This place has a lot of potential if they spread the tables out more. It's so crammed-packed you can't move, and I was getting bumped whenever somebody walked by. This seating arrangement only works if everyone is 100lbs. The music was crazy loud, and you could go down a notch to hear the people around you. The drinks were good but a little too sweet. Most comedy shows have a two-drink minimum; however, they allow me to order three drinks and my husband to order one (cause that's still four items). My husband was feeling sick, so that he couldn’t drink anything, but they insisted that he get two and I get two. Online said the doors open at six, but when we walked in we were told it’s closed & they’re still cleaning. No need to show up before 7 cause the show didn’t start till 7:30. Tony Rock was hilarious, which made up for the cramped space & constant bumping. I’m not sure I would call this place upscale like it says online~just ok.

People were a little too bunched together but maybe that was because a popular comedian was performing. Seats and tables were very close together but staff was really nice, food was awesome and overall had a great time. Just a little too bunched together for me. I will try to return when it's not as crowded. I would recommend this spot

Too close for comfort. BUT, the acts were amazing!!! Josh Blue "BLUE"(😏) it UP!!! The opening acts were so great, too! The wait staff leaves a LOT to be desired. Aloof, unobservant and blasé, they had to be tracked with a sniper's skill and flagged down practically to get a drink or food. We arrived at 7 PM, didn't get to order until 7:30, and were only approached by our server twice and had to grab her attention the other couple times. We paid $83 (not including the tip) for six 12oz domestic beers and a $12 menu item, so... you do the math. We think the second time we asked for two beers that we never got, we may have been charged for, so when we asked again for those same two we never got, she may have charged us for two more. But STILL!! Approx. $70 for even eight beers is CRAZY!!! And you are not allowed to order your own at the bar!!!!!! So, PLEASE check your receipts thoroughly. The table was postage stamp sized for four people at the front of the stage, and it wobbled when you breathed (to the dismay of the other couple who were practically sitting in our laps). This place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be EVERYTHING!! The Portabella tacos were a slam dunk, SO GOOD!! We laughed and laughed and drank and enjoyed ourselves. But consider that with some friendliness and a smile, some clean up (there was an old beer, trash napkins and straws on the stage from our arrival and the comedian had to take it off stage), some customer service training, and better spacing, this venue would be a spot I'd travel from Spartanburg, SC over and over again to frequent. I'd say check it out for yourself, but be aware. Solid three 🌟.

Went to see Gary Owen's and was disappointed with the appearance (inside) of this comedy club. It's looking a bit run-down. Leather on chairs is torn. The chairs wobble and aren't all sturdy. The wall paint is peeling, dirty/stained. The space is over-packed; too many tables and too many chairs per table...doesn't allow folk to have personal space to rest arms or sit with legs relaxed and open. We were like sardines in there...they were definitely getting all the money they could squeeze out of patrons. I was also disappointed that the 2-item minimum purchase requirement does not include the $4 bottles of water. They best part of the evening was the main comic, Gary himself. However I don't believe I'd pay to attend a show at this venue again...not even for a great performer.

Needless to say, I come for the comedy. The setup of seats in this venue and the length of time it takes to get served are far from ideal. Customers are sitting shoulder to shoulder with people at neighboring tables; if you didn't know them before you arrived, you'll be bosom buddies by the time you leave! The headliner (Majah Hype) was wrapping up before I received the final part of my food order; I thought I would have to take my food to go! It's a good thing that I was there for Majah Hype and not the ambience!

The comedians was very funny but the spacing was horrible. The tables were all close to each other, very skinny and small. The service was not good at all. I had to flag a waitress down just to get service and a refill, seeing that it was a 2 item minimum or a $15 fee per person(if nothing is purchased). The parking lot had plenty of space and it was very easy to find a spot. The check in was easy and fast. The lady even walked us to our table and showed us where we would sit. The Dj was on point. I didn’t toddler any drinks but I ordered food and it was definitely a waste of money. I ordered the chicken platter and the southeast egg rolls. You only get 2 small egg rolls cut in half. The chicken was old, hard and inedible. I definitely wouldn’t recommend seeing the acts at this location.

My husband and I had so much fun. The laughs were constant, everything ran so smoothly. The comedians were all friendly and willing to pose for pictures. The food and drinks were very good. Priced reasonably. We expected to Keenan Thompson but , that didn’t happen. A little disappointing. We still enjoyed it.

My husband and I love visiting for the shows! We loved it even more when the text discounts started for the 4 FREE tickets with a minimum of $15 spending or a two item purchase. We were a bit surprised to see that the text discounts have changed and certain big names are now at a ticket purchase only, and we are still REQUIRED to buy two items or pay $15. Hopefully, they'll reconsider that restriction or come up with a better concept for required ticket purchases.

I really enjoyed the food and the comedy show. I would definitely go back here. A nice date night place as well. After comedy show they switch it to a club and They also played good music.

Had us in the place like sardines. 2 item minimum and gratitude added on the bill. My pineapple juice was watered-down $7.50. The Cajun shrimp and fries was okay. Gary Owen was GREAT! I really enjoyed him.

I was thrilled to attend Gary Owen's show, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Taking a moment to slow down, the venue was clean but slightly outdated, and the wings and fries were decent—although I'm not a wings fan, when you're hungry, you know the drill. The bar could use a better selection of liquor, wine, and champagne for those who appreciate a nice glass. If you haven't experienced GO's show, I highly recommend it; I was in tears from the moment I sat down. His humor is the kind that makes you want to smack your neighbor at a BBQ and blame it on the alcohol. I can't wait to go back for another fantastic show. I highly recommend this venue

Don’t know what all the negative reviews are about ! I recently went to the Da’Vinchi & friends comedy tour (11/10/23) & would definitely go back ! So let me address your main concerns : 1. Capacity - this building seats 250 people (and disclaims that on their website) so yes it is a little tight space wise, but it’s a comedy THEATER (not club) so what do you expect 🤷🏾‍♀️ I had elbow room to eat and that’s all I really care about when I visit an establishment as such. 2. Food - I had the “Santa Fe Egg-rolls” 10/10 (the dip is soooo good) & the “Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich) 7/10 (you can tell they don’t use separate grease for food/desserts) . The food was NOT COLD & time wise, was like any other seated restaurant (30 minutes max). The theater was sold out so there was a full crowd and all my food came within a timely manner. 3. Drinks - I had 2 rounds of the “Spring break” (10/10) the drinks were NOT watered down & I did not wake up with a hangover (I chase with water 🤷🏾‍♀️) 4. Servers - my servers name was “Shaniya” she was fairly new and super sweet and she made sure we were well taken care of . 5. Temperature- I’m anemic & I was not cold (wore a regular jacket) Overall I rate this place a 9/10 (due to the old grease) . As far as service/time management goes. You can tell they are trying to improve management in order accommodate each review bc personally, I was scared to go after reading the reviews but you have to give people a chance to evolve!
