Nice view over the city, the walk up from the city will take up to 1.5 hours. You can take a taxi to almost top. Was the hike worth it? Thats a good question, probably not but we had nothing else to do anyway

Provocative and nothing else. Pretty shameful to use a symbol of Christ to provoke Muslims in Mostar with its bloody sad history

Good place to see mostar from above. There is a lot of trash around the area. Looks like a place where people come to drink and sleep. The cross isn't something special.

The jump into this place was so easy. We used a normal car and it reached us to this point smoothly without having the need of hiking or a 4WD car. Come here and get ready to mingle with the wind!

Well, view is alight. Place itself is silly, epitome of political abuse which turned a hill and a cross into a weapon of war and cultural domination.

The view of the city is nice, but as others have said, you can't see Old Town. The cross itself is not terribly impressive. We walked up from Old Town using suggested route on Google maps. It took maybe 1.5 hours. There is a hiking trail not shown on Google maps, which we took down. Its overgrown in a few spots, but more interesting and much shorter than road route...and probably safer. It is marked with white dot surrounded by red circle, starting from city streets not far from bell tower. Head up the steps behind the concrete wall in one photo and take a left at top and follow the road and markers. The start / end of the trail is in the trees behind the blue car maybe 3-5 minutes walk from the steps.

Great view of Mostar. We went there at sunset and saw Mostar dove into the night. If you are in Mostar for a longer period of time, you should plan a visit.

While the architecture of the cross itself may not be particularly impressive, the stunning panoramic views make up for it. This a great spot for surveying the city or admiring mountain tops around Mostar. Walking distance from the cross are also the ruins of an Austria-Hungarian fortress, adding a historical element to the visit. For couples, the cross is a well-known smooching spot, especially during sunset. The romantic atmosphere, coupled with the stunning views, make it a perfect place for a romantic date or a special moment with a loved one.

A nice viewpoint across Mostar. It's a good way to escape the crowds and get some tranquility. We drove up, but I imagine you could walk it if you had a couple of spare hours. There are no amenities at the top, so don't expect a coffee break anywhere, but for a quick stop and a photo opportunity it's lovely. The downside is it's not particularly clean and tidy at the top, but if you can ignore a bit of litter it's worth a visit.

Great hike from Mostar, there's only one road to get to the top.

Ugly concrete monster. There's good view on the city however. One can imagine being an artillerist or a sniper. It's very intensive feeling, had very similar in Dolphi's bunker at Wolfsschanze </ironybuttrue>

I used google maps route, which follows the car road. Not the safest way to go! Unfortunately the old bridge can't be seen from the top. Still a nice little hike to start a day.

For an enormous cross, not a soul visited this site during our half hour there. The view is nice but you can't see the old city from here. If walking the Stations of the Cross is your thing, you can do this from the start of the road in. We walked up using a barely marked track on the edge of town that Google won't show you.

Such a beautiful view of the city from up here. On the way up you can see the stations of the Cross along the way. There is a road that is paved and drivable that you can take a car up on. Once at the top the cross stands towering over the city. You don't understand how large it is until you see it in person.

Fantastic view of the city but be advised: do NOT walk here unless you are OK with walking on a slightly busy highway (R424), which would be very dangerous with children... Otherwise just follow Google Maps.

Best spot for a city overview — must see.
