They charge in USD for some strange reason. A regular Whooper Meal in US is $8.77. But here it's $16. I hope they're paying their staff in USD too (but I'm sure they're not).

The food was good. Better than the other local branches. But prices were very very high.

Absolute rip off but there's not much to eat as a vegetarian at the airport. The smallest fries and drink available was $10 usd. The fries were cold and the TINY packet was only half full. If anyone reads this bring your own food before coming to the airport and avoid this place at all costs

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Probably my worst food ever. We ordered the same veggie burgers me and my husband, yet they came out like two different burgers. Different bread, different filling, different taste (well, mine had something that might looked like a trace of salad in it). We ordered cheese, did not get it. Drinks where all wrong and customer service a complete disaster. I guess they can continue this highly over priced lowest of low standard business only cause there barely are any other options at the airport. If you read this before going to the airport: make sure to stop by the eating area on the highway, bring some delicious veggie rotis and save loads of dollars while enjoying something actually eatable.

Have to leave 1 star because zero star was not an option. Total rip off with extremely filthy quality. Save your money and eat elsewhere , they are selling garbage here. USD $ 16 for a burger meal and $4 wings which are basically bones bones and no chicken on them. Not sure if this is an official Burger King franchise as I am surprised how it is even allowed to operate with this quality.

On 01/11/2023 my husband and I had the utmost displeasure of visiting the Burger King at Katunayaka International Airport. From the get go, the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The customer service person at the counter was cold, looked like he couldn’t care less for the customers and was constantly getting distracted chatting to people from the shops around. Price was unreasonably expensive, however we still decided to give it a chance since we were craving a burger meal. The biggest disappointment to us was the food itself. Food was cold, unappetising, I was not expecting a cafe style coffee at a Burger King, but what we got was worse than a cofee you would get a roadside 7/11. To top it off, my husband posted a review about our experience, only to get asked by the owner ‘why u eat here’ as a reponse to the review. I believe it speaks volumes about their service more than what I wrote about our own experience. We ate at this shop only because the brand name BURGER KING is an internationally renowned fast food chain with a reputation for great food at an affordable price point. It is a shame that you managed to defy those expectations all in one go.

Wondering how they reached 2.7 rating. Wanted to have a nice breakfast as we have a delayed flight but ended up in horribly cooked not even cooked breakfast. Coffee is the top notch one of all of those, they made it with tamarind beans I guess, screwed up my morning as well as my stomach. I don't know these guys will read or respond to this comments or ratings, if they would have done that they could have possible end up in closing this outlet in Srilanka International Airport.

Bought a meal for our kids! A simple cheese burger which was cold and really not edible.. I asked them to make a new one instead but the Manager 'Dylan' refused to do it. The meal was 11$ which is already ridiculous expensive!!! Anyways also had two napkins on the table which were full of snort of someone. VERY VERY VERY BAD! MANAGEMENT. SPECIALLY DYLAN THE MANAGER WAS VERY RUDE!!!

Worst burger king ever in the world!!! They are charging you the world highest-burgerking price but the quality of sandwich is world-worst. Better to go to any other cafe or recommend to order something in your airplane.

Super expensive (see other reviews), flthy dining area, and poor service (poor communication + mistakes). All seemingly due to poor management.

The food is garbage. The price will shock you. During my stay in Sri Lanka I got used to not checking prices because they are good everywhere so we got a double whopper meal, chicken cheese sticks and 2 coffees and paid $31. And I felt discomfort in my stomach even before I finished my coffee. Problem is that it's the first place to eat after the security checks and people just come here because they trust the brand. Avoid!

Possibly the worst BK you can find. Chicken does not taste like chicken at all - my sandwich was pretty disguisting, to be honest. Texture & taste is really bad. Asked the cashier if menu drink can be coffee, which she confirmed. Then got charged $2 more for coffee without any heads up. The only thing okay was the fries.

Prices are criminally high! Bandaranaike Airport authorities which allows this should be embarrassed for authorising such practices! Shame shame shame!!

After long time traveling in srilanka we get same cool french fries and the good Wopper BK cool too. We are explain to the menager that it was cold including there was no time given for the Whopper from 1-12. He was not very helping us. Srilanaka BK is the best ;( We was so happy to see are BK but now we not same back home

Can you imagine to pay usd38 for this much of food in Sri Lanka and not in Japan??! Just ridiculously expensive! Unfortunately that was for my 2 picky kids who do not eat local food...what to say, I perhaps deserved it!

2 stars because honesty the burger was excellent and the fries were fresh. However, burger is very small and the meal was more expensive than in other western airports.

A ripoff. Very highly priced burger doesn’t come with cheese unless you pay an additional $2 for cheese. Their large fries $7 will only qualify for a small fries in the US. If you charge in premium dollars provide the same value that is provided elsewhere. Don’t give junk and simply charge money. If you look at the Burger King logo that should tell you they don’t even have the logo done well. Shame!

Most expensive meal I’ve had in Sri Lanka, even more expensive than in Europe 😅 after we checked the receipt we saw they charged us more than was displayed on the boards, when we asked they said it was because it was a large meal… but they never told us when we ordered. He said it was already done so they couldn’t change it but they gave us a bottle of water instead 👍🙃

The most ridiculous pricing I have ever experienced with a fast food . Pepsi 5 usd, 4 pcs of mini chicken wings 4 usd, whooper 11 usd.....i thought I had a good deal with my chicken, but when it arrived on the table I needed a microscope 🔬 to find them. Fortunately I had a quick bite at a MD 10 I'm before airport and their menu at 500 lot (2.5 usd ) is for a coke, 2 excellent boneless chicken, and a cup of rice.

We didn't read the reviews before going there. They are extremely expensive compared to any parts of the world.... A burger meal for $16 USD. We didn't have many choices at the airport but the food was lovely.

I got a dine in order until my flight i was ordered spicy meal it was very good taste same as frice. Manager & staffs are had a best service. I am really happy

This joke is here only because there are are no fair options on this airport. Been charged 40% more and ended up paying 30€ for the possibly worst meal in my life. Tasted like shoes and it was already dry. Pity I cannot give zero stars

Horrible chicken / most likely reheated in oil and served. Taste horrible. Not recommended at all . These guys still on 2015 guys check the printing lol.

Do yourself a favor and just hit the barista coffee shop across for better food, drinks, and prices. Had to cut my vacation a day short because of how much I paid for a whopper here.

Discussed do not buy. They took over half hour five plus staff only three customers. Flight was calling so asked for my money back as order wasn't even cooked. They refused putting any thing they could find in a bag. After I was getting frantic to catch my plane. What was in the bag was not edible not even the correct drink. Had to go in the bin 12 euros. The staff were shameful. Other customers also were not best pleased. This should be closed down poor hygiene and terrible customer service.

Good staff and too busy plays but the service good and fresh food❤️ thank you so mush Burger King🙏🙏
