Love this striking yellow building. I was much impressed by the white marble work all over inside the building with very detailed work. It has a history. It was start building from 1630. It’s Italian style construction. I have a pent a lot of time to look around and enjoy it. Wish I could enjoy the view of Munich from its tall towers.

Quite possibly the most beautiful cathedral I have ever been to. The exterior is a kind of a dirty yellow but once you step inside it is just the most gorgeous cathedral I have ever been inside of. Everything is white marble with immaculate, insanely detailed sculptures and reliefs everywhere. The prayer alter is a site to behold! Everything is so stunningly created!

Well worth a visit! Inside you'll find a white & gold forest of Rococo (late Baroque) plaster decorations. Outside, you can admire a (somewhat debatable) mustard façade - although I must say it does shine in a particular golden fashion when photographed from afar!

Massive yellow coloured church right by the Feldherrnhalle, it was built in the 1600s. It has two large towers standing tall above the church; and a massive open ceiling from the inside.

Love this striking yellow building. I was much impressed by the white marble work all over inside the building with very detailed work. There is a funny story that it was built for a kings son and they have a statue of the child, although the child looks more like penny wise the clown.

One of the must-visit places in Munich, the church is holy, magnificent and artistic. The palace is like less than 10 min walk away from here.

A catholic church in old town Munich, close to Hofgarten and next to Odeonsplatz. The decorations inside was surprising. I was shocked by the handwork on the walls and ceilings. I would suggest visiting this church.

With its yellow facade and ornate interior, the Theatinerkirche (Theatine Church) at Odeonsplatz is one of the most beautiful churches in Munich. In 1663, the Italian Agostino Barelli began building the court and monastery church of St. Kajetan in the Baroque style. It was consecrated in 1675 while still in its shell state. It was not until over 100 years later that Cuvilliés the Younger completed the facade in 1768 in the Rococo style.

Beautiful and peaceful. It has a distinctive yellow exterior the interior is white marble I assume amazingly carved. From outside it seems its not open for visitors as the doors look closed you need to just pull or push I don't recall. I didn't know this, in my first visit I only took pictures from outside. Architecture is amazing as you can see below.

It's not the most beautiful church in Munich, but it's definitely worth seeing, also because it's located in one of the most important squares in the city. Very beautiful both externally and internally

Beautiful appearance of the facade, but it seems to me that a very unfortunate choice of color. It is very striking and does not look next to other buildings on this street. Especially when you go inside and the color changes to a completely different one, not even close to the outside color. This sharp contrast is a bad choice for the exterior of the building. However, this does not decrease the architectural value and beauty of the church.

Absolutely gorgeous. The white-painted interior is striking and creates a much lighter atmosphere than the usual older church.

We were passing through Odeonplatz and I noticed the church across the road. The yellow building stood out from the other grey buildings in the area. We didn't have time to go in and have a look so can't comment on the interior. The two towers on the front also looked like they had clocks. Quite an interesting building to look at if you're in the area.

A beautiful Catholic Church, built in the 17th centrury. The yellow color was a real eye catcher, especially when the sun lit it up 🐻📸😊👌

a very huge and impressive church in Odeonplatz built around mid 1600's with beautiful architecture and paintings with a tomb inside for first king of bavaria and his wife. the ceiling and the walls are really a piece of art. You would really enjoy the mass around 12.00 p.m if you are catholic. the building from outside is gothic style with two bell doms.

It’s a distinctive catholic Church with yellow façade and twin towers. The interior is beautifully decorated with white and gold. The columns and the dome are artistically sculptured and painted, especially the dorm is very impressive. It reminded me of St. Peter’s church in Rome.
