Probably the best climbing gym in Munich! They have the pizzas again now after COVID

Great climbing gym: My son and I love it. Large halls with a myriad of toprope and lead climbing routes, some of them build and shaped like natural rock formations. Indoor and outdoor zones. Two boulder rooms offer also a great variety of challenges. Nice and friendly staff, good restaurant and café/bar with a rooftop patio in the summer. Good food and fair prices. Good infrastructure regarding locker rooms, showers, WCs, cabinets for your stuff. The only issues: Sometimes very crowded due to its popularity. Parking at these times also tricky.

Great place! We had an opportunity to visit it few times because they had free visits for Ukrainians. We really enjoyed it! A lot of different walls to climb! Really helps to relax mind and fortify body. I would recommend this kind of hobby!

A beautiful place to have fun with friends or by yourself. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially when you're a beginner. You can rent anything you need there even the chalk.

What a great gym. They allow you to do anything - even practicing rope-solo! And rapelling off one bolt - no problem in this gym!! I watched him for 30 mins, the staff came, watched, then said nothing … that means it’s allowed right??? Next time I’ll bring my axes and crampons in this nothing-is-forbidden playground!!

I mean it looks good, like a lot of DAV Rock Climbing Centers but I literally cant afford climbing at this Gym. Their Prices are through the roof. After being part of the DAV for so long in my life I could have never Imagined not being able to pay for the Membership anymore as their Prices surge.

Once of the worst gyms for bouldering I’ve been to. Small, smelly, and no music. Seems excellent for lead climbing but not much else.

Nice indoor bouldering and outdoor climbing. The boulder isn't very high, but is challenging. Pizza and panini was also nice ...

Really big gym but also structurally overcrowded. This has been the case ever since I went here, even when there was reduced capacity due to covid. Only if you leave before 5 on a weekday is it pretty manageable. Routes are overall great, gym is a bit older. It's cool that there's an outside area. I think the entry for DAV München members is still pretty expensive. If I was a member of a different section or no member at all, it would not be worth going.

Feedback on bouldering only, too long ago that I went for rope here so cannot judge anymore. It I went for boulders again today. Perhaps I chose a bad time it was really disappointing... Yes, it's not a new shiny bouldering gym, and I know it since years. It was disappointing to my previous visits. The old upper room seems to have the oldest holds they could find, and has seen no love for ages. It was better in the old times where it just was full of random holds. But now just some uninspired boulders. The ones I tried felt Morpho or like they miss something already and we're set years ago. No fun there anymore. Probably only training boards and 45deg wall usable Lower room felt empty of boulders as well. Too little variation, some areas only have one boulder at the wall. I know you can do better, and hope it will change again

Great bouldering and climbing place. It's big, not too crowded, there is an outside area and also a small bar. The routes are updated often enough.

Cool route setting and always interesting problems at different grades. Obviously gets busy after work. But at other times is really relaxed. Boulder hall not huge (compared to some bigger bouldering gyms ) but they reset once a month. So keeps it fresh. Friendly staff too.

Four great climbing areas: children paradise, indoor bouldering, indoor climbing, and outdoor section. There is also a bar next to the check-in counter. This is the first site where I saw such a beautiful children section. The children paradise is some 25sqm very tall room containing a ship and a castle with numerous spots to hide. Both are build as climbing labyrinth suitable for kids 2-9 and they will enjoy it for hours. WARNING: this place is cash only. They claim to accept this funny German concept of EC card, but without cash you cannot use the services. There are only a few top-rope routes, and no devices for automated top-rope belaying, so bring a rope and a partner with you if you plan to do more than just bouldering. If you did not signed up with a Munich DAV before, you will need to waste a whole page of paper for your small signature (no electronic signature or signing a mass form allowed). You will also receive a plastic card you will need to carry with you when visiting again, or the process of wasting a paper needs to start from scratch. The place was crowded on a rainy Sunday, but it was definitely worth it.

All the place is great to climb and boulder, but the area for small children is really bad: it's dirty and smells bad. The area for children in the Kletternhalle in North is much better.

Nice gym with very tall walls and a large outdoor area. Atmosphere is also very nice, take a break after climbing for a beer and pizza in the restaurant

Claimed to be the largest rope climbing gym in the world. Great variety of routes: from UIAA grade 4 for kids to about 9 or 10 on extreme overhangs. There area inside and outside walls of different types: regular plywood and plastic, stone-like structure, outside concrete blocks to use with one's own quickdraws. The height of the walls is up to 18 meters. Besides high climbing walls there are: * bouldering surfaces (for bouldering, I would normally choose one of the three Boulder Welt gyms or Einstein though); * "Kinderwelt" where kids can play on their own; * training room for learning correct clipping and belaying techniques; * outside area with a playground and a slackline; * cafe with food and drinks.

Nothing spectacular in this place. I think it s kind of overrated actually. Also the service is quite bad. The only good thing here was the pastei de nada...warm and delicious.

Amazing climbing gym! They have so many walls indoor and outdoor and some are very high which is amazing. Beautiful area for kids as well.
