Great park. Not a whole lot of shade but there's a large pavilion for just that purpose!

We stopped at this park on the way through Maryland during a 5 hour drive so our kids could stretch their legs. The park was clean, well kept and the kids loved it. There's a section with out door instruments that my youngest loved and my oldest absolutely loved the rope climbing web that goes to tree house.

Great park. Has a little bit of everything. While walking the 1.8 mile trail, I seen tennis courts, soccer field, playground, exercise equipment and a dog park.

There is a sizable fenced in area for the dog park, sectioned into three runs. The walking loop is hilly and scenic. And a new playground for younger children is a wonderful area. Clean and well kept.

I love visiting Watkins! It's such a nice, clean, and safe place to take a walk or let the kids play. There's a short, beautiful Rails-to-Trails hiking path that's constantly being improved. The playground and other areas are nicely maintained. Plus- there's a restroom!

Love this park. Alot of parking spaces, picnic tables, pavillion with tables that can be rented out for special functions or just used for family picnics. Great playground for kids, and many walking paths that are handicap friendly. Beautiful scenery surrounding the entire area. Many trash cans available to put your trash in, many acres of grass to play on with kids or your animals. Tennis courts, clean bathrooms available.

This is my go to spot for a nice walk and to relax on a sunny day. Got nice shaded picnic tables to hang out with friends, all with attached community grills to use so you can have yourself a pretty good barbeque. The Volleyball court looks well maintained and I know a few people who frequent it that seem to enjoy it. The play area is new, but I'm an adult without kids so I don't know how good those are but usually see kids so I'd guess people like them. The courts seem well maintained as well. The path around the park is what I use most, passing a nice dog play enclosure to let dogs just run around safely. About a mile in length, it's easy to calculate distance for runs and with some inclines and such, it makes for a nice varied walk or run. All and all, I've seen more people since they made the path to downtown bridged and a lot easier to walk. And is still a clean park, so no real downsides to spend time there.

Really fun park for the kids & family. The playground has structures for big and small kids, plus multiple size swings for kids with different abilities. Lots of amenities for tennis, baseball/softball, and walking trails.

For a grass soccer pitch near a local park It was better than expected for a 9v9 field less than 24 hours after some heavy rain It was drained and playable.

Wonderful facility with 3 separate areas for pups of all sizes. Clean up bags and trash cans are provided and there's a water fountain at the entrance. There is also a pavilion for shade.

Nice local park with a dog park and tennis courts. It is used by the community quite frequently so it can get a bit crowded. Otherwise, definitely go!

Always a crowd pleaser! 2 separate parks in the same general vicinity, one for older kids & one for toddlers. We use the older one more, which has a very cool climbing apparatus, multiple slides, and a recently added mini-skate park!

Best place to grow up! Playground for when I was a kiddo, competitive court environment for teens, and great walking path for whole family.

I grew up in Mt Airy and Watkins has always been a staple for me. I think they've done a great job with upgrading the fields, offering a new and exciting playground while keeping the good old running track that kept me in shape for so many years. I really enjoy the fact that I spent my childhood at this park and I can now bring my own kids to the same one and they have just as good a time.

Park was nice and clean. Not that many people at the time. Friendly visitors. Not loud at all. Good weather made our experience amazing
