In a word "AMAZING" Everything was great. The service from Selemon, the ambience, the delicious Afghan food, and the portion size. The best meal we had during our 1 week stay in Munich. Highly recommended and we will return next time we're in Munich.

Super yummy and very friendly. I lived the multicourse menu. As an omnivore maybe can explain: the meat versions have more depth to the taste, but since everything is quite well seasoned and sometimes spicy, the meals that are the same just without the meat are exactly as tasty. Must try!

Really good meal. Everything was perfect. I recommend the Katschalu Tschalau if you like veal or anything else and with the Spinach. It’s also pet friendly. 5 stars for good. I endorse to have it in your stop in your trip to Munich.

Excellent food and service. What is ate there , i never tasted anywhere else in my life . The charcoal grilled lamb was my favorite and the rice that goes with it was so fragrant. It’s worth the try

Incredible taste! The eggplant on the side was delicious. We finished the night with pudding, which also tasted really good. I will definitely be back again to try other flavors. The toilet could be more cleaner as there are many used papers on the floor.

Absolutely amazing food. The soup for starter was fantastic, spicy chickpea and lentils. Main course was marked as sweet and spicy lamb, wasn't spicy but especially tasty. I loved the ramazotti spritz. Overall a lovely atmosphere, small and cozy place so book or there's no way you will find a table. Highly recommended!!

The ambience was good. To be honest, there was nothing in the service that stood out. Just the usual. Food is good. But unfortunately the chicken I ordered was not cooked. Had to return it, and was replaced without issues. They offered free desserts for the table, ofcourse which they forgot later :)

Unbelievably flavorful food! Possibly one of the tastiest dinners we've had in Munich. Loved the starter "Borani Kadoo" and the bread that came along with it. The baklava also stood out as it didn't have the typical artificial sugary taste that common baklavas have. Make sure you reserve in advance!

I was recommended this place by a few people and it definitely did not disappoint. The food is exceptional with great flavour. They also don't shy away from the spiciness of the dishes. When they say the food is spicy/hot, it's exactly that! So many places warn of this, then one can hardly feel any heat so this was a welcome change. Make sure to make a reservation beforehand though, as it's a really popular restaurant and you will wait in a line if you get there during the peak dinner session. Will definitely return for more delicious food!

Cool, comfortable place with absolutely delicious food. Keep coming back for more each time I’m in Munich. Love their spicy soup with herbs and minced meat, as well as the stews with pomegranate.

Such an exceptional food, it’s hard to describe. The portions are generous, the flavor is so aromatic, rich and interesting. Nice atmosphere and surrounding, great service. Such a gem! Will definitely come back!

Horrible service. First time I wanted to try it I made a booking and got email confirmation that the table is reserved but somehow they “didn’t have it in the system” and we didn’t get the table which ruined the Valentines date night plans. I decided to give it one more go today. I called many times within the advised timeframe (as per their website!) and no one ever picked up. We were instructed later on site that now it’s only possible to book via email but of course the website doesn’t mention that. We waited more than 35 mins for someone to collect our orders. We asked 2 separate waiters to help us and collect our orders and they literally refused, said the colleague was coming and no one ever came. Finally we gave up and left without trying any of the food or drinks. It was the last time I gave this place a chance. With the prices and the attitude, I really don’t get the hype.

A wonderful evening spent here! We are a group of 7 people so we could have the special menu for big groups. The food was amazingly delicious! We got three kinds of sauces and two kinds of bread for appetizers and for main dishes we had 6 dishes and 3 side dishes. The ambience is very nice and the waiters are friendly.

It's good price and nice outdoor with groups, however it's a one-trick pony. Every main dish is basically the same flavour palet. Some of the soups and goat cheese salad is real delicious though.

Food quality, quantity, value and cleanliness are 10/10, well done, very tasty, if you like spicy you will like it, if you don’t like spicy, you will like it too ^^ it is in between. Stuff are great, they speak perfect english and german. Super friendly and were keen to hear a feedback.

Just like my favourite composer, the food at Chopin completely blew my mind. I have a discerning palate for Indian/Middle Eastern food. But this one completely surprised me and in the most amazing way. Had the chicken with lentils and rhubarb with rice. My goodness - they didn’t need to wash the plate after cos I polished everything served on it! Highly recommended if you are in the area. Don’t miss. Fantastic restaurant. We tried a few different vegetarian options and they were all delicious. A bit spicy though. The Aubergine starter was excellent with tomato sauce and sour cream(yogurt?). Augustiner vom Faß I always consider a plus too. Try the pistachio baklava as dessert, it has two pieces so it is good to share. The place is small-ish, make sure to book in advance.

Very goof traditional restaurant. Food is fantastic however the menu is so estense that it is confusing, several dishes look alike on paper. We asked the waiter for recommendations and it was a great idea. Prices are great for the quality you are getting. Very recommended.

As always amazing food and service. Only problem being space. Cramped and no leg room to relax and have a meal. But the food is so good that we go back each time. Plus they are pet friendly so extra brownie points for Chopan!

I came here sceptical, we ordered our food and waited longer than usual, but at the end the food was so good and delicious 😋 that everything else did not matter. I cannot recommend enough this place. The staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Will definitely visit again.

Super experience! We had a wonderful evening at Chopan. Our waiter took such great care of us. We are not familiar with afghan cuisine so he guided us when ordering. Everything was delicious: the starters (the aubergine sauce is amazing), the mains (super lamb grilled meat)! We'll be back :)

A good place to eat while visiting Munich. The food was delicious, the food more than enough and the place was cozy. The waitress was very kind and explained to us different aspects of the dish. For tourist, pay attention to the fact that this place only accept cash as payment.

The food was great but the service was very slow. On a Wednesday evening at 6pm, It took them 30 minutes to ask us for our drinks plus 30 minutes to serve the food. Total, 1 hour before we could have dinner.

The food was amazing and the staffs were kind and humorous 😊 When I have bad-quality food in a restaurant, I usually have strong stomachache. However, after Hänchen skaras, my digestion was perfect. I guess they have high quality of ingredients. It is the best Afghan food restaurant in Munich

Very nice afganise cuisine restaurant with polite service. Food is delicious and well seasoned. Full of exotic flavors. Price-quality ratio is good. Reservation is a must.

I can't speak to the food, but the service is ghastly. I called four times to reserve a table and it just rang and rang. Finally reserved by email, received confirmation for 18h. Let them know hours advance that we'd be there at 18:30. They never answered and when we got there they wouldn't give us a table: "You're too late, too bad". Not cool.

This place is serving incredible food, probably the best Afghani I had anywhere. The service is hip and down to earth, and owners very friendly people. Always enjoy coming back
