Muddy but worth the views. March 6th 2022 mid afternoon hike. Park benches to rest on still intact since 2010. There is two picnic tables at the top so you can enjoy a picnic. Hike was relatively easy with a few tough spot but nothing to difficult. Titan did his job well keeping me upright on the slippery ice and helped the whole way.

It's a ~2.8mi round trip with 650ft of climbing trail to the top of a hill. Reasonable shade, and the steeper parts do not go on for long. Not a lot of parking below, but you can part over at the city park and walk over to the trailhead which adds a quarter mile each way. The view is ok, not great. But it's a reasonable hike for somebody who wants to kill a short amount of time.

Super great hiking trail. Perfect length to get your body warmed up. Stop at all the benches and do pushups and air squats to really get a full body feeling. Great views as well all along the trail.

Such a great trail right at the edge of town. It wanders to the top of Spring Hill. The long steady grade affords outstanding views of Mount Shasta and surrounding areas.

Moderate trail, not too rocky or steep. Will do it again for sure, good workout :)

That first bench - I could've sat there all day looking at Mt. Shasta, absolutely beautiful. It's pretty quick to get up to that one, check it out for a peaceful moment even if you don't do the whole hike! The trail is uphill but it's a relatively short hike at a comfortable grade (in my opinion) plus has benches at regular intervals to rest on if needed. It's a nice wide trail other than the rocky point loop which was a bit overgrown when I went at the end of April. Trail was dry when I went as well. Maybe I'm crazy but thought I saw a possible bear print on the rocky point loop, be noisy just in case :)

Definitely take the loop, the top of the hike is lackluster, if you go to the overlook, that's the pinnacle of the hike. The trail is fairly exposed so bring water and sunscreen.
