This is a grass roots local venue. The meals are prepared using home style cooking techniques and tastes pretty good. Don't be thrown off by the location. The food is good and you're right on the beach with some beautiful photo opportunities at the right time. The entrance is a little obscured, it's a narrow pathway off the road.

Great little beach bar. Service is a bit slow but we found that most places on the island, and it’s hard to complain with your toes in the sand and a beautiful view. Drinks were tasty, fish cakes were decent, good prices. Great place to watch the sun set. It’s hard to find from the road because there’s not really a sign, but just ask a local when you see the Lone Star Restaurant and they’ll show you where the entrance is - it’s down a long narrow flight of stairs between two buildings!

Always good. Right on the best beach in Barbados, it's great for a sunset cocktail. Eaten here many times, all food is good, but we had the blackened Barracuda and a side of shrimp totally delicious and perfectly cooked.

The location is great right on the beach so if you are hungry the fish is fresh made on the spot so be willing to wait. Great salad near by water pipe to wash off the sand and be ready to dine .

I leave 1 because I cannot leave -1. We wait for one hour, literally, one hour and they even forgot one of the two dishes we ordered and not eveb say sorry but start arguing. Food was also terrible. Tasteless, not fresh and 4 shrimps with cold potatos for 20USD. Most terrible restaurant I have evet been. Run away from there!

Ju Ju's has expanded since we were last here pre COVID. Its been extended with nice decking and a roof so you can be in the shade. Additional chairs and tables out front as before. Same well priced food is available and good for when you are on the beach. Great team and very friendly. Thank you.

Disappointing experience. We waited for 2 hours (not kidding) to get one meal, which wasn’t particularly great. Staff wasn’t very friendly nor attentive. Not planning to come back.

Stopped here after hiring a sailing boat at the Beach Club at Fairmont over 10 times in 6 weeks. Friendly staff and prompt drinks and lunch service. Busier at the weekend as some meet here to waterski with Cyril. All food was great but appreciated the vegan burger and sausage as vegan/ veggie options are more difficult to find.

Really lovely food for such an unassuming little place. Great to watch the sunset with your feet in the sand. Staff are generally helpful and kind, if a little fed up

  • 5/5 Robert T. 1 year ago on Google
This beach bar is excellent. The rum punch certainly packs a punch and the bajan barracuda , salad, slaw and chips is so good we had it 3 times in one week. We ate in much more expensive restaurants but none as good as this simple dish. Just be aware last orders 6:15 so it’s an early dinner.

Best food we had in 3 weeks. The chips are incredible, could of lived on those alone. Let alone the barracuda. Just lovely. Beautiful spot Beautiful people Beautiful beautiful beautiful 😍

The best beach bar in Barbados and my local when on holiday, a stones throw from the Lonestar and the Royal Fairmont for me the coolest beer on the coast, always some characters knocking around one of the best sunsets there is> joanne and her team make great fish and chips bythe sea

IGNORE THE OTHER RESTAURANTS AND STOP HERE ALWAYS. The menu is straightforward and each option is comparable, whether you're looking for a full meal or you're just hoping to enjoy the seaside vibe. The restaurant spans onto the beach slightly if you want to have your toes in the sand, or has a covered section that still leaves a lot of seaview. The serving staff are friendly and willing to offer suggestions if you ask, and they always ensure that the rum punch is both strong and delicious.

Great view, great beach scene however disappointing that 1.5 litre bottles of no less than Highland Spring water available in Tesco for 60p are being sold at a staggering $7.50 that’s US not Barbados dollars, 3 times the price they are sold for in the local Massey supermarket which is the dearest supermarket on earth, come on Joanne I remember when you first opened you had 2 tables nobody had heard of you and you sold bottles of Heineken for 1 US dollar, the water thing is just pure greedy !

Nestled along the stunning West Coast of Barbados, JuJu's Beach Bar is a true hidden gem owned by the charismatic local Joanne. This daytime restaurant and bar offers an unparalleled beachside experience that effortlessly transports you to a Caribbean paradise. Whether you're seeking a tranquil escape, delectable eats, or refreshing libations, JuJu's has it all. The moment you step onto the sandy shores, you're greeted by the soothing sound of waves and the inviting atmosphere of JuJu's. The bar's charm lies in its authenticity and warmth – a place where locals and tourists seamlessly blend in a celebration of life by the sea. One of the highlights at JuJu's is indulging in a Banks beer right in the heart of the Caribbean Sea. The feeling of sipping on an ice-cold Banks beer with your toes in the sand is an experience that perfectly captures the essence of the island lifestyle. But it's not just the drinks that make JuJu's a must-visit. This eatery takes pride in being budget-friendly without compromising on quality. A bucket of chilled Banks beer won't dent your wallet, allowing you to enjoy the good times without any financial worries. When it comes to the food, JuJu's showcases the best of Barbadian cuisine. The menu features local delights that are as flavorful as they are memorable. If you're craving a lunch that embodies the true essence of the island, don't miss out on the Flying Fish Sandwich with homemade chips and a hot red pepper sauce that adds a fiery kick to every bite. For those seeking a more adventurous palate experience, the Blackened Lion Fish stands out as JuJu's signature dish. Served again with those delightful homemade chips, the blackened lionfish is a masterpiece of flavor and texture. The unique seasoning perfectly complements the fish's tender flesh, creating a harmony that's nothing short of extraordinary. And now, as promised, here's a recipe for Blackened Lion Fish that captures the magic of JuJu's Beach Bar: Ingredients: Fresh lionfish fillets 2 tablespoons paprika 1 tablespoon dried thyme 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon garlic powder 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste) Salt and pepper to taste Olive oil Instructions: In a bowl, mix paprika, thyme, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to create the blackening spice mix. Pat the lionfish fillets dry with a paper towel. Rub both sides of the fillets with olive oil to lightly coat. Sprinkle a generous amount of the blackening spice mix onto both sides of the fillets, pressing gently to adhere. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned lionfish fillets on the skillet or grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Serve the blackened lionfish fillets with a side of homemade chips and your favorite dipping sauce. JuJu's Beach Bar is not just a place to dine; it's an experience that captures the heart and soul of Barbados. With its inviting ambiance, budget-friendly offerings, and mouthwatering cuisine, this beachside haven is an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a true taste of paradise.
