Personally felt this was the biggest waste of money. First of all, most of the animals I saw were kept in TINY pens. They didn’t look happy at all... poor little pigs jumping up to try get out. Also little kittens and rabbits in super small cages? Awful stuff. Secondly, despite the people in the little houses who are meant to chat and explain things to you, one woman turned us away as she was moving ducks inside? Not very friendly. Other workers were too busy explaining bits to other people and didn’t integrate anyone else into the talk... felt excluded. The rest of the buildings had very little information in them... it was all very vague. One worker said “you can look inside” and that was all she said... got to see a few horse shoes which had 0 relevance as no information was provided. Finally, if you’re planning on bringing kids, I wouldn’t bother. Despite the few animals that may excite them, the walking distance between each building is long and boring, just bushes most of the way.

This is such a hidden treasure. Quiet emotional as a step back in time and we all have memories of these replica cottages and contents . So heartwarming to see the turf fires lighting and the bastible cake over the open fires. A well worth visit for the family and great value family ticket of 4 for 20euro. Its a 2km walk but well kept from start to finish..

Lovely farms and dwellings, you really get an insight into how people used to live back then, also a lot of animals (rabbits, ducks, cows, donkeys, little piggies and even cute little kitties!). Absolutely loved it!

We had a fabulous time at the farm today and we were able to see and pet newborn calf and chickens! All staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. Highly recommend 👌

I went here years ago with my family and friends from the USA and Australia. They love the whole experience and loved all the animals. The Irish Wolfhounds really gave them a shock when they realised how big they actually were. An excellent experience, we loved it.

Such a cool experience. Learning about the differences in the farm homes the replicas represented. Tons of animals and petting zoo area to pet baby pigs, bunnies, cows, donkeys, goats, and sheep. Took about an hour and thirty minutes to do the entire farm. Definitely worth the combo pass. Lots of parking

We went to several small villages on our trip, but this one was the best. They had homes for each size of farm typical in Ireland including animals. Many of the houses had people inside dressed up in period costumes telling stories, baking bread, etc. They were burning peat in the fireplaces. The smithy had a wood carver and the schoolhouse had a man teaching the Irish language. I definitely recommend this place if you have time.

Had a lovely time, gives u a glimpse of how people lived then. The ladies in the cottages are lovely... offered us with freshly made bread and butter. You will find many farm animals...most of them were napping when we visited. The entire farm tour would take about 60-70mins.

Very nice walk through the history. An upwards walk takes you through different traditional cottages and their adjusted courtyards. Cottages contain all the old time items and some animals can be seen on the way. The last cottage is the biggest and belonged to the richest. There's a pet farm and toilet facilities at the last cottage. Go a little bit further to find craftsmen cottages and wooden playground. Lastly you can see community hall and school. Ticket for adult are 7 e, kids go free. Gteat family day out.

Nice walk around traditional farms with kids. Not too demanding, I think ideal for children 4 to 10 to learn about the past. It's not too long and easy to walk all the way, but they also offer a bus ride if walking is too much. Informative guides play the roles of different people around farm life. Kids enjoyed it a lot.

Visited with largeTrafalgar tour group. Wonderful experience. Excellent lamb stew. Our host were 2 Michael’s and 2 Mary’s . Enjoyed listening to their stories and the music!

It a great way to spend a few hours. It brought back many happy memories of my youth and farming in the old days. Every young and old person should go there to remind them of their youth in rural Ireland many years ago. So do you self a favour and go there.

Great for all ages. The buildings and yards are chock full of artifacts and items. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Really good social, agricultural and craft history. Be mindful that the walk is about 1.6km but it is on a lovely country lane past fields with cattle and donkeys grazing.

Amazing place to visit. A must if you are in Killarney. Situated in the national park. Amazing scenery. So much to see and learn about Irish history and how people lived in recent times. Has different houses to show how people with different wealth would have lived. Has lots of animals such as great Irish wolf hounds, rabbits, horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs. Get to meet people who will tell you about the lives and try freshly baked Irish soda bread with melted butter. Smell the Irish peat fires

Lovely place, animals well looked after and the bus doing the rounds to transport you to each attraction is a great idea. All in all a lovely day out. The small woodworking lady and Tom the bus driver were lovely folks.

Fantastic experience. Staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. Such care clearly went into replicating old Irish cottages, it was like stepping back in time! The animals were adorable and well cared for. Would highly recommend.

Staff were lovely throughout. From the ladies baking fresh soda bread, the young lad snacking on it to Hugh in the school house having a sing with us and taking photos. Lovely walk, beautiful animals great craic. Thanks all.

The traditional farm was very good. The only negative is that it took a LOT more walking than expected to get to the first site and between sites. But the people in the buildings were very entertaining overall--especially the "teacher" in the school house who provide a fun lesson in Gaelic. Make sure you hit the large barn in farthest back area to pet all the baby animals, too!

It is a long walk between each of the individual houses, but there is a fantastic courtesy bus constantly circling that makes the visit so much easier. The guides were fantastically friendly and was a lovely day out in the sunshine.

This place is such a gem. Only regret is not leaving more time to explore, as we underestimated how long it would take to get round! It felt like we had taken a step back in time - it was such a treat seeing the cottages full of life, complete with farm animals, lit fireplaces and freshly baked bread. Our toddler absolutely loved seeing the cow getting milked! And everyone was so friendly, not least the bus driver who was so eager to drive us round. Highly recommend!
