Paradise for those who love independent/experimental stuff. Highly original, creative, and interactive, sometimes mind-blowing interpretations of a wide range of plays, novels, and what not. Quite a few perfomances in English. A lot of plays with English subtitles. Interesting blend of amateur actors and pros.

In this theater I was able to watch a very strong, multi-layered and well-realized performance - "Xа̀ta - Dom". The presentation succeeds in presenting the war in Ukraine in an objective way, collecting interviews in two parts - of Ukrainians and of Russians living in Germany. All this supplemented with a Ukrainian choir and Russian dancers

Great eye-catching venue, consisting of 2 buildings (older art nouveau and sleek glass one), so a nice mix of tradition and modernity. Contemporary and experimental performances in German, with English subtitles. Came to see WoW–Word on Wirecard (Twarkowski,Herbut), and was deeply impressed by the multi-layered blend between film and stage, stories and realities, lights, play and overall ambience. Bravo! Some tap water and candies in the foyer for free. One minus: chairs are not too comfortable, especially noticeable by your back when play is around 3 hours.

Don't want to go out on a limb too much here. But probably one of the best plays I've ever seen was here. Really cool. Seats were a bit uncomfortable but can't take away stars for that.

Nice venues, nice people.

With its old-European, turn-of-the-century decor and atmosphere, the Kammerspiele feels almost immersive. Many of the plays offer English subtitles and many of the guests are foreigners as well. Total recommendation!

Bad needed to fetch my digital ticket from my phone. There was no mobile phone network inside. The guest WiFi didn't work either. The tech folks must work much much harder to improve the Internet technology there. Set up some more WiFi access points in the open areas.

Great performing arts theater with three different stages. Kammer 1 (stage #1) is the largest, more common one, Kammer 2 (stage #2) usually is for more modern plays and Kammer 3 (stage #3) is where students from the theater school are playing. There is always something to watch and enjoy. This time we saw Ben Hecht, an audio drama production of the Baierischer Rundfunk - performed as play reading with live music about the Bavarian revolution of 1918 from the view of the American writer and journalist Ben Hecht who was sent to Germany to report about the German post WW 1 revolution for the Daily News - absolutely great :-)
