Very nice Lake, easy to reach from Munich by Train, beautiful views, good Hotels and Restaurants👍😀

One of the most beautiful lakes in Bavaria and indeed a great place to take a boat/cruise ride, ride or drive around it, swim in to and of course to enjoy the spectacle of the Alps visible on the southern end... The lake is surrounded by 8-9 beautiful villages.. Starnberg being the biggest and most popular of them... where the lake also gets its name from. There are many parks and bathing grounds around the entire lake too...some private some public.. though in the summers there's a problem of mosquitoes around the areas that are too green.

The lake and the surrounding area are absolutely gorgeous, particularly in autumn. But it's also nicer on a summer day when you can actually see on the other side of the lake. The woods around are perfect for a stroll, and close to the harbour, there are many places to grab food, coffee or snacks. Very lovely if you happen to be in the area, but probably you should not go out of your way to see this place if you have other plans.

Very peaceful. The lake was very calm, and there is a cafe morth of the lake if you're hungry.

Great place to go during the summer months. The beach is great for swimming and cooling off. This is a rock “beach” Not sand. Really tough to get in and out of the water comfortably without them. There is a small town part to get ice cream, snacks and food. Definitely gets crowded when it’s hot.

Suitable place for summer holidays ! The connection between Munich Central Railway station and Starnberg helps people easilyand speedily to reach here.

My visit to Lake Starnberg in the evening was a magical experience. I hopped on the RE from Munich, and in under 20 minutes, I was there, right before sunset. The lake's vastness and depth left me in awe, and it's my go-to place for a relaxing run. The tranquility of the evenings by the lake is something I look forward to escaping the city's chaos.

It was very dirty and full of stones. I can not think how people thought that it was a good idea to swim there. The whole day went kind of in pain trying to get into lake and it was also awful and disgusting swimming with duck feathers everywhere. Definitely not recommended Also there were some "beach clubs" that you couldn't use to get into water, so you won't get any service from anywhere, you just have to find a place between a lot of random people to get into a dirty water.

beautifull lake with awesome landscapes and roads to drive around. Very bad: not much opportunities to park your car. All few ones are expensive.

A nice lake to visit throughout the summer from Munich. There are also a number of dining options. It's also a good walking or jogging path.

Especially summer is best place to visit Starnberg lake view is best and local stores offer you boating option and have fun with love ones or friends and best part around is local food with view of see 😍 including gift shop where you can get souvenirs to remember best moment of it. All together this place is worth visiting.
