostel has everything a backpacker is looking for; a cozy, clean bed, kitchen for cooking, outdoor patio for relaxing, and all that for a very cheap price (which is always good for us backpackers). But most importantly, the owner, Sonja, is the sweetest and most accommodating hostel owner I've came across! Thank you, Sonja, for your hospitality you showed. She truly cares about her guests and makes you feel like Downtown hostel is your home away from home. 110% recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Mostar, Bosnia.

The common rooms were chilly and there wasn't much space to hang out, but the rooms were warm and cozy and the lockers were a good size. Other than that the hostel was great, but what really made the stay amazing was Sonja. She went out of her way to check on her residents and make sure we were comfortable. She even spent her birthday driving one of the other residents and I to our next destination since we were going to the same place and stopped at a couple cool places along the way. She's the sweetest and staying at Downtown is definitely worth it if you're spending a few nights in Mostar.

Everything about the hostel is perfect. It's clean, has a kitchen, warm water, comfortable beds, heating and lockers. The location is amazing. The best feature is definitely the hosts. Sonja is fun, helpful, and welcoming. She helped me rent a car and gave me a ride to a neighboring village that was out of the way. Highly recommend a stay here

My stay at Downtown Hostel was wonderful. Located in the centre of Mostar, this hostel is run by Sonja, a wonderful woman who's always willing to help and will give you the best hints on everything you can do around Mostar (museums, restaurants, towns nearby...). She's always up for a chat and making you laugh. Her mum is also really nice, even though she doesn't speak English, it is really easy to communicate with her. Hostel is really well equipped with a nice kitchen, showers and nice patios (if the weather is enjoyable, which usually is). Everything is utterly clean and the atmosphere is warm and familiar. I reccomend it 100%!
