The whole experience and process was great. Being able to customize and preview the ring through their website (without hiring any service yet) was key to select 77diamonds among other companies. Personally, the only thing that I missed on their website was to preview the final size of the selected diamond on the ring. Because it does generate a preview image, which changes when you select a different shape diamond (round, square, oval) or a different ring, but proportion-wise the main diamond on the picture is always the same. I think it's a default 1 carat size. Anyway, I took the specified measures of the different diamonds I was interested on and played around with them on pencil and paper until I got the overall setting proportion I was looking for. So nothing wrong with that, but it would be a super plus having the option to preview the final setting size They also explain the different diamond properties on their website (colour, carat, cut and clarity), which is great. Though the decisive point comes when you ask for an appointment to go to one of their showrooms and see the actual effect of each diamond property in real life. There you can evaluate what really matters to you (what is actually noticeable) and where to focus your hard-working savings. Thanks a lot to Laura Chellini, who managed our case, taught us about the different properties during the visit and made the whole process very smooth. Specially grateful because she could explain us everything in English, which is not very common here in Munich. The final ring came out even more beautiful (and glitter) than expected. And my fiancée loves it, which is all I wanted. I really wish I will never need to buy another engagement ring, you know, but I would definitely repeat with 77diamonds for ordering any special diamond jewel.

An astounding experience. I had spent some time looking for a good, high quality yet budget friendly diamonds store in Munich to get an engagement ring, and that’s where I came across 77 Diamonds. I read some reviews which (as little as they relatively were), were encouraging & highly speaking of Laura’s assistance. During my visit Laura was exactly everything that previous reviews had mentioned and even more. She’s an extremely talented person & very good at what she’s doing. She also speaks flawless English, which was a point I was a bit worried about, as my German is below par. Firstly she explained the world of diamonds to me, including the 4 C’s and the rest of relevant diamond characteristics. I had thought I went prepared with my studies, but she made sure to fill in the gaps for some additional characteristics that I didn’t even pay attention to. After that she was very helpful with assisting in choosing a ring that matches the vision that we had in mind, carefully explaining all different aesthetics that help make the ring shine even more, which diamond sizes go well with what ring shapes, what diamond to place on the ring, what diamond characteristics to compromise on and what not to give away, etc. Additionally, I had placed my order a bit late for the ring to come in time to fit my schedule. For that she suggested to borrow one of 77 Diamonds’ proposal rings as to not mess up my plans until my ordered ring arrives. She showed me the available collection and ensured to present proposal rings as similar as possible to my ordered ring. I was truly amazed at the level of professionalism carefully fused with customer care & will to help that she showed me. As a result, I had an amazing proposal and engagement party thanks to her. Later on, I received the ordered ring which was astonishing, even better than what I had imagined. I loved it and so did my fiancée. Very nice selection of rings but terrible customer service. Due to delays caused on their end we’ve had to postpone our engagement-related appointments. What they offered us as compensation was an additional 1 month for our return period which does not solve anything. What was supposed to be one of the most memorable and happiest moments of our lives just turned out to be a big headache, back-in-forth emailing, sales reps that meet with you and then disappear for days on end and a load of delays. I wish we had gone for some other company that was more customer centric.

The service at the showroom included much more than just buying a ring. Laura's patience and lead helped me chose what I'm sure to be the perfect ring. Even one year after getting engagend, I often find myself admiring the beauty of the ring. The elegant styles that 77 offers and the possibility to pair it with a diamond of your choice make it the best shop for those looking for something truly unique. One little thing that 77 could change, is stating clearer on their website that you need to schedule an appointment prior to visiting the showroom. The shop is more an office inside a larger building, than a classic boutique which is why they cannot even let you enter without an appointment. However, this did not change my overall very positive impression of a professional place with great choices. We would do it over and over again and in fact came back to Laura at 77 to get our wedding bands as well!
