This review is going to sound exaggerated, I wish it was. Visited this location on a Sunday evening with the family. The place was empty compared to how I remember Cracker Barrel’s to be growing up. Service was non existent, like literally unsure if our server was actually in the building. We sat at our table for over 30 minutes and never saw our waitress a single time. A couple times other staff stopped by and said our “waitress” would be with us within “a few minutes” because she was “busy doing things in the back” - after the 4th time hearing this - we walked out. On the way out told a manager who was sitting working on a schedule how embarrassing the service was. She claimed she had no idea - but multiple members of our party recall seeing her look at our table. Probably a good thing, because the cleanliness of this place was disgusting. This is where the review is going to sound exaggerated, I wish this next part was - I have, with 100% honesty, been to highway rest stops that were cleaner than this restaurant. Why not leave sooner you may ask? Truth is I was just craving the dumplings. Will never go to a Cracker Barrel again. I say both corporate and the health department should make a visit to this location

I don’t usually write reviews however tonight’s service was unacceptable. Our server at the Flint location, Ava, hardly was a server. We ordered food after waiting 30 min to order, then waited another hour to get our COLD food. We then asked for biscuits (they were supposed to come with our meal) and you guessed it we never received them. Our drinks never got filled, the dinning room was empty. The 3 tables in addition to us were also wondering where their food was. Our bill came fast (of course when we asked for it). My husband put a tip on the table and wouldn’t you know it Ava took it in a matter of 1 minute. The fastest she ever came to the table the whole time we were there. You may ask why I didn’t talk to a manager? She too was coffee clutching with the workers. We will not be back.

This is my second time eating lunch here and the food is amazing 🤩 I’ve only had their breakfast but the lunch and dinner is better then any restaurants I’ve been going to lately. I ordered the chicken dinner $10.99 for 4 pieces plus 2 sides. The greens and macaroni and cheese was super yummy. My daughter ordered the burger and fries we both had leftovers. This time my server was very friendly and made sure we never needed anything.

We were on a bus tour, we called 10 minutes out and the manager was able to accommodate all 55 of us. The food was good Gevetta is the only name I remember 😋 Everything was great!! Thank you and Congratulations to the young manager!!

We came here on our way home from a trip. The food was hot but the portions were smaller. They had plenty of staff but had a couple menu items missing due to lack of them in stock. The waiter was new and helpful. We were treated very well here. The food lacked something from the normal but we were full when we left. I hope it gets better our next visit. There's nothing better than those Dumplings and Carrots when they are right. Our biscuits were better than average so that was a plus. Thinking about it now the options in the store were cheaper than remembered. We will return here with hopes of it being how we remembered. The staff made up for the food this time.

I've been to many Cracker Barrels across the country. We were seated right away (a pleasant surprise). We waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken. For the record, the restaurant was only at 60% occupancy. Every single table in our section was seated after us and received their meals before us. Several inquiries as to our order were met with "Well, we're really behind" or " the kitchen is slow today." At the 40 minute mark, our cold food arrived. I was actually getting ready to walk. I have always given wait staff the benefit of the doubt but this was too much. As I stood up, our meals arrived. But watching others file in, eat, and leave while we waited in vain didn't bode well for Cracker Barrel. We're afraid to ever go to one again.

See my picture, I can't believe a cook would actually put this on a plate. Can you say burnt and so don't care about the customer! This is the grilled chicken tendon loins if you don't recognize what it is.

Dirty floors dirty tables smelly empty bathrooms. You can smell the urine in the dinning room all the way to the back corner.... If I didn't have to drive all day today I'd go somewhere else I hope I don't get food poisoning 🤦🏼‍♀️ Some staff was nice and some seemed to really hate it there.. Update: we ended up leaving without eating, my food was Luke warm not even my child could eat her nasty grilled cheese. Only thing we could eat was the casserole tots at least they were hot...

Told there was a 15-minute wait, ended up 35 minutes before being seated then served cold weak coffee. Food, Service and Atmosphere means little after that.

My wife and I went here for Thanksgiving dinner and the food looked dry and not fresh. Our stuffing tasted grainy not cooked all the way. The sweet potato casserole tasted ok the green beans tasted watery. The cornbread was over done. I ordered the peach tea and it had a piece of plastic in it. Today 11-24-22 thanksgiving night at the flint location my wife and I went here for dinner. And we sat down after a good 8 minute wait. After we sat down and waitress was Wanda and we placed our order and felt like we was rushed and I understand that it somewhat busy but no need to rush us or others. So we placed our orders and we finally got our bread after a 6 minute wait and no silverware. After a good 5 minutes went by our food finally arrived and all I can say is what a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT the two pictures on the left are my plate and the picture on the right is my wife's plate. My plate looks like I got the bottom of the barrel and the amount of sage that was on our plates and the portion amount was unfortunate as you can see. We did not eat I got up and paid 32 dollars for nothing and what topped it off I went the and asked I'm guessing the manager in a black jacket for a to go cup and his response was for what rudely response I said for water what else.

The waitress was a wonderful older woman. She was fabulous. However the kitchen lost our ticket so we had to change the order to a "to go" because we'd already been there over an hour waiting. It took another 20 minutes to put our food in boxes. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel. By the time I got it and got home, '15 min drive' it was ice cold. No sorry for the wait, no discount, no nothin.

It was a bit of a mess, half the items we ordered ended up being out of stock one of those items was fried chicken which seems to be a staple on their menu so not sure how could be out of it. Ordered the sirloin sampler at the table as well asked for medium came out extremely under done also very greasy. The Mac n cheese side was very watery, they still have the holiday insert in the menu which has the holiday country fried turkey was told its no longer available either after order was placed . Dont remember it being like this in the past

Called ahead on a Tuesday and spoke to Unique that there would be a party of 15 seniors coming there for lunch on Thursday at 1pm. I asked if they could accommodate us. I was told that they didn't take reservations, but as long as they knew we were coming they would try and keep an area open. I said our seniors were mostly in their mid 80's and couldn't stand long. Well we got their at the scheduled time, was told they did t know anything about us, that they just had a party of Red Hat ladies, so it would be a wait, had no place to put us. At that point I took a walk through the restaurant, they were correct that the 2 front sections were full, but the 3rd section was completely empty. They could have turned tables and sat us immediately in that section, where with a menu and a glass of water would have made the wait more tolerable. Then 40 min later we were seated when the Red Hat ladies were leaving. Then we had one waitress for 15? We ordered only to be told 15 minutes later they were out of meatloaf and green beans which 1/3 of our party had ordered. The 2nd replacement order was taken with more wait time. Two of our party ordered the roast beef and it had so much fat on it it was sent back. We go to a different restaurant every month and all but 1 have been happy to have us visit. Will not be going back to Cracker Barrel which is sad as i feel they could have done so much better. Our waitress was the only saving grace, she was wonderful and did her very best.

This was our second visit to this location and we were again very impressed. We were seated quickly and served quickly. All staff were very cordial. Our food came out fast, and it was delicious! My steak (country boy breakfast) was cooked exactly how I asked for it when normally other locations generally overcook it. My grits were perfect and my eggs were served exactly as requested. My wife got the fried chicken and said it was amazing 😀👍. I would say the bathrooms were definitely not clean, not that it’s an excuse but I don’t think ever been to cracker barrel that had really clean bathrooms.

It was terrible l. We sat in the Flint store for over 25 min. Our wait staff met us at the table quickly and said she would be back as soon as she delivered food to 1 table. She walked past us 3 times but only once with food. She brought is water 15 minutes later but said nothing. We found a waitstaff and ask for service she found our waiter then came back out from the kitchen stating our waiter would be right out. 10 minutes later she came out with nothing in her hands. We said 5 more minutes and looked as she was chatting with other staff. We got up and left and she watched us w/o saying a word. The store was not busy. We did not wait to be seated. 1:15 in the afternoon in the Flint MI store.

Did delivery. DoorDash driver sent her son(about 10-12 years old) in with the food. He dropped a 32 oz cup of berry tea inside the door of our building. (Cost me 3.39).So I only got one cup of tea. I gave him a bunch of paper towels to clean it up when he left. But I went down later to check. Found the wadded up paper towels stuffed by the rail in the elevator. And then had to go back up & get a roll of paper towels to clean up the mess he left. Didn’t get my Milk Chocolate Raspberry sticks that I was charged for (6.49). And the meatloaf was dry & hard. Looked like the end piece of the loaf & was about a half serving. Chicken & dumplings were very bland & tasteless. But the chicken pot pie was very good & enough for 2 people. So even though the pot pie was good; overall I wasn’t pleased with the food or service from DoorDash. And the picture is the dried up meatloaf that only filled about a third of the takeout container.

When we arrived they told us it would be a 20min wait, no issue there it was a Sunday afternoon. An hour later, we finally were seated. It then took another hour and a half for us to be able to order and receive our food, at one point we had to flag someone down to ask who and where our waitress was cause Noone had come to our table since the hostess sat us. Finally someone(believe it was a manager) came and took our order they couldn't tell us what a side of something cost(no big deal) told us they had a pick 2 and a pick 3 for starters(there was no pick 3, we were charged full price for the 3rd not what the person told us) things that we ordered they were out of, we were never told this when we ordered, we found this out when the waitress brought out our food and it was missing a few things. When we asked for them she finally told us they were out(not her fault she didn't take our order) it would of been nice to know the entries we ordered were missing items to them so we would of known or chosen different items. The food was good when we finally got it.

Crackel barrel has great food. But also a wonderful gift store before you actually walk into the actual restaurant. Great place to go for holiday shopping. And just to grab a bite to Eat.

We brought a charter bus with 47 passengers here. They were incredible!! We called ahead to let them know we were coming, and the manager Matt was really great! They got all of the orders in, and food was out fast. The wait staff was amazing. Most restaurants would have thrown a fit about a bus load of people near the end of the night. These guys were super stars. Can't thank them enough for being so accommodating!

After going to a couple other locations back in December and January, and getting horrible service, this location changed that and showed the service Cracker Barrel is known for. Yes there was a mistake on my sides at first, but the waitress corrected that right away. Meal was great and filling.

Wasn't offered biscuits or muffins. Salads came as an after thought. Only one of the three meals presented was edible. Hash brown casserole was cold and hard in spots. Green beans wee covered in gravy because they put it in the same plate with a gravy style dish. Waited 10 minutes for refills on drinks. Waitress was either overwhelmed or distracted.

We love cracker barrel. We made a special trip, as all trips to cracker barrel are special. We love the store, everything about it. Usually. Sadly, tonight was different. Although quite empty, the food took forever and when it got there it was cold. Especially the biscuits. I ordered fish and yes, cold fish is gross. We were both hungry and we ate what was served to us. We tipped our waitress well over 20% and she was doing the best that she could. The greeter was polite and everybody was nice. Still, the food was a bummer and really gross tonight. Have you ever eaten cold grits? Yuck. Still, we are grateful to be able to come to a nice place like this. Perhaps next time we'll just hit up the one in bridgeport.

This is a great Cracker Barrel location. They are consistent in everything. However, they were tested yesterday! Thanksgiving was rough for these employees. We arrived with a party of 9, told 45-50 min wait. No problem. 1 hour later we still weren't called so I went to check. They had 2 tables for a large party and the folks there were taking their time. We were told we could wait or we could be split into multiple tables close to each other. We went with this option. Our server, a young man, was visibly stressed out and struggling to keep up. It was obvious they were VERY short staffed. He got our drinks and took our order just fine. When we asked for corn bread he sighed. He told us they were running out of food, the kitchen was running about an hour behind on orders and staff and customers were walking out. He was stressed. That was the last time we saw him...I think he walked off the job too. Sadly this kid had no help! Management and support staff should have been pouring drinks and helping out instead of standing around or cleaning tables! I asked a lady cleaning a table for drink refills, she said okay then disappeared, lame! Enter Camille J. to save the day!! Our new server was amazing. I was not surprised Camile has waited on us before. She has a great personality and made sure we had everything we needed. If she was stressed out she hid it well, a true professional. Thank you Camille and all of the Cracker Barrel employees who stayed to take care of their customers and make sure we enjoyed Thanksgiving. You are appreciated! Keep up the great work.

Called a week before. Day before. 1.5 hour away. Only one server for 43 on a bus. No helper with the drinks waters, coffee at first then one other did. Manager in aTShirt has yet carried a clean or dirty plate. They served raw meat. 35 minutes still no food orders taken for 16 passengers. Clearly not regular Cracker Barrel Standards. Should have gone to the other one.

We got there early on a Sunday morning so I don't know if this is different during the week and Saturday or if it's different each day. We got there and she said they don't start lunch for like another 10-15 minutes but she was willing to take my order for lunch. I ordered the pot roast with three sides, mashed potatoes and two sides of carrots. I absolutely love their cook carrots when my carrots came to the table. When I cut into him you could see the steam so rising out of them. They were perfect. Because we got there early and I had to wait a few minutes for them to even start my lunch gave me time to shop in the store. They've got their fall stuff out. 🎃🍂

Not my usual sort of restaurant as I usually avoid generic family dinning. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and food. The people who seated me and took payment were cheery above expectations. What really impressed me was the quickness, personality and attentiveness of my server, Tammy. It was like she read my mind. I’ve had $300 dinners where the service was not even close. There must be an excellent management culture at this location to foster and retain talent like Tammy.
