The hotel is your usual clean basic place to sleep. But the family that runs this place makes it nice. Thank you so much for taking the time to send our hat back to us. We appreciate it!

The hosts/hotel deserves more stars. Really appreciate their service. I didn’t pay many expectations for a 2-star hotel, but I hope I can choose them again in the future after a night stay. I was also pretty impressed by the hostess’ patience. She spoke every word clearly and made sure I understood. For example, their deal type is “pay when you stay”. When I thought I’ve paid on my way but just pre-booked, she gave me pretty detailed instructions/time to check emails and verify her words. She actively expressed understanding about my situation. In the related dangerous north California, the host used his personal cautious way to protect their guests. For example, my girlfriend and I went there around 9.30pm last night. I checked in and she was waiting for me in the car for safety reasons. The man watched the stranger's car outside at first, seemed to give her a warning, then calmed down after I told him don’t worry, that’s my partner. So, their patience and safety deserve all the respect.

We arrived to Shasta City at noon *desperate* for rest with a messy family car with no space for laying down. We reserved a room at Shasta Inn, but the check-in was later at 3pm. We were checked in to the Evergreen Lodge right away for the smallest room offering. It was almost $100 for a 1-night stay (the same price as the room we first reserved at Shasta Inn ~ which was absolutely gorgeous & worth the price). The" Evergreen lodge" room was extremely small with no stretching room (like a concrete prison cell) just enough to walk to the tiny bathroom. The beds were stiff and hard. The room smelled terrible! It smelled musty, old, and of cigarette smoking. We decided to nap and leave to our original reservation.. so when we arrived in the morning to drop off the keycard, the same man who checked us in had already checked the room out to someone else when we got there.. definitely don't recommend this place.

Nice and quiet place, good for night stop on a road trip. Everything was clean. Didn't have a hair dryer though.

We had actually booked another motel from famous motel chain but when we went and checked it, the room was too dirty and full of cigarette smell. On searching online, we found this place and decided to shift here. Best decision ever ! Our room had 2 rooms for 3 people which was very convenient. Place was clean, nearer to many restaurants and central area. And the owner lady was very nice.

Not hiker friendly. The owners are really overbearing. They don’t allow guests, even during the day. If anyone visits they will call your room immediately and tell you to kick them out or charge you more. On top of that the rooms are tiny and haven’t been remodeled since the 80’s by the look of things. Don’t stay here if you don’t want people breathing down your neck while trying to relax. Stay anywhere else.

Centrally located. Basic room, decent size, clean, comfortable bed. The front desk attendant (Bobby), goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good stay. I would definitely stay here again.

The managers are very nice. We were arriving late, so I called to let them know. When we got there, all lights were out, but they immediately turned on as we were getting out of the car. The Mrs. greeted us and checked us in.wuth mi problems. Place is clean, quiet and very close to anything you want to do in Mt. Shasta. Highly recommend.

The owners are very nice, check in was easy. The room was very small, beds were comfortable. The air conditioner was very loud. The room was dark, couldn't open windows because of privacy, no sheers on the windows. Small refrigerator and microwave. I think what we pd was too much for the room.

Clean, well-maintained rooms, in a quiet town and quiet location. Had fridge, microwave in room. The host family is SUPER nice. Only disappointment is no coffee in room or in the lobby; had to go out for morning coffee.

Amazing service, very clean, respectful, great kindness shown, the room was ready before check in. The beautiful lady was so helpful beyond expectation. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to explore Mt Shasta. Love love love it!

I try really hard to be generous to small businesses, but after a sleepless uncomfortable night and multiple inconveniences, I am struggling here. The service was friendly but the facility is in need of updates and upgrades; the location is convenient. But that tag on the still-plastic-wrapped box spring says 1995, which would explain why the mattress is a brick: no spring left. If your sleeping partner so much as breathes heavily, the entire bed shakes. Pillows are thin and flat. The bedspread is grimy and there is a hole in one of the towels, which are all a bit dingy. No coffee pot or hairdryer, but the refrigerator and microwave are nice. Tiny TV—about 30” at most, and the corner shower stall would be cozy for a larger person. The toilet paper roll is a stretch to reach for a small person, and the desk area doesn’t have a conveniently accessible outlet. Mt Shasta has the charm of being a railroad town, where trains run through day and night and blast their horns. You will get that at every location in the area, but just know it’s there. The last one I heard was around 10 PM Sunday night, and they started around 9 AM Monday morning.

Very budget friendly lodge. The host lady was super nice. We booked for two nights, but needed to change our plan. She refunded me the next night without any complaints.

We booked a room here, they called to confirm that we were coming, we arrived they had no power, no hot water, no Internet due to forest fires. We understand that they have no control over that, we asked for a discount as they didn't provide anything as promised, they refused, we would not stay here again even if they were the only place to stay again,

U can't rate this place any less than 5 star....even if you are used to a 5 star Luxurious hotel.....the premises are super clean and neat....they work very hard to maintain their business....the Location as really convenient and just far enough out of the way of the main tourist drag....the beds are very comfortable, it's really nice to be able to drink water while in the shower or from the sink....the water is so pure and refreshing in Shasta.....my favorite part of staying here the last few times is because of the Owners Botti and her husband.....she has the best cheerful smile, super sweet and kind hearted....I would rather bring my business here when I visit despite some of the fancier spots...God Bottie and her family
