I
really
wanted
to
love
this
place
after
all
the
amazing
things
I
heard
about
it.
I
was
really
looking
forward
to
my
stay,
but
the
experience
overall
was
dull
and
underwhelming.
This
hotel
is
made
up
of
three
main
areas
only:
the
rooms,
the
outside
seating
area
/
restaurant
(which
is
rather
small
and
limited),
and
the
pool.
And
that’s
pretty
much
it.
No
spa.
No
gardens
or
various
outdoor
areas
where
you
can
enjoy
the
night
sky
or
the
horizon.
No
activities.
Nothing.
However,
there
are
lots
of
empty
spaces
that
could
be
much
better
utilized,
but
they’re
not.
They’re
just
empty.
Compared
to
the
price
point,
you
do
not
get
what
you
pay
for.
The
place
is
expensive
for
two
reasons
only:
for
the
sake
of
just
being
expensive,
and
because
the
palace
is
a
historical/heritage
site.
It
is
worth
mentioning
that
the
historical
features
or
architecture
is
nice,
but
then
you
quickly
get
over
them.
The
main
/
head
receptionist
has
taken
a
vow
not
to
smile.
In
many
instances,
he
made
me
feel
like
an
intruder
on
the
site.
I
do
not
remember
his
name;
it
is
NOT
Alaa
and
NOT
Nabil,
both
of
whom
were
just
so
respectful,
professional,
and
friendly.
Other
members
of
staff
were
more
cheerful
and
welcoming.
The
waiters
at
the
restaurant
are
warm
and
helpful.
Special
thanks
to
Firas
and
Moneeb,
both
of
whom
were
extra
courteous
and
helpful.
The
food…
meh.
Nothing
special.
The
prices
are
all
in
dollars
though.
I
ordered
the
Italian
sausage,
and
it
was
both
greasy
and
salty,
which
is
something
I
do
not
expect
in
a
place
like
this.
The
Lebanese
dishes
were
perhaps
better
prepared.
The
portions
are
big
and
suitable
for
more
than
one
person.
The
pool
area
is
nice
and
slightly
wide.
However,
service
does
not
seem
to
find
its
way
there.
I
sat
there
for
nearly
an
hour
and
a
half
before
a
member
of
the
staff
showed
up.
I
asked
for
a
menu
and
an
ashtray.
After
receiving
them,
the
waiter
said
he
would
be
back
to
take
my
order,
but
he
never
showed
up.
I
had
booked
an
executive
room,
which
happened
to
overlook
the
roof,
and
maintenance
personnel
often
have
to
fix
stuff
there,
so
I
was
compelled
on
numerous
occasions
to
keep
my
curtains
closed
for
privacy
concerns.
To
be
honest,
I
did
not
feel
comfortable
in
that
room
because
of
this.
Overall,
I
did
not
feel
at
home
here.
Aside
from
the
historical
status
of
the
place
(which
is
something
I
got
over
in
the
first
hour
of
my
stay),
it
is
very
difficult
to
justify
the
four
stars
and
the
price
point.
In
short,
the
place
is
unjustifiably
overpriced,
boring,
and
underwhelming.
I
recommend
you
stay
at
other
much
more
engaging
and
cost-worthy
places.
