Rondon Ridge is a Lodge and a Restaurant. I have only been to the restaurant. The food is good especially the fish and chips. RR sits onto a mountain overlooking the city of Mount Hagen. They have what I would consider a small petting zoo. It is a nice place to go and get away for a few hours.

Beautiful place overlooking the nearby town. Good and hospitable with very friendly staff. The rooms are of modern architecture and there is constant supply of electricity and hot water. Fresh mountain air with spectacular views and nature trails. The only issues would be interrupt internet connection and the challenge in maintaining the road condition leading up to the lodge. Otherwise a very good place to retreat and unwind.

Your first visit, it is exciting but if you go there often, you can get bored. Unless if you just want to sit in calm, peaceful serenity. Saturdays during the day - restaurant is not open until evening. Service is slow so order early. But accommodation ia great. You have two types of rooms to choose from. The standard rooms are great too but the other has a better view! There's also the Governor's suite - very pricey though!

Great place to stay for a breakor for a small workshop or conference 20 or so people. Good is good...if a little slow. Staff very friendly. Great easy bush walks. Fresh mountain air. Spectacular views.

Thought roads are under construction but challenging, Best place to relax and reminiscing. Rooms and other structure are excellent. Foods are great. Staff are very accommodating and very kind. Nice gardens and everything around it.... I'll be back...

A stunning mountain lodge with all the comforts. So special to sit above the Hagen valley in front of a fire with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Waking up in rooms with an uninterrupted view down the valley never gets tiresome. The lodge is well-run and operated sustainably. A welcome break from the bustle and noise of the townships and cities. Lots of walks in jungle including nine waterfalls, as well as an orchid garden. Fully catered by the Rondon Team with locally-sourced ingredients. Love staying here. Highly recommend.

Was very impressed to visit this great place. If you're in Mt Hagen, take time to visit this unique Lodge ,you won't regret it.

Rondon Ridge environment and climate is very good place. But don't get your hopes up about the food. Even if they promise to give what you order, you will only get what they have available, possibly a completely different meal than your order. One time we got spoiled barramundi with potato chips. Another time our order was whole roasted chicken but we received fried chicken fillets. They accepted the order, and did not inform us that the whole chicken was not available.

Best rooms in the Highlands. Make sure to book the split level, self-contained executive rooms. 2 stories of floor to ceiling glass for an epic view of the valley and city below.

This is a charming restaurant and hotel with a spectacular view. We visited for lunch only. The restaurant has a great ambience and view. All facilities were excellent. The food was very tasty but not all menu items were available. (Standard PNG) I would highly recommend Rondon Ridge as a daytrip from Mount Hagen. The drive is scenic and the road mostly in good condition. Be sure of your directions before you leave or have google maps guide you. Rondon Ridge had no obvious sign from the main road.

Nestled amongst thick forest vegetation, at an elevated point above the Mt. Hagen town, it is much cooler, peaceful, and boasts a mini wildlife sanctuary. A must visit and see location.

RONDON RIDGE is the place to visit. They got first class self ensuit rooms and spacious balconies. Food are very nice,fresh and delicious. Three course meal. Whether very cold and mist. Forge every morning. Good view looking down to Mt Hagen Town.

What a breathtaking view from Rondon Reach to Mt.Hagen Town and the food and accommodations are great.

This is probably the best view in.the Western Highlands as it is nestled into the hillside overlooking Mt Hagen and the Waghi Valley. The accommodation is of the highest standard in the area with each room looking out over the valley. Food was well presented and served quite quickly. All in all a great exoerience

Would definitely get 5 stars if the service was faster! The view and grounds are fantastic! The animals are awesome to watch! Food took over an hour to be served. We had to go find the waitress to order food and drinks! Food is delicious though! Would definitely recommend making this place a stop while in Mt. Hagen!

Great place to stay. So relaxing

A beautiful and scenic place to visit or hideaway. Rondon Ridge is just a 45 minute drive out of Hagen town. Situated on a mountain just behind the main town it is hideaway paradise. With a variety of suits and small apartments it had alot to offer, including a group of friendly staff who will see to all needs. Rondon has being visited by many prominent members of high status ranging from famous figures and great leaders. Also surrounding the vicinity of the place is a natural park filled with various species of animals and plants making you feel one with nature.

Best Hidden Get Away... well worth the rugged drive from Mt Hagen CBD.
