Lovely little restaurant, most amazing owner family. Best views on the river and street art. Good beer menu and amazing samosas!! Go while still a secret tip :)

Today i walk passed through the river of Malacca and decided to have few bottle beers,there was Ram Cafe!very warm and welcoming Mrs Ram and definitely she challenge our taste buds. The warm and cozy environment added with the beautiful angle of view along the Malacca straits! We will be your regular RAM CAFE!!!

(Detailed review below) Ambiance ⭐⭐⭐ Accessibility ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cost ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stopped by here for evening drinks and it’s fairly pleasant. It is located next to another bar (not sure if it’s the same owner but they seem to share service) and the competing background music can be a little bit jarring at times. But at night, it’s a nice place to just sit, relax, enjoy some drinks and watch the world (and also the river cruise boats) go by!

We spend 2 days with friends in Malacca and we enjoy on the evening having a drink and eating snacks in this cool place. Fresh beers, good food (we only tasted snacks but there is also chinese food), peacefull music, great view along the riverside front of big street arts and finally very kind owners. Thank you !

Great place to take a rest, good drinks

We were superr hungry and went after a friend's recommendation as we don't want any experiment food outlet and now I'm cursing him.. 😅 food is okish and it's obvious price will be high due river front.. Order -- chicken popcorn, pepper chicken, fried rice, chicken Manchurian. JFYI all chicken meat were frozen. Cost -- ~Rm 80 Taste -- I didn't like it as I was expecting proper spices taste due to menu options(Indian-Malay) but ended up having tasteless food. Although the cook gave an explanation that it's on common taste but dude you can't change the ingredients if that dish was named after that! Ambience - outside sitting and can give 4 ⭐ for the view Service - Good but a bit slow.

A good place for chilling beside the river and you can enjoy the view there with the cruise pass by sometimes. Service here is really good too and even let us to sit and chill for long hours. Hope to visit here again soon.

Please try their dry chilli chicken and chicken 65 are it's great and big tiger is affordable

Nambeesan & Ram are the most gracious hosts, and the staff are all lovely and attentive too. Over three nights in Malacca this was the one Riverside Cafe/Bar where I felt safe as a woman traveling alone. The food was delicious, and being vegetarian I appreciated the options. Enjoyed a few beers & cocktails too. If you’re coming to Jonker street do stop by and chill out at Ram ~ it’s less hard sell and more a friendly ambiance. Enjoy!

This place is by the river and has a lovely view and ambience. The food and drinks selection was quite good and everything we ordered tasted great. The staff was extremely friendly and responsive. The vibe is really nice as you can just sit back and relax by the river, watch the river cruises pass by, listen to the music and enjoy food and a drink. It is a short walk down from hard rock cafe and very easy to access. Definitely worth a visit!

Egg burji was 💯💯💯 but the rest wasn’t great. Four stars for the eggs, service and the ambiance but i wouldn’t eat anything else. The chicken masala wasn’t bad but relatively forgettable. Roti was rather greasy and also cold. Beer selection pretty mediocre.

Awesome cafe... Such a lively place to relax by the Riverside... Just grab a beer and some snacks , that's all you need... Staffs are such a joy... Nirmala, the owner, she is pretty cool and the food here is very nice... Overall,if you want to spend some quality time relaxing by the river... It's the perfect place to be there...

The place is run by an old uncle and Aunty. The environment is by default by the Melaka river so no comments. The place is clean and conducive for hang out and to have a few beers. The food is something is out need to improve it.

If you are Indian you must visit this place for vegetarian food , they have some amazing options for vegetarian food , service is great very economical and good in taste you’ll get all vegetarian food there, one old lady is owner of this place they can customise your food as per your requirements

Food is great and drinks are cheap! White wine was quickly sold out though :c The music is a tad bit loud.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner of authentic Indian dishes. We brought our two year old and he had fun watching the boats on the river. The music wasn’t too loud - we could eat and talk comfortably. If you’re looking for a place with a view and good food we suggest you give this place a try!
