This is the best hotel in Chania thanks to the world class service of Miss Rena and Miss Stavroula! These women made me feel like family every evening and kept me coming back for the best food and service in the city. There are so many great places to eat but I found this hotel kitchen actually exceeded the quality of other areas. I would recommend this place to anyone are surely tell them the bar and restaurant are a must visit!

We haven't been guests to the hotel, but asked for a favour on the reception. They were polite and kind. The hotel has a superb location, just across the market, which is currently under reconstruction. The lobby is spacious and modern.

Nice hotel, amazing staff that really made us feel welcome! Traveled a lot, rarely seen hotels where we were welcomed by such nice people! Would definitely recommend staying here!

We stayed two weeks in this hotel in July 2022. The hotel staff are exceptional! They are very friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows are surprisingly good. The breakfasts are very nice, with a lot of options, including one vegetarian dish. The hotel restaurant serves excellent food. Note that the menu is a bit limited, but awesome! In case you rent a car, like us, be warned that the hotel park has a very narrow entrance: one needs to make a 90 degrees right turn, on a sometimes busy street with a lot of motorbikes. The hotel charges 8 Euro per day for using the car park. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. We plan to visit Chania again and stay there!

We're sent here by airport after wizz Air cancelled our flight. Guy on desk could not of been more helpful or calm. He was faced with 16 very tired and angry people and could not have helped more. Well done Sir.

We had a lovely experience here. All the staff without exception gave us a wonderful welcome to Greece - very professional, helpful and friendly! Stylish, clean and well equipt rooms. Staff went out of their way to make our kids feel welcome too. The dinner and breakfast was superb as well. Just wish we could have stayed longer! Many thanks.

Clean rooms, parking option with 8 euros for a day (it is hard to find a place with parking in area so that is great option), really good breakfast, also little gifts in the room 🤗

I was in Hania for the business purpose and spent 3 nights over there. Kydon hotel is a cozy place to stay. Warm people, clean room and great breakfast.

Ideal for a short break in Chania. City hotel centrally Located. across the market, near shopping streets and just 10minutes walk from the old venetian Harbour. Great breakfast. Great food. Good service. Had the best sleep as it was quiet and mattresses along with pillows were great.

I am writing this review because it is rare to come down to breakfast and see staff in uniforms who greet you with such authentic kindness and eagerness to make you happy first thing in the morning. Eri and Katerina were amazing (katapliktiki) as well as the other staff. I am not that old (: But I feel like I walked back to a time in Greece where hospitality in the tourism area was seminal. Bravo.

Highly recommend when staying in Chania! Also BEST FREDDO CAPPUCCINO and comfiest bed ever! This is a really high quality hotel, you can't go wrong with it! Staff is super nice and helpful, also the food is excellent. It's close to the old town, the beach and the bus station as well. Love everything about this place!! To whom it may concern: This was our second time at this hotel. I have to say though that our first time staying here was much more outstanding and this is thanks to the staff here. Rena and Kiki, special shout out to you again! They remembered us from last year, and these are the "little somethings" that makes somebody want to come back. Although everyone was nice this year too, we could feel that it wasn't the same this time. Last year everyone was super happy, smiling all the time, you could feel that they loved what they were doing, but this time we felt that the newbies were not as professional as the ones we recognised from last year. I feel like the people should receive more recognition! Because of last years' experience we will come back at least to say hi to the friends we made here. We came back to Crete partially because of Kydon and more specifically because of the staff, that worked here. Please have more people like we've met last year work here and give them the recognition they deserve, because it's really the key to success! ❤️

The hotel may be a 4-star classification,but the services are much more. Room amenities include ironing board and iron, slippers, great quality bathroom items, intelligent safety and and smart notifications, numerous international channels on the large TV and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is one of the best I've experienced in Greece, trust me on this. All interactions I had with the staff was friendly and beyond professional. Thank you for making my stay so relaxed and comfortable.

The hotel is in a great location, the staff were amazing, and the breakfast was great. They also had parking which was a huge plus. We encountered an issue with the AC leaking in the middle of the night in our first room. The person on duty gave us a bunch of towels, told us not to use the AC (in Crete) and that they would deal with it in the morning. In all fairness, they gave us a new room first thing that morning, but it would have been nice to not spend the night without AC. This was after spending nearly 30 hours traveling mind you. We also had to deal with some fellow Americans who lacked volume control and self awareness on how to act in a hotel hallway, but that's a cultural problem that I should be used to by now. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

This hotel was gorgeous and in the perfect spot in the city to be in walking distance to many great spots. However, the true highlight was the staff. They were so accommodating and helpful for our entire trip. We had a large group of 26 and they went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. This is a must stay for anyone in Chania, you won’t be disappointed!

The worst experience that I’ve had in my live! The hotel is very old and the rooms are very small although clean. You can listen the noise of all rooms, impossible to rest. Location is nice but there are other hotels with a nice location and for sure, with better installation and service.

Astonishing accomodation. Went here in July for my summer vacation and had an enjoyable time. The rooms are spacious and clean with confortable beds. The cleaning in the room was done daily toghether with changing the towels. Brekfast was included with all you can eat and it was flavourful. They prepar eggs in different ways, many types of cheese, milk, cereals, fruits, some vegetables juices, coffees, croissants, swits, for sure one can find something to eat. The staff is polite. They offered us a beverage on the house upon arrival. There is someone at the reception 24/7. You can leave here your luggage for few hours at checkout. I don t have the photoes anymore, but i can guarantee it is very nice

Wonderful hotel in the center of the city! The breakfast was top! Not that is was huge, but it had so yummy things and savory and sweet! The staff is very kind. The hotel is inside is beautiful and the location is just perfect!

It is a very nice hotel, very well situated in the heart of Chania. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach and also to the harbour. The hotel is better, then the most Greek hotels I have been to. The service is excellent, also the food is delicious. The room I had was big enough for two persons, quite equal to other Greek hotels. There was only one negative thing - who designed the bathroom and put a swing door to the shower? The bathroom is not big, but with the swing door the shower is accessible only for children and adults with size zero and below. You have to pass a bottleneck of approximately 30 cm between the door and the bathroom sink... A sliding door would be much better.

I have stayed here twice for a total of about 2 weeks. The rooms are very nice, and the staff is very accommodating! Plus it's probably in on of the best central locations close to old town Chania.

i stayed at the kydon for 35 days. everything was perfect, the staff was lovely, attentive to their customers. the cuisine is refined and really very good. This is a very fine hotel, providing all of the comforts of modern independent hospitality. We greatly appreciated the friendly professionalism of the staff, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast the best I've had in a hotel. We asked for a quiet room with a view, and got both. Actually all of the rooms seem to be quiet, the soundproofing is very effective, and the road outside, although frantically busy during the day, has very little traffic at night. We really enjoyed the view over the old city to the sea, and the position of the hotel makes it ideal for exploring on foot, for restaurants, and for shopping. Highly recommended.

It is one of the best hotels I visited lately. Very welcoming staff, fast service and kind attitude. The room was clean, everything is proper. A kettle was there and an ironing board. I was really surprised to find in the bedroom of my room a toothbrush set (without having to ask for it) and especially the shaving set (a shaver + shaving cream). Regarding the breakfast, it was good and the waitresses were very kind and helpful. It is located near almost all the shops, 5 to 10min walking to the harbor. See you soon,

We stayed for 10 days at Kydon for our summer vacations. I am amazed by the hospitality of the staff, friendly, always there to help. Rooms are clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. The hotel is in the city center. If you are travelling to Chania, you should go there.

Hotel: Everything was excellent. Spacious & Clean room, huge comfortable bed, big tv, big & clean bathroom. The service was amazing. Everyone was super friendly (special thanks to the restaurant’s Maître and all the ladies), kind and ready to serve your needs proactively. The breakfast was great (best scrambled eggs ever). Location: right outside the Old City Harbour (8’ walking distance). Even though at the heart of the city, we never faced any problem finding parking at the Hotel’s street. The friendliest hotel we have ever been to! The staff is very VERY nice. They help with everything. The hotel is nice, has an old-fashioned charm, but also modern. The room is perfectly clean. Our bed was huge and one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Breakfast is super, dinner is wonderful. The hotel is in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was the best vacation!
