Extremely poor service. Had to wait for 20 mins and then got a table outside. Atmosphere outside is not nice. Inside is too crowded. Tables are right next to each other. No privacy for talk. Kitchen is also next to the sitting area. It took more than 75 mins in total to get food. Also heard others waiting outside that they were complaining about non-professional behaviour. Cappucino was very bad. Looked like they were in rush to make it and it tasted like just water. and my girlfriend ordered hot chocolate which was made with water. Pancakes were ok. Portion was quite big. But that is all the nice stuff about this place. I would not go there again.

Cozy place with very friendly service. The pancakes were just perfect and I love the savoury options. Prices are reasonable and portions are satisfying (I'm a hungry guy and it was pretty filling for me). Will definitely visit again.

Cozy breakfast spot. My husband and I shared the Bacon plate. Pancakes were tasty - crispy tops with soft center. Eggs yolks running and nicely fried edges. So delicious! Friendly service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Great portions, attentive staff, great flavor, comfy modern atmosphere with classic diner decoration. The eggs were perfect. Preferred the sausage over the bacon. Couldn't even finish which never happens bc a girl can eat. So definitely come ravishingly hungry. Unbeatable value for price in Munich, 11/10 will be back for the sweet options

The food was delicious, exquisitely served. The Bacon Pancake Plate served with bacon, sunnyside eggs🍳 and 3 delicious pancakes. Pancakes were fluffy with a wonderful crust and we enjoyed every bite. Service was great. We would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to come back. The price is also very adequate. We order a freshly squeezed orange juice that was delicious as well.

Goto brunch place on the weekend. Do include some wait time in your schedule and some preparation time as well. The staff is friendly and tried their best to manage the crowd. The decor is American themed and takes you to a bygone era. Pancakes were fluffy and enough to stuff you for a good few hours. Definitely value for money and every option can be made vegan at an extra price. Would definitely recommend.

Cute little shop. If you blink you'll miss it. Bring cash. Staff was friendly and helpful. They spoke English. Food was ordered and came out within minutes. We ordered the bacon with an omelette on the side and it was perfect for two people. Fruit salad was food too. Small portion. Everything was just enough to get the day started. Pancakes were nice and fluffy and bacon not crispy, just how I like it.

literally the best pancakes i’ve had. I loved the authentic maple syrup that they used. It was also very interesting and yummy to have the sausages and eggs on the side. Super filling and super worth it! the staff were very hospitable and welcoming.

Find another place to eat, not worth it. We had to wait a very long time to get our pancakes (not just us, most people around us had to wait even longer). They did offer a free coffee for the long waiting time (after an hour we asked when the pancakes would be ready). The waiter did apologize. Delivery guys did get their order sooner. Our table had a big hole in it with screws sticking out. The whole place was a bit dirty and smelled bad. Weird moldy pumpkin decorations. I wonder how they get a good rating? The pancakes were tasty but not worth the wait.

This is a pancake restaurant with a very American diner/breakfast cafe. Honest establishment with great big fluffy pancakes and coffee. It's a small hole-in-the-wall first come first serve atmosphere. My party of 3 came at 11ish and found seats right away. The pancakes are really generous so come with a big appetite. The owner and the other hostesses were so nice and friendly even though they were super busy. Would definitely recommend 🥞

For a group of 6 people, the food was ready 10-15 minutes. The food looked good and tasted good. Portions are great for the price. Service in English or Deutsch.

This is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch places in Germany. The pancakes are huge and there is a huge variety of what you can get from an “American salty” meal with eggs bacon and sausage all great!!!

Just had the best pancakes (fluffy and light) with bacon & eggs and maple syrup. It’s a small cafe but offer to share a table with others and they will fit you in. Definitely worth the wait. Very nice staff even though they were very busy. They prefer cash but will accept card if you ask. Highly recommended. 👍

The food was excellent. The portions were incredible and nothing was left on our plates. The coffee was really good as well, which is important early in the morning. Definitely stop by and try this place out.

The pancakes and the concept was really good, but unfortunately when we arrived it took 30 minutes to get our order, and one group member had to leave hungry due to time constraints. The owner was gracious enough to offer a 20% discount but just for beverages, so the overall experience was definitely not worth it. Maybe it's better to just order takeout.

Incredibly yummy pancakes. They also have some creative combinations that are definitely worth a try! I had the vanilla cherry pancakes and they were 10/10. They have huge portions though, so I would definitely recommend sharing a plate, we couldn't finish ours.

Our family's 1st time at Pancake am Tor and we were very impressed. Expectations were high for American style pancakes and Pancake am Tor exceeded them. The pancakes and eggs were absolutely delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. The owner, Lajla was very friendly and even offered options to accommodate a dietary need. We will definitely return!

Pancakes are okay. It's unfortunate that they bring the coffee first and the pancakes later. You cannot eat pancakes while drinking warm coffee. Perhaps ordering a second cup of coffee is a type of house rule. However, everything in the room—tables, chairs, etc.—looks utterly abandoned. I visited three times and tried to pay with a card each time, but every time the "terminal doesn't work", so I naturally never got a receipt.

The decor of this cozy restaurant (with a few outside tables as well) consists of iconic American images like musicians (Elvis), actors (James Dean, Marilyn Monroe) and Route 66 signs. But the main feature is the excellent food. Every possible variation of pancake with authentic maple syrup, fruits and/or ham are offered. But don't forget the eggs! Over easy or omelets are excellent. Owner Layla and her employees offer fast service. Pancakes and eggs are prepared in cast iron skillets so there is an extra health benefit.

If you want to eat a large pancake breakfast, you should visit this. In the morning, it was super crowded and I ended up to sit with a stranger because there wasn't a free table. And later, when he left, I invited 2 girls to come and sit with me because I saw them waiting outside for around 20 minutes. I don't mind sharing but want to point it out for you guys :) After 12pm is the best time to visit because it's much less and there will be a lot of free tables. I order a Fruit Plate (with syrup) and it was so delicious. Their service did a very good job and I was very happy. I would visit it again when I'm in Munich.

I visited this place early in January 2023. I was out of home for 3 weeks and wanted to try some pancakes. I saw this place with good reviews and decided to go for it. We ended up visiting 2 times. Local ambience restaurant and seems to be, from what I saw, operated by the owners. So it has a homey and cozy vibe. All the staff members in the restaurant are really nice and warm, making you feel welcome. If the restaurant is packed, I suggest you to be patient. Dishes can take a while. I had an experience where one of my dishes went to another table. My wife is “special” with situations like that mostly after the COVID pandemic. So, when they switched that dish to our plate, we showed our discomfort. They didn’t hesitate and prepare a new dish for us. I took some extra time but it shows that they are accountable and try to give a great service. All the items we ordered for food with it was pancakes and an omelette were perfectly cooked. The pancakes are worth trying. They are delicious even when without adding any of the sweet ingredients. The omelette was served like a tortilla, which was different, but still tasted great! As far as drinks, we had a latte. Better than Starbucks for sure! Tip is not included but recommended. They encourage to pay cash but they accept credit card as well. Prices are fair. I would say $10 - $20 EUR per person. As I mentioned in the first paragraph, after the first visit, we ended up having a second visit because we liked it a lot.

Delicious American style pancakes in a cozy location close to Sendlinger Tor. It’s generally difficult to find good American style pancakes in Germany, but these were absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing as well. They however only accept cash so make sure you have cash on you.

Delicious homemade American style pancakes. Tried the salty pancakes with eggs and bacon strips, which I have to say was extraordinary! And also the Blueberry pancakes was great. Loved the place, definitely recommend.

I love their pancakes, and their milkshake is good too, but a little pricey. I only gave 4 stars because I wish there would be more personnel to help in the kitchen to make serving food faster. Nevertheless, it's a great place to satisfy pancake cravings!
