Hands down the best boulder gym I’ve been to - it was well-spaced, huge, inclusive, and offered a good range of routes, including an outdoor area. There’s a cafe and snack bar with decent coffee that’s fairly-priced, with plenty of areas to rest and hang around. I wasn’t expecting it, but the staff at the reception was so kind to print our member cards and bring it to us at the waiting area.

Spacious, lots of different boulder problems, all levels. 1 floor is fully dedicated to kids (lower highs) and the main gym on top is very very largemñ. Good warming up area and the best is the section outside. That one is not too big but enough to spend a good hour working on problems with an incredible view. There's also a very comfortable and super big changing area, clean bathrooms and very nice staff. And of course, plenty fresh drinks options. Fully recomend it :-)

The best Bouldering facility I have ever visited. Easily the best. boulder world has multiple levels, an endless amount of walls to climb, useful training facilities, a cafe, dedicated kids area and my personal favourite the outdoor area on the top level where there are many seats to chill out, Wish we had a place like this in Australia!

Great variety of routes, friendly staff, good prices (there‘s Happy Hour before 4pm weekdays) and even an in house Corona test center if you need it 10/10 place to climb

Best place to hang out after work. The whole body feels worked out, the routes are changed regularly. Everyone motivates each other and the staff is very helpful as well as friendly. One up for the Boulder cafe and Monday happy hours! Kudos!

Great variety of boulders and climbing styles. The outdoor area is very beautiful on a nice day. The cafe and lounge area is really nice as well. Would be great to use if "working from home" and working out What also stands out here is how welcoming the staff is. I look forward to returning next time I'm in Munich.

I visited the Boulder World in Munich with two friends, and it was a great experience! Whether you're an avid climber or trying it for the first time, Boulder World provides a great social and physical activity. A must-visit for an active and enjoyable time with friends in Munich.

Passing through town and got to visit. Great gym with lots of routes. Gym seems very popular and requires lots of brushing due to use. Loved the windows and roof section. Would go back again. Rental shoes weren't the best and they do not rent chalk fyi.

Friendly staff, reasonable entrance fee, clean environment. But I am concerned with safety. Some routes have no retreat option (no other-colored holds nearby) even though they are beginner's level. The safety mat is also not sufficient to prevent injury, considering some routes require a dynamic move at the very top. Every other time I visit, I'd see someone sent away in an ambulance. While it is the climbers' responsibility to know their limits, an indoor bouldering venue should provide a (relatively) safe environment for climbers to explore their limits. Otherwise why do it indoors?

Absolutely terrible in the summer. No proper air cooling, ventilation doesn’t work, windows opened are not helpful. Humidity inside is 70%! And temperature is 24 degrees! At 22:10 in the evening! No proper/enjoyable/productive climbing or training could be done under such conditions. Waste of money.

This has got to be hands down the best bouldering hall I've ever visited. The main floor is giant, windows from floor to ceiling with views of the city, and the boulders are top quality. I found old school and modern routes there but mostly modern. Definitely worth the 400 km trip, will come back.

still awesome after a month of (almost) boulderless vacation Another update: there's some crack trainers now! Wonderful location for bouldering, lots of problems and many fun dynamic ones as well. Very Cool rooftop boulder with a nice view at sunset. In terms of oddities the slackline machine is nice to train balance with, but it is shorter than the one in the west. Worked myself out all the way till cramping in all but one limbs :-)

Really nice place, 1st time coming here but the atmosphere is just right and there is enough space for you to try out and push yourself. People there also have the right atitude which helps you on your first time bouldering.

This is probably the best and biggest bouldering gym I've ever been to, it spans 2.5 floors and has tons of walls. The levels are clear and easy to follow it has a lot of really interesting routes and holds as well as cool wall shapes along with a wall that's shaped like the earth, a wall that's completely hanging from the ceiling, and an outside terrace with a wall. The staff are incrediblely nice, the lockers are spacious and have built in free locks. The bathrooms and showers are clean and work well. There is literally nothing I could improve. 10/10

What can I say?! Amazing place, so many training options, interesting route setting. Nice people and vibe too. p.s: The vegan pizza was ridiculously good!

BEST.BOULDER.GYM.EVER! I’ve been to boulder gyms around Europe and Asia and this is the best I’ve been to so far! It has two floors of boulders and an outdoor area (it was too cold so I didn’t try that). The first floor has lower walls which I love. The problems are interesting and explore different styles from normal to slabs to overhangs. I spent most of my time here and another hour on the second floor. The second floor has much higher walls in amazing styles — competition walls, slabs, creative labs (really interesting problems) and also a gym area for weights / stretching. I could only spend three hours here and wished I had more time. Highly recommend!!!

Really cool place with alot of good challenges, be warned gets very busy during peak times! Friendly atmosphere with good experienced coaches. Very reasonably priced canteen too!

Great for kids and beginners. Accompanying adult can just supervise kids and no ticket needed. No fuss access. Clear and simple, clean also. English speaking staff. Coffee place for a snack and refreshments.

Boulder World has an impressive selection of climbing walls. While the outdoor wall is an easy favorite, my personal was the free hanging rock that allowed for some really cool routes. If you love to climb and are just visiting (or live here) the trip is well worth your time.

The place is well organized and full of challenging bouldering routes for every level. The routes also change very often which in my opinion is a very important parameter to how good a bouldering hall is. Staff are friendly and facilities are neat and clean.

Great bouldering gym! Lots of problems for all difficultues with a wide variety of styles, the routes are also changed regularly. And the outdoor part is legendary. Clean, eveything well kept. Super friendly staff too. Not cheap, but definitely worth the price!

Amazing boulder gym. Multiple floors, a cafe with sandwiches, salads and paninis, an outdoor rooftop bouldering area(!) And friendly staff. The locker rooms are clean and equipped with showers and of course lockers. Many different types of bouldering walls and routes. Had a really great time here during my short stay in Munich.

Great place. Two climbing floors filled with great routes + boulders on the rooftop! You can also eat and drink beer - brilliant! :)

Fav bouldering place in Munich!! Lots of boulders for all levels and very nice outdoor roof-top area. The boulders are updated quite often, so you always find something new to do. The staff is always friendly :) Tip for newbies. I would recommend going on the weekend rather than after-work. It is less crowded, so u can get a better feeling of the place :)

It’s huge and offers a lot of climbing options for every level, the highlight is the small outdoor part on the rooftop! The employees are really friendly and it was clean. In the evenings until 8/9 it’s really crowded but I think that’s the case everywhere.

  • 4/5 Dalton M. 9 months ago on Google
Clean and fun boulders. The outside feature is neat. They don’t have rental chalk and it was quite busy when I went. I had a hard time getting meaningful time on the wall because there was so many people.

This is very happening place for kids. I celebrated my kid birthday there. They gave you a consent form and for 6 kids including birthday boy / girl the cost inmates 139 euro for 2 hours bouldering. And then they also provide tables to cut cakes. You do not have to worry about shoes. You will get one for trial

The best bouldering gym in Munich. They have two levels of climbing area inside and an additional section outside. The outside section is built on top of the building and provides beautiful views! New boulder problems are created at least once a week, so even if you climb 5 times a week, you always will find something new.

One of the best gyms in Europe with easy reference to levels and indoor/outdoor area to climb. Bumped into some issue at the girls lockeroom but staff helped me solve it immediately. Really friendly staff and just awesome routes to climb.

  • 2/5 Jessica L. 9 months ago on Google
Way too crowded! Not a good vibe from the people there, also from the crew but it's understandable but the ridiculous amount of people they let in in the gym. The place and rooftop are nice as well the toilet/changing room

  • 5/5 Dominik P. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to boulder and have a good time. The two floors provide a great selection of routes and the outdoor boulder on the rooftop is quite unique. In addition the small bistro surfs tasty food and a cold beer. Highly recommended!

I'm sorry that I cannot write the good things as what I have written for "Süd". First of all, there wasn't toilet paper at all in the women's toilet and when I was leaving this time there was toilet paper but not hand paper :D The only same thing in the dressing room when I've compared it to " Süd" was the hairdryer. Besides that there was only one small (almost empty) deodorant. The only good thing is they have micellar water to clean your face which doesn't have at "Süd". They've 2 relatively narrow floors while at Süd only one wide area. The cafe is nice, the beer is cheaper than outside. The pizzas are okay but don't expect mozzarella inside of them (that's what my Italian friend told me :D). They may forget your order so be aware to take the alarm clock.

It’s a huge and densely set gym- you’ll take weeks to clear everything inside. Routesetting is very good and has great educational value and creativity. Facilities are top as well: showers, lockers, toilets, cafe are all ample and clean. Top tier gym overall, in my opinion.

  • 5/5 Tereza V. 1 year ago on Google
Really big gym, often changing problems and announcing the changes a week before, outside area is great too even in the night. I love that the changing rooms and bathrooms are clean and nice. Also cool to have shop and restaurant + closing at 11pm is super convenient.

I recommend to try this bouldering gym at least once if you are in Munich. The staff is well prepared and ready to fulfill your needs. The environment, including the cafeteria, is really quiet and enjoyable, which allows you to meet new people. The only downsides are the presence of a small changing room which has been due to environmental issues and the lack of paper at the bathroom that goes quickly out of stock.

  • 4/5 Hilary H. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful large facility, very upscale. Nice holds, routes and climbing experience overall. The cafeteria was also impressive.

  • 5/5 Rishi B. 1 year ago on Google
Really good climbing gym spread across two floors. Quick to sign up as a new joiner, very good changing room facilities, lots of interesting and varied walls as well as workout space. Spent a couple of hours here and it was very worth the cost - about 17 euros for entry plus shoes. They had no chalk to buy unfortunately. Also a cafe at the front.

I have been going to Boulderwelt since 2019. It's an amazing bouldering gym. It truly has routes for all skill levels, so you can be challenged and grow your technique but still get a proper sense of accomplishment. I can't explain how important that is. At other gyms I have found routes are either way to easy or way too hard andthose of us with some skill are left either being unchallenged or defeated. This is not the case at Boulderwelt, and that's why it's my favorite gym.

Nice and modern lobby with cool caffè/food area, huge building with many different climbing options. A bit... smelly.
