Great Indian restaurant. Take their advice on recommended dishes. Vindaloo was proper hot but good. Madras was perfect heat. The lamb bahari was excellent.

I genuinely don't understand how this place could get almost 5 stars. Our samosa was bland (although not oily), the Mumbai potatoes tasted like boiled potatoes and tomato sauce with raw onion. The meat in the main dishes was tender and the flavour was good I guess - however I wasn't impressed by the experience. Service was great and very attentive, but for me it just didn't turn out to be a restaurant that I'd be interested in trying again.

Went here for the first time last week and I already know we're about to be regulars — such a great find! They were super accommodating when my husband and I asked if we could eat outdoors on a cold January night (they have overhead heat lamps!), and they were able to accommodate my multiple dietary restrictions and allergies. Also love that they can customize any dish how you like it as long as you ask. The food all tasted fresh and we both loved the house special sabzi if you're looking for a delicious vegetarian main.

Great place, excellent Indian food. They accommodate special requests and adjust the hotness of the food. All our dishes were perfect and just the way we wanted them. We ordered too much and ate it all.

Went here last night and the food was excellent. Succulent chicken, gorgeous dhal and even the poppadoms were deliciously light and crispy. Definitely lives up to it's reviews. We were served by Hussain and he was delightful, warm and friendly. We will be back to try some more of this restaurant's lovely food and charming hospitality. And it is spotlessly clean!

This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had in my life. Having lived in LA and NYC , where you have a pretty good Indian food scene. This place is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The food is a 10 and so is the service. I’ll make sure to come back and bring friends next time. What a gift.

We absolutely love this family-run restaurant! I went there with my boyfriend the first time this evening and we definitely gonna go there whenever in London from now on. We have been looking for a new favourite Indian place for ages as the one we used to go closed down. Thanks To Misan and the whole team we had a wonderful dinner which we enjoyed to the max. Every single dish was good and super authentic

Absolutely fantastic experience of a traditional quaint, but modern British afternoon tea. A plethora of teas, beautiful decor, and stunning food. Some of the flavours and creative foods from edible flower pots to twisted cucumber sandwiches only added to the affair. The tableware was amazing and to top it all off we were treated to alluring love harp music. 5 out of 5.

Afternoon is the best I've had so far. Unlimited tea. You can literally try every single tea, if you wanted. The food and pastries all tasty and fresh. Nicely balanced flavours. The only thing is I wish the scones came out warm. Cold scones aren't the best. Well present too. Staff are very good. Attentive and friendly. There was live music when we went, which is lovely. All this for an amazing price!

One of the restaurant staff told us to come back during lunch time as we were too early. When we came back they tell us we needed reservations. They could have told us that the first time. Horrible communication on their part. Wasted our time.

While the service was really good and the ambiance was very nice, I was a bit disappointed with my meal (gnocchi). The price compared to the quality left a bit to be desired. The others in my group enjoyed their meals and the desserts were very nice.

Wonderful food, friendly staff including the delivery driver. I enjoy Indian food and this place does not disappoint. Flavours are definitely there and definitely hit the spot, only a few Indian restaurants can hit.(the one’s I’ve been too anyway, which is quite a few). Most places, the food loses quality when delivered however I received it on time and very hot.

There is no India Restaurant that compares to the food you get at this one. The Staff are proud of their food and they will ensure you have the best experience possible. The Chef came to our table to ensure we were enjoying his exclusive dish, I have never been catered for in such a way.

I’ve walked past this place a handful of times and always had seen it busy; it has good reviews and I thought I’d try my first Indian restaurant, having moved to the country recently. The night manager was very hospitable and gave me extra chocolates while waiting, as well as poppadoms, which I think he threw in because I waited for a little extra time. But I really didn’t mind - lovely people, delicious/aromatic food - no complaints at all, would highly recommend!

The food was disappointing. The flavours were unusual - all the sauces tasted very sweet and lacking in spice or flavour despite us being told on arrival that all dishes can be cooked according to personal taste and us then asking us for spicy. I spent 6 months of this year in Indian so I know what North Indian food should taste like. When we mentioned the feedback to the owner he just said it was the waiters last shift so he maybe wasn't doing his best! No offer to deduct some dishes from the bill or really apologise. It was a nice enough restaurant but the food was not good and I wouldn't go back

I had a chicken Naga and it was very delicious. I asked for potatoes in it and they happily agreed to do that for me. Anytime I needed a waiter they were ready to help immediately. The place was very clean and had some nice music playing in the background that wasn’t too loud. Will be back soon

Really disappointing afternoon tea. Sandwiches tasted stale and the scones were rock hard. Only thing that saved it was the service and that the venue was beautifully decorated. It's a shame as I was really looking forward to this!

I received a generous portion of avocado toast. The pancakes were like no other I've tried before. There not like traditional American pancakes, yet they were dense, rich, and satisfying. The pancakes had a hint of liqueur that I could not discern. Very enjoyable. The waiter was very attentive.

Came here for afternoon tea. Being a chain brand my expectations weren't the highest. I was wrong selection of teas and coffee were fantastic. The afternoon tea had plenty of small desserts, they were all splendid, although definitely cater to the sweeter tooth. Overall great service and lovely afternoon tea.

Really tasty food in an upmarket Mayfair restaurant! Great location (right next to Marble Arch), nice atmosphere and reasonably priced for the area too. The portion sizes don't look huge but they are just right as they are packed full with flavour. The menu has a good variety of dishes so there's something for everyone, even the fussy eaters! We all enjoyed our meals and it's somewhere I would definitely return to. Staff were very accommodating, polite and professional. Had a fantastic evening with friends, but would be perfect for a special occasion too.

Ok...this is a five star restaurant in the Marriott Park Lane- depending what you are looking for- we were seated in good comfort if not what I would describe as 5* luxury- and the waiter was professional and friendly and the food was surprisingly fast- not that I can quite believe this but yes surprisingly fast-this was a four course meal for new year for £95- I have been at other hotel restaurants before and they seem to like a very minimalist plate - if you want style it's good but not spectacular - if you want to eat the presentation is all important rather than the quantity - I also have my suspicions about some of the ladies with extremely short skirts - we went there to celebrate and we celebrated but I doubt we will be going back there- the 5* are just not what you would expect 5* to be!!! the atmosphere - corporate, very bar-esque, I was apprehensive about black tie but there were jeans-a lot- more a directorial astrosphere rather than family even if there were families there!!!

The service was not good. We arrived 15 mins before our table booking. We sat for 25 mins in a not so busy saturday evening before we were asked if we liked drinks. Our waitress seemed to be confused about what was happening regarding the fact we pre booked a surprise dinner for our friends 30th bday. Therefore she was not made to feel special by the staff at all. Food itself was presented beautifully and was tasty. But honestly, would not recommend. We came to spend. Service was slow. Waiter we had to light the birthday candles was rude. No apology was made. No one cleared our empty glasses or asked if we would like another beverage. We were left alone for so long, we had to ask for the bill twice. Which was then given to us and it was incorrect. To give Lanes of London 1 star, is already too much. Communication is needed in the team. Manners would also serve them well.

Unacceptable service We went there for coffees and croissants and we face a new manager who was rude, lazy and dishonest. We waited a while for paid coffees and the croissants. The curtains of the entrance were not used so we had this cold windy freeze on us. Miss R.K. you are a rude cow! She ridiculously made things difficult while we just tried to pay. She tried to charge me £9 for a tea then invoiced me £8 then said it was for 2 teas….. then reimbursed me after my friends strongly complained. It just ruined everything. My friends have been to the Lanes of London for years and never had any problems, well things have changed!

  • 2/5 Charlie 5 years ago on Google
The afternoon tea was fabulous, it was well presented and tasted great. There was a wide range of teas available and these where brought out in small pots so you could see all the tea leaves along with a description booklet which was a nice touch. The afternoon tea did take longer than expected to come out, we were there for an hour before it arrived which i believe is a little too long. Especially as the experience is only booked for 2 hours. The Prosecco was good and not too dry, the waiter came on a regular basis and topped up anyone's glass who needed it. We opted to pay extra for the birthday package which i would not recommend and it is defiantly not worth the money and did not live up to the description provided. We were moved rooms due to filming on the day, the origional room had a view of marble arch the new one a view of a concrete wall not quite comparable. The "Birthday decorations" was a very small handful of confetti and 3 small balloons one of which was half inflated. A few sweets sprinkled with the confetti some of which were already eaten and just empty wrappers. At £15 per person extra i would say that was a waste of money. A birthday cake was also described as part of the deal and i was actually charged extra for that but didn't notice at the time. So all in all not something I'd reccomend nor what I'd expect from here.

What a fantastic restaurant! 10 out of 10 for hospitality and food quality... I was here a few months ago and the Biriyani was to die for. After the meal they gave us shots of Baileys which was very welcome. I would recommend anyone thinking about a Saturday night takeaway during the lockdown to order from Rajdoot's. Best Indian there is in the area - or London, for that matter!

Ordered through Deliveroo. Overpriced below average food. The lamb was dry and tough. The chana masala, well I’ve never seen or tasted one like that. Bland chickpeas swimming in fat for £4.95. What a waste of £20. Can’t recommend.

Average, for the very high standard of Indian food London has to offer. The service and delivery were quick, staff were friendly, but the food was below expectations. The dal makhani which was dreadful - undercooked, lacking basic spices. I would need to try other dishes but with the options around I’ll wait. I recommend finding out for yourself!

We order regularly at Curry Paradise on South End Green, but thought we would give this a try for a change. Very disappointed. The curry was gluey and the chicken was rubbery, and the chicken tikka was smothered in oily and slimy sauce. We will stick to our usual curry house for now!

Best Indian Restaurant Very colorful: it is located in the city center, narrow rooms and aisles, a bunch of tables, almost all tables are occupied by satisfied and well-fed people, everyone is smiling. This is a real Indian restaurant. The cuisine is varied, there are many dishes, there are also ready-made sets. The waiters are fast, they bring everything, they don't make mistakes. Our waiter Sha deserves special praise) Highly recommend.

I’m really surprised at the reviews here, i’ve ordered several times and the food not that great. The food is too oily, which is an easier shortcut to try to create tasty Indian food instead of using the right fresh ingredients. Even the quality of their rice was below par so I wont be going here again.

Great food and great service! Mizan is a great host, very friendly. One of the best Indian meals I've had in London.

This place is overrated. While it is decent, it doesn't deserve almost 5 stars. Not impressed with the daal which felt more like a curry sauce and lacked lentils; other dishes were decent. Service was a bit disorganised (e.g. two items we ordered weren't delivered). It was also a bit too cold inside esp. consider outside temperatures 0 degrees.

We are visiting our daughter in London and this is her favorite Indian restaurant. The staff treated us like family & the food is amazing. The lemon rice and lobster special were my favorite but we ate everything. We will be back for another meal before we return to the U.S.

I feel so sorry to write this bad review but unfortunately the food was really not the standard I expected after reading Google review and the newspaper articles. I was very shocked how sweet all the curry dishes, all the curry dishes were basically same taste like tomato sauce with sugar, ketchup taste. I couldn't believe this was curry, couldn't taste any of spice. Tandoori chicken starter was so poor, don't understand the onions with sweet sauce on top. Nearly 100 pounds with this tasteless dishes, I was sorry for my time and money as well as for the restaurant who provides this poor food...
