Great hostel! They provided shoe polish for free, which is exactly what I needed as a long-term backpacker. I look for hostels that put in that extra effort on the small details of providing. Miran was a fun guy and the breakfast was great for a hostel: boiled eggs, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, bread, cereal, and of course coffee.

If you are visiting Mostar, this is the place to book. During our stay, Miran went above and beyond at every single opportunity to make our experience better. If you have the chance to attend, his all-day tour of Mostar and nearby sites is an experience you will never forget.

Miran and his wife were the best hosts. I would HIGHLY recommend the war tour that Miran gives- the most emotional and personal tour I’ve ever done. The communal breakfast is great for getting to know everyone in the hostel. This was an amazing experience and made our trip to Mostar so special

This is a pleasant, clean hostel that had most of the amenities we needed. It is basic and small and noise travels. The kitchen is in an space that feels a bit awkward to utilise and there is only two toilets for the whole hostel. Seems to suit a certain kind of traveler very well and it is probably quite nice compared to the rest of the area :)

I would give 6 stars if I could. Out of all my travels over the past 11 years of being a solo traveller, this was the first hostel I stayed where I felt like family. Miran goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Greeting guests with juice, fruit, and socializing constantly. Beds are comfortable, and AirCon is available (but I don‘t think private rooms have it). Breakfast is filling as well! His day tour of Herzegovina and the War Stories was incredible and highly emotional with his own stories. Just overall, stay here if you‘re looking for a great hostel!! Just note; this is not a drinking or party hostel. People will go out and have a drink or two, but this is not set up for that. If you‘re looking to party hard go elsewhere.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Small and comfortable hostel. Highly recommend Mirans Tour, great value and really eye opening. Was a great way to meet others staying in the hostel. Miran took very good care of us and he even fixed my broken fan for me. The location of the hostel is good too, close walk to Old Town/Old Bridge and Bus Station. Cash only (Euro & Marks) Thank you Miran

If you don’t like Miran, you don’t like life. This was one of the best hostel experiences I’ve made in 30 countries. Miran is an honest soul who knows everything in his town and will help you with anything. The dorms are super. The tour was the best I ever got for 55€. Appreciate your help and your honest opinion on so many things! I will come again ;)

Miran is a genuine and caring guy who clearly wants the best for all of his residents. Had a great stay here and would definitely recommend if you're visiting Mostar. His tour is fantastic too! I particularly enjoyed the olive oil with breakfast :)

Miran is an absolute legend! He makes everyone feel so welcome into his hostel and just makes you fall in love with Mostar. Miran’s day tour is an absolute must! You see so many amazing things and learn about the history of Mostar. The location is perfect, short walk to the shops and bridge. Thankyou for everything!

Budget friendly hostel run by a nice little family. Miran has been running the hostel for more than 18 years now and he also fought as a soldier in the Bosnian Army when they were trying to capture Mostar; you can expect a lot of stories when you meet him! I don’t have pictures from the hostel; just don’t expect luxury when you visit there. Attaching picture of the Herzegovina tour pamphlet & a video while we were on the way. I would highly recommend you to go for this amazing tour, combined with a war tour. Thank you Miran for making my stay worth it! :))

Really great hostel, even greater host. Honest and heartful guy who can tell you what it was like surviving the war in Mostar. He can share heartbreaking stories in 1 sentence and joke around with you in the next. Google "crazy bosnian guy" and he will show up. Definitely recommend, not if you're in search for a party hostel but if you're interested in the most recent history of Bosnia and Hercegowina and its people.

MIRAN, the man behind the name of the hostel is the soul of the place and makes it what it is. I was traveling solo and he helped me out immensely with the local tour as well as a quick trip to kotor and persat ( absolutely ethereal places). You can count on the guy and his cozy lil place :)

Brilliant hostel. We had a great stay here. Miran is a dedicated professional to the hostel business, and an absolutely great guy. Giving the best service and showing you the best of Mostar. Highly recommend the tours provided also.

This place is a must for the more intellectual backpackers who are into history and culture, and still have a good backpacker vibe minus late nights partying and hangovers. The rooms are spacious and they also have a kitchen for cooking. They have a nice living room for breakfast or hanging out or working on your laptop. Bathrooms were clean. Make sure to flip the switch beside the light switch for the boiler and wait 10 minutes to get hot water in shower. But the water pressure is good so you don't need a whole lot of time in shower. Miran had breakfast one morning and I enjoyed hearing his stories. He has tours, but sadly I did not make it due to a project I was working on. But I am sure they are good! He is a funny, positive person. Hope to see you again! Hvala lepše!

This hostel is great. A nice breakfast to get the day started. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Not a party hostel but a good place to meet other travelers. Walking distance to the train/bus station. I recommend staying for multiple nights. Spend one day around Mostar and another on Miran's tour (Herzegovina region + War Tour). One of the best day trips I've ever been on. Miran is such a cool guy. We need more people like him in this world. His wife is very helpful as well. Easy 5 stars!

Honestly one of my favourite places I have ever stayed. The atmosphere is one of the best I've experienced with an outdoor garden area where everyone can chat, but still allowing others to sleep due to no drinking of alcohol and the garden clossing at 11pm. There is also a free brekfast included in the price which is a very welcome addition featuring traditional bosnian burek. The location is also perfect as the bus/train station is 5mins away and thr old town 10mins away. Miran goes above and beyond and is also hilarious and brilliant fun, his war tour is also very interesting but at the same time harrowing hearing his first hand experience of the war. 10/10 I will be back at somepoint.

We drove all the way from Dubrovnik to Mostar for a day trip and especially to take the war tour with Miran. The tour lasted longer than expected, he gave a lot of personal details - sharing emotional stories and a part of his past with us. He was very friendly and inviting. Totally worth the trip!

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at and Miran is one of the coolest guy I’ve ever met, he helped me and my friends when we were stuck in the border between Montenegro and Bosnia. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. If you stay in Mostar you have to stay here.
