We were travelling with a big group of more than 50 people. This review is a collection of our shared experiences and criticism. I will start out with something positive about the hotel. It really has a great location with easy access to the subway. You can reach the city easily and comfortably. Now to the bad things we experienced. In a few rooms we had trouble with the air conditioning not working at all. This resulted in an unbearable heat in the room and made it very uncomfortable to stay and sleep there. Opening the windows didn't really help a lot. Sleeping was hard anyways as the matresses were very hard and the pillows really small and thin. Also the blankets were very thick and way too warm for this season. If you have a bunk bed the railing stopping you from falling down is not attached in a solid way. It feels loose tho it was pretty solidly attached, so no risk of falling down there. The showers have a really bad insulation to prevent water from flooding the room. The room above us did not realize this issue and flooded their room resulting in water dripping from our ceiling(see pic 1). When we realized there was water coming from our ceiling we called the staff wich was pretty hard as the phones are really quiet and its hard to understand anything because of that. It also took them quite a while to send someone to look at the problem and then the staff member just looked at it, called someone and left. We got some new towels and no further instructions as to what we should do, if we'd get a new room and so on. We had to go down to the reception to get those informations and we had to point out the power distribution of the room was right where the water was running down the ceiling. Only after that we got a new room even tho earlier the staff told us they had no other rooms that were empty. When we got into our new room we saw there was mold behind the bathroom door (see pic 2). And that wasn't a small mount. They had to have known it was there and chose to ignore it and rent out the room nevertheless. So we went back down to the reception and wanted a different room. We got one and in that one there was also mold on the same spot behind the bathroom door (see pic 3). Same problem here. They have to know there is mold in that room yet choose to expose their guests to such a big risk for their health. We also noticed a very high humidity in the rooms. This is because there is no ventilation in the whole room other than one small fan wich only pulls air out of the bathroom. This is definetly not enough, hence the mold buildup in the bathrooms. After that we got a fourth room wich only had a little bit of mold in the showers (see pic 4). With it being close to 12pm we just accepted it and stayed in that room. Another thing we had trouble with was the room service. In the room we got after our water leak and moldy rooms there was a used handkerchief behind one of the mattresses (see pic 5, we removed the mattress for easier seeing). Clearly the room service does not do a good job of cleaning. Also most of the rooms had dust in various places. Outside of our room was a vent wich had dust build up all over it (see pic 6). Other issues with the room service were that in one room the keycard wich is used to activate the power in the room was just missing one day. We did get a new one without great trouble tho. In another room however the pin of one of the suitcases, wich was used in quite a few vacations without trouble previously, was changed. We were able to guess the code after some time but that is just unacceptable. Now to the food situation. We could observe the kitchen staff unpack frozen pizzas. This indicates the food is not cooked fresh and rather just warmed up. Overall not a pleasant experience.

We arrived at 11pm and it was difficult to find a parking space even in the underground car park, which has an extra charge of €20. Breakfast tasty, rooms clean and well equipped, comfortable mattresses. The bar and kitchen were open late. They have burgers and pizzas.

I recently stayed at H2 Hotel Olympiapark Munich, and I must say, I was not satisfied with my experience. While the location of the hotel, right in front of the metro station, was convenient, there were several aspects of my stay that left a lot to be desired. Firstly, I was disappointed to find that the room lacked essential amenities like an iron box, kettle, creams, and cupboards. These are basic amenities that most hotels offer, and it was frustrating to not have them available. The working desk in my room was uncomfortable and not ergonomic, making it difficult for me to work for long periods. Additionally, there were no plug points near the bed, which was inconvenient. The restaurant at the hotel was nice, but the fact that payment could only be made through cash was a significant inconvenience for me. As an international traveler, I had to go through the hassle of exchanging currency, which was frustrating and time-consuming. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was not up to par. I found several areas of the room to be dirty, and there was a musty smell in the air that was unpleasant. Overall, my experience at H2 Hotel Olympiapark Munich was not satisfactory. The lack of amenities in the room, uncomfortable working space, inconvenient payment options, and poor room cleanliness made for a disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Munich.

The hotel has nice compact rooms, good facilities, excellent breakfast, and seems all very good and efficient, however there were a few problems with our stay, which may be the exception rather than the rule. First the quick check in machines didn't work (for anybody), so why the staff let us try using them for 15 minutes before we headed to the main desk I don't know. Person after person did this, just put an "out of order" note on all 3 machines if they are not working. Second, the room was not made up, at all. Previous occupants duvets on the beds, rubbish in the bins, towels on the floor. Went to reception and they said "was I sure? the room was marked as made up". They then said they were fully booked and had no other room, so I would have to wait, but then ten minutes later gave us another room. Third, we found hairballs and other things on the floor which indicated the room had not been cleaned very properly. This could well be a blip, and if the cleanliness was good I would have given it 5 stars no problem, despite the earlier error, after all we all make mistakes. However given the cleaning issue in two rooms in different parts of the hotel, I give 3 stars for now. I would stay again however.

Very nice Hotel, great value and great location. Uban station is literally in front of the hotel. It can be a bit crowded in restaurants during breakfast time, but it is worth the wait. Breakfast is really great, enough choices. Everything was clean and the staff were very kind. You also have great parking there, an underground garage, but be ready to pay 20€ per day.

This hotel is fantastic! You get what you pay for and more. Nice, very clean rooms, heated bathroom floor and split bathroom were nice touches. The breakfast had a wide variety of different things, plenty of seating and multiple coffee machines. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Front desk staff was helpful

I stayed in this place and loved it! The room was soundproof, super clean and modern. The bed was very comfy. Even though the street can be noisy, everything is fine if the window is closed (since there is an air condition, closing a window wasn't an issue). Breakfast was great, there was basically everything for everyone's preferences ane needs. Metro stop in front of the hotel, and a walking distance to the Olympia park are a huge advantage as well.

Arrived on a Saturday evening, restaurant was about to close and wouldn’t seat us and we were shocked to find that a hotel of this size and star rating doesn’t provide room service. Reception not overly helpful on providing guidance or advice on where we could find a meal close by. Shower pipe work leaked and toilet seat broken. Very limited tea & coffee options in the room. After a long journey we expected so much more. Felt very short changed and will not be staying at this hotel chain again.

I stayed here two nights in July. It’s a great hotel in a great location. It had a nice bar, with a patio on the outside where I spent some time people watching. The rooms were clean, spacious and modern. The shower pressure was excellent. The WIFI worked well. The breakfast was perfect with lots of different options. The service was also excellent. The cons: the mattress is hard, the TP is ROUGH and the pillows were too soft for me. The AC is European so non existent. Overall though, and enjoyable stay was had by all in my group.

Bad experience, we checked into our hotel and the sink wasn't draining, and there wasn't any soap in our shower at all. We specifically asked for no breakfast in the morning and they still charged my entire family and REFUSED to give us our money back. The whole charge ended up to be 60+ Euros. Also the hotel is advertised as having A/C THEY DON'T HAVE A/C. The hotel has a "air recycling system" that actually doesn't cool the room down. Overall we had a very poor experience and we don't plan on coming back.

It is so "industrial" and being a guest you can clearly feel that you are being processed. Hotel was so so busy, so many guests (including myself). Called reception twice from my room, nobody answered, guess they were all busy. Breakfast, food was done to basics but it was so crowded. Yes, the subway is right in front of the hotel so going into old town is easy, bit still, it is far from "best location"

The lady at the checkout counter discriminates against customers. When it was my turn, she let a man who stands in the other lane came before me. It is really totally not accepted. Just because the other man wears suit and looks like a business customer who has a suitecase? !!! I can not imagine such behaviors from a hotel in Munich, this breaks my vacation in munich totally. At least I will never consider H2 Hotel anymore.

H2 Hotel München Olympiapark offers a great location, just 30 meters away from a metro station, making it extremely convenient for exploring the central area of Munich. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to sports fields right across the road is a fantastic advantage for sports enthusiasts or anyone seeking outdoor activities. The breakfast spread at the hotel is commendable, with a wide variety of options to suit different tastes, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. The rooms are clean and provide a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a good night's rest. However, one significant drawback was the malfunctioning AC in our room. Despite notifying the staff, it took them an unacceptable 4 and a half hours to send someone to fix it, which affected the overall experience negatively. In terms of service, there were some letdowns. The receptionists' limited English skill made communication difficult, impacting the guest experience. On the bright side, when we visited the top floor, the cleaner kindly allowed us to enter an empty room briefly to enjoy the stunning view, which was a thoughtful gesture. While H2 Hotel München Olympiapark had its positives, the issues with the AC and the subpar service do leave room for improvement. With a bit more attention to guest needs and better communication skills, the hotel could easily elevate its overall quality and guest satisfaction.

The hotel is relatively new, with a modern design. Probably targeted at the younger trendy generation. Beautiful view of the O2 tower and the Olympic park. The subway station is right next to the hotel, making it easy to travel around the city. The AC is pretty bad, you can set at whatever temperature your want but the room temperature will be around 24-25c, the comforter is practically useless (at least for the room we got). The little stool for the desk is almost useless as well. You can't really do serious work in the room using the stool. It will get squished in a random direction. ** As a reminder there is no refrigerator in the room, so don't buy food or drinks which need refrigeration. Cool drinks can be purchased from a vending machine on ground floor, at a bit of a premium price. A bottle of water is 4.00 Euro. The subway right to the main station is about 15-18min. On the way back may take a bit longer if you are coming back late at night.

Room was too small Beds not comfortable No security in this hotel at all I had bad experience I forgot one of my bags when I called them after they check out with a few hours they said we didn’t found any things then when I went back to Hotel after I force them to look at it because I was 100% sure it’s in the room They made me wait for 45 minutes and then they got the bag with lots of items were missing when I asked him about it they said it is housekeeping problem. It is not our problem so the hotel are not responsible about the guest at all. I lost my things which cost big amount. The manager was not happy to help or support. I don’t recommend it to anyone U can find a better place where u feel it safely and have a good customer care.

Nice hotel! Very nice choice of breakfast items that made my day start easier 😍. One of my problems was that they did not leave towels in our rooms and we had to ask the front desk. There is some room for improvement like a pool for when it gets hot, and an excise room would be lovely. Overall 4.333/5

A real nightmare!!!! They gave us the worst room with a broken locker.... we went out to have dinner and our dogs were locked inside without any possibility of opening that bloody door!! It’s really serious stuff... imagine if that was a fire!!!!! It’s irresponsible to still give such a room since you knew the problem in advance!!!! Shame on you! Real shame on you!! My dog is cardiac, she takes heavy medication !!! If anything happens to her I’ll sue you!!! Right now my furbabies are still locked in, and no one is able to give us a delay to open that bloody door!!!!! Right now it’s midnight and after a tiring driving day we still can’t have a sleep!!!!!!!! SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!!!

The hotel is located perfectly near the metro station, that is conected to the city centre, as well as one station away from BMW museum and Olympia shopping center. Rooms are large but without mini bar and closet. Service could be better, especially at reception desk. The check in was taking so long...

Very nice hotel. We could choose if we wanted a room on the lower floor or higher. We got the top floor (20th floor) and the view was very nice. Everything was very clean and the room was beautiful. I loved the pasta at diner and the breakfast was ok. Much choice at breakfast. 🥰

Location is not inside the Old Town but it's just right above U-Bahn station, 9 stops to MarienPlatz (about 20 mins metro ride), 1 stop from BMW museum. A big shopping mall is 1 stop away. Staff are curt but polite. They have concierge service to leave your bags. Rooms are modern, shower pressure is good. Beds are comfy. However there's no kettle inside the room. You can go down to the canteen to get hot water/coffee/tea. Breakfast is included with good spread.

Very nice place and the perfect location if you want to mix visits to the city and to outside locations. Very clean and functional room. Nice and confy bed and linen. The shower could be better, if the shower head wasn't always falling. The breakfast is good with enough selection. It can be very busy at times. The coffee is very good. The scrambled eggs are not that good - they seem more like a pudding than eggs. The restaurant / bar has limited offering. It used to be better. Large selection of beverage, including nice beer. They were only accepting cash payment. In a hotel? That's crazy! When we selected to add the bill to the room, then they produced a machine and we payed with card.

Second visit to this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The rooms are modern with very comfortable beds. Breakfast is plentiful with enough choice for all tastes. Bar is well stocked.

Right beside an underground station. Spotlessly clean. Don't provide kettles in the rooms but when we mentioned this at the desk they found one for us and sent it up to our room. Very flat pillows but you can get more on request. Even at that I personally found them uncomfortable. Breakfasts were great. They provide dinners too but as a celiac the choice was very limited....g/f.pasta so we had to eat out. Staff at the desk were brilliant and made great effort to help you. I would return

The rooms are adorable with some well executed features. However, the AC is completely ineffective (my room was very warm with very stagnant air) and the water was ice cold (which wasn’t fun for showering). Breakfast was busy but well staffed so I thought that was fine. I hope theses issues can be fixed.

Perfect location located right infront of ubahn Station. However the aircon in the room is horrible. Not working at all making the room hot and stuffy under the hot summer. Wokeup in the middle of the night perspiring, went down to reception request to have someone come to the room and check only to find out the entire hotel only have 1 staff working. He offered a room change but added on that even after room change it's still the same. On top of that, hotel does not have basic amenities like kettle which most hotel offer. Work desk comes with a cushiony ottoman makes sitting on it while working uncomfortable. Breakfast had limited hot items as well, no ice provided when drinks purchased. Disappointing stay.

Rooms are nice and modern, the view from the hotel is lovely, staff is communicative and friendly and there's a lot of parking in the parking garage... only negative thing I could say that breakfast should have more options to choose from but it's not bad...also, good value for money

The hotel is very nice and modern. Located 15 min away from the center and the beauty of it directly u have the access of the Metro station U3 line to Moosach direction. The rooms are wide and have 2 bathrooms one for shower and the other one is the toilet. Having a fantastic view and u can see Italy, Switzerland and Leichestein mountains. Olympic stadium view was amazing with greenery areas. The bfast buffet was satisfying and specially the scrambled eggs was superb. The reception were super helpful. The disadvantages : Rooms have no refrigerators (at least our room) If the restaurant down is closed then u have to survive if you needed anything like water or food. No room service available. Instead they will guide to the next building where there is a vending machine and if you are lucky u can find what you're looking for, unfortunately no shops nearby. For example we had a coca cola in our room so we drank it instead of water and my son slept without having water. (all you need to do is to get a transport and search for an open shop if u have a luck to find it) - No safety box (I had to carry or my precious belongings each time with me when I go out) To the management : -At least serve water even at late times. -Also I would suggest accessing to the rooms via elevator preferably to be accessed via card, coz anyone who enters the lobby can rise up to the rooms easily for security purposes We didn't face any issues but above to considered.I will definitely consider this chain on my next visit. Cheers 🍻

In front of the Olympic Park, there is a subway station at the door, which is convenient for transportation. The room is slightly small and the table is small. Hotel breakfast is good, but too many people.

  • 3/5 Serhii Y. 7 months ago on Google
In general, the hotel is good. It has a good location, close to the underground station. Decent value for the price you can get in Munich. The breakfast area is a bit small for the amount of rooms served by hotel staff, and as a result long queues outside the entrance to the breakfast area, but the quality of the food is good enough. The most unpleasant thing I was confronted with was the presence of a large number of Bed Bugs. First, I was given a room for 4 people with bed bugs in it. Every bed was infested with these Bugs. After negotiations with the staff and managers, we successfully changed the room. The new room was cleaner and Bedbug-free, which is very important. Therefore, please be careful and check the room before you spend the night.

Cold bare concrete floor and bunk beds even though we booked a regular room. No chairs with backs to sit in and no real work area anyway. Housekeeping doesn’t leave any toilet paper and front desk staff are useless (including managers). So many children running around during breakfast that it’s unpleasant. Never staying here again.

0 star experience!!! They don't provide even a bottle of water in the room, on top, they sell 0.5 pet still water for 4 euros (it is 80 cents everywhere !!!!). Completely unethical! In addition, iron doesn't work properly in the service room and no slippers... As a hotel with overnight price above the average, definitely don't recommend!!!

  • 4/5 Krzysiek O. 7 months ago on Google
Pretty big hotel, with several floors, nice clean rooms, but unfortunately small beds. For a tall guy, like myself, it was too short, too small. And these 'double decker' beds aren't unfortunately a good solution either. It's tough to climb up on the top bed and one must be careful while standing up from bed to avoid hitting with a head against the ceiling or the bed above. I spent just one night here, but found it uncomfortable. Breakfasts are served in an open restaurant, pretty much big variety of different stuff to pick from. I liked that. The service and cleanliness of rooms was very fine. Overall I'd say it's a good hotel.

We stayed here after a concert at Olympia Hall, the location was perfect for this since there’s an underground station literally outside of the hotel’s entrance! The room for 3 was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was modern. Only downside of the room were the pillows, they were as thin as a paper sheet and not comfy at all… They should definitely consider upgrading to thicker pillows or at least giving 2 of those thin ones per person The restaurant was open 24/7 and the food and prices were really good!! We really liked the hotel :)

Modern and new hotel opened in 2019. The location is superb for those looking to be near the Olympic Park. There is a metro station next to the hotel entrance. The problems which are the downsides are weird air conditioning that doesn't always work and wifi network that didn't work at all. Other than that very simple and generous breakfast. Good Value for price.

New hotel located in great spot, near metro and Olympic park. From upper floors you have stunning views. Rooms are clean and good looking. On the other hand they are quite small. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. Limited number of options, scrambled eggs were not really tasty.

Clean and big rooms. I stayed at the weekend and the breakfast was packed, also at 0700. The “restaurant” is good if you don’t have time to go somewhere and the food is ok. The location is a bit far from the old city but well connected with the U-Bahn.

Stayed here a year ago. Really good experience. This year completely opposite. Very poor check in experience. AC not working in room. Unable to get hotel staff to understand the problem in German or English. They explained to me that the weather is different each summer, which is why the room felt warm this year. Ultimately, felt like I was staying in a youth hostel for 10 times the price. Unless you can stay here for close to 50€ I'd go elsewhere. At least one of the three windows opened so we could cool the room down. Second star for last year's stay and proximity to the metro.

Entire stay of experience and quality was good. The check-in process was not friendly at all. The employee at Check-in counter was rude and was not understanding our problem. Very nice hotel. And a nice gesture to create a meal box for breakfast in case of very early checkout. Also they were very helpful to check us earlier than 3 as we requested. The only comment is that it would be nice to have requests for this breakfast box. We asked if we can ask for not having pork in the breakfast. This was not possible and the breakfast had pork at the end :(

Very Close to the subway train station which is the best thing about the hotel, if you are willing to use public transport. Room was clean but not even water bottles are provided in the room. Breakfast is not bad but all the same every day without any changes. We had a lunch and a dinner also but the food was not that good.

Great location very close to train station & park, clean & decent room. Friendly staff. BUT, we are staying here for almost 2 weeks and the room is too warm & the reception said they are not using air-conditioning but from what I understand an evaporative, it's 36 degC outside so it doesn't help. Thankful for the free brekky but always the same food every day. Not much food in the menu as well. TV should have apps so we can cast or watch netflix, YouTube, Disney, etc.

Ideal for me. From this hotel it is a lovely walk through the Olympic park to the BMW Welt and museum. Clean and modern. Popular with groups so breakfast can be busy. However nice and quiet for dinner - good pizza etc. Good underground car park. Nearby park great for young children, play area and equipment etc.

We booked H2 hotel because it’s placed very close to the Olympia stadium where I should participate the Munich Marathon. So far the stay has been good - Unfortunately the cleaning staff couldn’t understand German or/and English languages. We tried to tell them that toilet paper was missing - they just looked at me and said yes yes, but nothing happened. The room wasn’t cleaned very well the 6 days we stayed in Munich. The bin/trash wasn’t emptied even though it was completely full. This can for sure be done better. The staff in the reception was kind and helpful. Breakfast was fine and plenty of food, even that many guests were joining the breakfast buffet. Hopefully the cleaning process can be upgraded and we will join this hotel again

It’s nice place to stay but not good enough. For this amount of money, it’s possible to find better option…Satisfied (good view, good breakfast, service is ok, but questionable people were around at the lobby after 00:00) but some details are missing. For example, floor in the rooms is cold..

Can't ask for much more for a travel hotel. Here for business so it's perfect. Rooms are functional, not opulent, which is fine. You can opt out of room cleaning services at check in, they currently offer a 5 euro food coupon as a thank you. U-Bahn station right out front means easy access to trains for exploring. Restaurant is cash only, but open 24/7 and serves up good food.

Clean room and common areas, confortable bed and well equipped room. Window had some fingerprints, but otherwise everything was spotless clean. Good and stable breakfast but nothing special. Unfortunately there is no gym. Easy to get to by public transport, which is a plus.

The location is good for a one-night stay and a short trip to the city. It is very close to the subway. And the price is very reasonable. The bunk beds in the family room were quite uncomfortable, although I appreciate that kind of accommodation for travelling families. I missed some pastries for kids at breakfast

Such a great value and convenient Hotel. The service at check in was extremely helpful and friendly to us all as Americans. Brunch buffet was so fresh and always clean and well kept.

Good value for money hotel. The location is remote, but transportation is fairly easy. 24/7 reception and restaurant/bar. Breakfast was excellent, but slightly overcrowded.

The location is great and the hotel structure is good. Usually it gets super crowded and for breakfast is almost impossible to find a place to sit… and there are very limited options. I had also some cleaning issues with my room. Staff is not all times helpful/friendly.

The location of the hotel is just perfect! Underground station right in front of the door. The hotel is New but the equipment very Basic. Rooms lack wardrobes, the beds are far from comfortable, no carpets on the floor. The bedsheets were clean but the bedding inside dirty…. Shower doors havent been cleaned for days. No toiletries supplied. What i missed the most - none of the personnel smiled. Very impersonal, we are not coming back….

Lovely, clean hotel. Great location. I stayed here recently with a group of 45 students. We experienced several flight cancellations due to bad weather conditions. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Florian and his team did everything they could for us. If we had an issue, they resolved it promptly. I would also like to commend the service in the hotel restaurant. The head chef was so accommodating with dietary requirements, changes to orders, last minute dinner bookings...We really appreciated your patience and kindness at what was a stressful time. Thank you! Teachers from Dublin, Ireland
