One of Mt Pleasant's best parks for picnics! We just had family photos taken here, and they turned out great! All trails are paved and great for walking and biking. The little covered bridge was a wonderful addition to the park! Note: There is no playground equipment, but there are restrooms.

MY WIFE & I were sightseeing in the area when WE ventured to the Nelson Park in the Mt. Pleasant area. WE visited for a while, & even met a couple of guys that were visiting the park. It was a pleasant atmosphere, & the 4 of US Prayed together!

Beautiful area that's been a place to enjoy for the past few decades. The memories of the deer and Smokey the bear are some I'll always have. Nice place to stop and relax for a break when your in town

Nice park off the city. First time here with my daughter and our pups. Will be a nice spot in spring and summer to use the river.

Great park for photography and photo shoots in general. This place has a whole lot going for it. The park looks great, has a great view of the river, as well as some very nice places to sit and watch the water. You can really tell that the people maintaining the park care about their job, there's all sorts of little things in the landscaping that shows real care. I liked seeing all the people out and about the several times I was there. Lots of people were out enjoying the sun and walking the trail. That's just great! The city should be proud of this little gem along the water as it's a thing to be proud of.
