The lady working there has amazing customer service skills. The food was also amazing, but the proportions on the salad were way too small for the price. It was very disappointing because I was still hungry after I was done.

Excellent food. Yaks was the best sandwich place I have ever been to. One person in our party thought it was the best breakfast she had ever had from a restaurant. Delicious breakfast burritos. They also have the option to put your breakfast burrito in a bowl, to be gluten free. All the bacon any of us had was the best we ever tasted:not too greasy, and not too dry. If I could rate it 6 out of 5 stars, I would.

The best restaurant in Mt Shasta. I was here for 5 days and I ate here 7 times. Their breakfast wraps are amazing and so are their massive burgers. Would highly recommended, lots of vegan options if needed.

Cute shop in a Beautiful town! The Breakfast burritos we had were delicious and large portions. I had the "Smokin" and it was delicious and very spicy🥵We stopped here in the winter so the pictures show the beauty.

This is a strange little place. They only have outdoor seating, you counter order inside a small space, and pick up outside at a window. The food was ready fairly quick, and smelled amazing. It was good, but not WOW. And for $52 for 2 burgers, upgraded with fries instead of chips, and 2 drinks, it was just OK. Not a place I would go to twice.

I stopped in for a quick lunch and was really impressed by the amazing food! All the ingredients were excellent quality and the value was extraordinary. I ordered the chicken bacon bowl, which had rice and beans with kale, chicken, bacon bits and a chipotle dressing. It was fantastic; the flavors melding together and creating a really delicious meal. I almost went back and ordered something else for later! Overall it's a neat restaurant location; a very small building with mostly outdoor seating, which is fine especially with nice weather as the views of town and Shasta are great. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the service was very quick, I only waited a few minutes for my order to be ready. I can't wait to stop by again and try something else!

Had breakfast burritos - first time I've ever had delicious pastrami in a burrito (and the Chipotle sauce was amazing). Staff was awesome, very friendly, with a fun way of calling you up when your order is ready. 100% sure we will eventually revisit!

Wow. Incredible burgers and fries. Extremely generous helpings and so tasty. Their coffee offerings are great too. The service is so helpful and friendly. And you're given a hilarious name they call out when your order is ready. There is a big patio space outside on days when the weather is nice. Can't say enough about this place! 5 x 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔

There are vegan options, but they were not to my liking. If you like your food seasoned, this may not be the spot for you. The atmosphere was very pleasant, seating was out doors - great energy, and the service was awesome.

AWESOME BURGERS AND EVEN BETTER COFFEE. Timely and fun. I like the way they give you a silly name to use to pk up your food. Easy to access with parking very close. Fries are the bomb 💣 as well

The lady taking the order was super patient & friendly. We came in just few minutes they close with a group of 20+ people. They were closing temporarily because of equipment malfunction. I ordered a Avo-My-Cado bowl ( option instead of burrito) really good. Although, I thought the bowl would be bigger than what I got. I also got a Happy Happy Day Smoothie....it had orange juice, banana and something else...I forgot. Not bad of a drink and best part...no too sweet.

Cute little local spot. We had the burgers and they were fresh and delicious. The fries were really good too. No indoor seating, all outside. But the weather was great, so it didn't matter. It's right on the main road, so great views of Mt. Shasta and the downtown area. It is a little on pricey side, but worth trying out.

Since I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and still have family there (and a daughter at UW), we travel up Hwy 5 frequently and it seems inevitable we are ready to stop near Weed. However, I’ve always been dismayed at the lack of good places to stop in Weed which led us to discover Yaks in Mt Shasta City. We now make a point of stopping here just because the food is fantastic and the view is amazing too. I panicked about a year ago when we stopped for lunch and found the shop closed only to discover they moved across the street to an area with extensive outdoor seating. There isn’t a place to eat indoors now so bring a blanket if it’s a cold day. Still, it’s definitely worth it. They even let you pick a name to call when your order is ready. Cute and fun. Great burgers and great vegetarian bowls and the perfect place to stop for lunch when traveling. Don’t miss this place.

Beautiful view, amazing food, great coffee. Stopped in on a Sunday morning around 10 on a freezing January morning. Mt Shasta overlooks this great little local gem. We had a Lassen Assassin burrito and the My Hammy sandwich. Both were exceptional. The eggs are so so good. Well worth the hype and the wait if your nearby. Had a mudslide drink and it was also fantastic. Will be back many times.

Incredibly impressive restaurant. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked and juicy and full of flavor. I wish there were more locations so I could enjoy Yaks Shack food more often!

Very creative, delicious, and quality ingredients. Food was outstanding! We had a burger and chicken sandwich for dinner, then went back the next morning for breakfast burritos. Everything was excellent including the service!

Best brunch place in Shasta. Great food and friendly staff. They don't have many tables and it gets busy late in the morning though, so I'd suggest going early to avoid long lines and waiting times. I've had their breakfast burritos and sandwiches and loved them. If you're visiting Shasta, you gotta check this place out.

Yaks Shack is a great restaurant right in downtown Mount Shasta. The food is wholesome and tasty. The coffee is superior to what you can find in this area. I highly recommended the breakfast burritos, more than one serving!

The best garlic fries I've ever had. I thought the Parmesan would overpower the garlic taste but every bite had a garlic taste and it had that natural garlic spice. Amazing. I wish we had this in the bay area. Burgers were really good too. They were huge and very filling. The patty tasted fresh as well. It wasn't overly greasy. Would definitely come back. Smoothie was great too. Service was super friendly and quick.

Cool atmosphere. Had the smoked breakfast burrito. It's too spicy, beware. But a nice burrito full of good ingredients. Chai tea latte was just OK. $20 for those two things.

Stopped in this small beautiful town on my way to mount Shasta. This place amazed me with a wonderfully tasting pulled chicken sandwich. You heard me right it’s not pulled beef or pulled pork. It’s pulled chicken. It’s so amazingly done the friend Onions, chicken and sauce mix together very well and gives you a unique taste. I have tried many grilled and fried sandwich and by far this is my favorite. The ingredients are so fresh and your can tell that every bite. Thanks to cooking this amazing sandwich. Food was alright. Got the bacon breakfast burrito, some cookies for the kids, and a scone. I didn't care for any of it, but that's a personal preference. Other people with me liked their food. Drinks were good. The coffee drinks were exceptional, but the smoothie wasn't much of a smoothie and I wouldn't recommend it. The atmosphere was very nice, but keep in mind there is no interior seating, just on the patio.

Highly recommended! Cute little restaurant with outstanding food! Their homemade sauces were creative and tasted amazing! So were the house made bagels - we tried jalapeño cheddar roll/bagel. As if the cute Christmas decorations and amazing food were not enough, Mt Shasta view just added on to the experience. Food, ambience and view were all 10/10.

It was such a fun place to go! The view of the mountains is great from this historic preciosa downtown place.. Loved all the dog friendly spaces. I had a jalapeño burger without a bun, and it was delicious. I also ordered a peanut butter latte that I really liked. Our order name was Goodlooking.

Yak’s is awesome! From the decor, to the staff, to the coffees, to the food. We stopped in on a whim. Didn’t even look up anything. Just rolled into Mount Shasta Boulevard and smelled this place from across the street. I had a burger which was really good. I wish that I would’ve however told them how to prepare it. It was a bit overdrawn, but I didn’t specify that I would like it medium. The french fries with the Garlic and Parmesan are out of this world! Also, sit outside and enjoy the view of Mt. Shasta! We were a party of 4. Got a chicken sandwich with bacon and ranch BBQ sauce. Vava vom was ordered as well as lave volcano and garlic burger. We also got garlic fries. Everything was amazing. Flavors worked well together. Only negative I have to say, there was a little to much sauce. Definitely need clean up in isle hands. Chips are the best! Location is on the main street super cute designs. I really wanted a tee but sizes were very limited. :( Restaurant has enjoyable seating area outside. Staff was great and helpful. Location was pretty clean. Enjoyed my visit. Just as fyi meals are closer to the $14 to $18 range.

This was an awesome stop and we'll definitely be back. I had a burger and my husband had a chicken sandwich, and we both loved the food. I got to enjoy mine on a gluten-free bun that was very fluffy and enjoyable too!
