If you are into historical places, you should definitely visit this one. Moussa dreamed about this castle ever since he was a little boy. It aims at showing us the history of our country and how are grandparents used to live. Its 100,000 LBP per person where you will have a full tour in the castle and enjoy every detail about it.

Well, it is more of a museum to show you the life of the village where Moussa lived in. The display of the art is very expressive. Once you enter the place, you feel like to do live with them. The statues look so real. Also, there was a nice man who was playing music and singing in the museum using his instruments 😎. Take a look at the photos. You will find a board that is very inspiring.

Lots of fun for the whole family. Step back into time with the wax museum. Read about popular Lebanese folklore. You can spend an hour or the entire day. If you love old weapons, this place has a huge collection. Well kept. Clean. Organized. My boys really had a great day there.

This is an amazing place and it should not be missed during your visit to the area. This place has history and the story behind it is a story of love, hope and will. This castle shows a unique part of the history of the country where it is never seen these days even in our villages. While standing there you can compare our past with our present and future. Moussa has built this uniquely designed place and it should stay there for the years to come.

Mousse Castle was someone’s Labour of love, and it shows! Historic weapons and artifacts from different eras on display, and the different rooms and levels, what an accomplishment in building this!

Moussa Castle is a truly unique and special place. It was built by a Lebanese visionary, Moussa Maamari, who handcrafted every stone with his own hands. The castle is a testament of dedication and truly a sight to behold. The castle is located in the Chouf Mountains, and it offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The interior of the castle is just as impressive as the exterior. It is filled with beautiful artwork and artifacts, and it feels like a step back in time. Moussa Castle is a showcase of Lebanese heritage. The castle's architecture is a blend of traditional Lebanese and European styles, and the artwork and artifacts inside the castle reflect the rich history of Lebanon. If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable experience, I highly recommend visiting Moussa Castle. It is a truly special place that will leave you feeling inspired and proud of the Lebanese heritage.

Moussa Castle is not about the story of a man with a dream. It’s about the resilience of the human spirit. Two thumbs up.

Unique Museum, built by one man from scratch, based on his vision, he spent his whole life doing that, and he succeeded in building an amazing place with some of the handcrafted artwork, picturing the life during a long period, also the museum include a big range of old weapons used in 17th and 18th centuries, amazing history. You should see it

Moussa castle is a story of a man that defied the odds. Entrance fee $5 pp. I recommend going there because it is a museum of all the tools that was used in the 18th and 19th century. It is well maintained, well ventilated, about an 35 min to 1 h depending on how much you wanna spend inside. The rababa player is a nice add to the place.

House built from the 1930’s by a man who dreamed to live in a castle. On the inside, dolls show biblical scenes, Lebanese customs and collectible objects.

The place is interesting and well-organized. Good weapons collection. 5$ entrance which is a little bit over priced

Its a good place to visit, you will see some old lebanese culture, but the problem will be the temperature in there better in winter, plus the location was too far from beirut which was not easy

  • 4/5 Merfily M. 1 year ago on Google
The idea that one person had a vision to build this castle and to pursue this vision and make it materialise is great inspiration. Nice collection of items and past vintage collections, really nice. However, there were way too many vintage weapons. It is not appealing to many. However the collections were from several timelines. Would recommend visiting at least once. Had a good time knowing about lebanese past cultures and habits. Would like to see more vintage collections other than weapons next time.

Obviously a great historical place to visit. Though I was a bit disappointed the place is actually an arms collection and wax museum. I would have loved to see history of how the place was actually built and became what it is.
