Stopped in for a quick meal on the road and ended up thoroughly enjoying our meal. Staff was friendly and took great care of their customers.

Finally tried the Ol Fashioned Diner called the Huddle House. As always the negative first, it was quite dirty and service was very slow, like, we were there for an hour and a half(they did have signs saying they were short staffed and I understand that) We went at 11am, only about 5 seated tables, so don't really know what took so long, but we were patient. The food was great! Prices were excellent for the amount of food you got. In these absurd times i'd love to go back if things ever get back to normal. My wife ordered the ranch, for 12$ you get a ton of food main dish is country fried steak. I ordered the patty melt w/ fries, okra, and mac N cheese, was very good for 12$!

Stopped in Mt. Vernon at Huddle House. Had to tell the waitress twice Unsweet Tea and Black Coffee, no cream and sugar. Coffee was cold. Placed our breakfast order and waited and waited. Some moron decided to split the check 3 ways at the cash register. 2 paid cash, and 1 credit card. Should have been easy for the customers to handle together. It took 20 minutes, 2 waitresses and the manager to figure it out. Meanwhile we still have no food. When we asked about it, we were told she placed the ticket but nobody in the kitchen had pulled it, so was not even ready to cook. Did they cook it? NO. That was when the cook decided they would take a break. Manager on duty is horrible, because his staff is poorly trained. We walked out after 45 minutes and went to Burger King across the road. No more stops in Mt. Vernon again!!

We come in once before with waffle house as a reference and weren't impressed. Unfortunately I wasn't prepared for Thanksgiving so we gave them another shot. Mrs. Haylie took care of us and completely redeemed huddle house for us. We will be back!!!

My Daughter an I went in for breakfast supper... my eggs were on point, hash browns were crispy good. My daughters meal was excellent as well. She almost finished the whole thing. I went up to personally thank the cook, his name is Toby. So thank you again for a great supper and service.

Hayli and Walter make this place amazing. Have had some rough visits in the past but they are really turning it around. Food was fast and delicious. Server was very attentive and kept our glasses full. Give em a try!

Went there and there were 3 customers in there most tables were dirty with dishes on them. Sat down anyway waited about 5 minutes no acknowledgement she saw us come in. A couple on a table behind us said they had been there over 15 minutes with no service so they were leaving. So we decided to leave. The couple leaving was one of the 3 in there the other 2 tables all ready had there food. Very disappointing. We were there Oct 18th about 11AM

Order was wrong, had 2 MVP plates. Eggs raw, asked for crispy hashbrowns and they were barely cooked. Got no syrup, ketchup or pepper or paper towels, had to go up and ask for them myself. Young Cook behind grill loud and rude talking about customer having alzeheimers. Saw two other tables also send food back wrong. Waitress never returned to table. Stood in line to pay over 20 minutes and several employees knew I and another person standing in line. Sorry no tip. Learn to listen and get order correct and check on your customers. Worse experience we have ever had at this huddle house.
