The worst Pho bo in my life. Absolutely inedible, the broth is tasteless, the meat doesn't taste like meat but like a mass, it's far from cow meat, both taste-wise and visually. The colour is more like pork. Never again. Waste of money. I am so disapointed.😭

We ordered takeaway from the Mittagsmenü where you can choose your entree (vegetarian spring rolls, soup or a small salad) and main dish. For our main dishes we ordered Bún with grilled pork and Bún with beef in betel leaf. The food was delicious and very fresh but the Bún with grilled pork was so oily that there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the bowl and therefore we couldn’t finish the whole dish. As part of the Mittagsmenü we also received a free mango cream for dessert which was very nice. There also is a lot of packaging waste when ordering takeaway but of course that can be avoided by eating in.

Tan Nam is a Vietnamese restaurant on Balanstr. The ambience is warm with plenty on wall paintings. They have a great mittags menu option, where you can choose between a Soup/ Salad/ Spring roll and a Main course for €9.5. We chose the L7B (Pho with Chicken) and L6D (Rice Noodles with Chicken). For starters, we ordered the Spring roll. The service was quick, the food was tasty (not the most authentic I've had in Munich, but definitely good) and the ingredients were fresh. The staff were friendly. In the end, they also offered us a Fortune cookie (that's a nice touch!) Will definitely drop in for dinner soon!

Tl;dr: cozy, charming, delicious healthy food for very fair prices. Will come back! I knew the place already from delivery but had never been there. Very charming deco, cozy place! Menu is diverse but not overwhelming. Started with some tôm chiên which was very crispy and came with some nice sauce. Followed it up with some tôm nướng. Healthy and delicious! Asked for some spicy sauce and it was just perfect! Service is efficient and attentive, portions are generous without being excessive, and prices are very fair for what you get.

Good food arrived quick very nice

Delicious food and the portion was just the perfect size (we finished everything but we were full afterwards). I had crispy duck with coconut curry with veggies and my boyfriend had beef stir fry. The service was quick and friendly and they have nice decorations on the tables (real flower and candle), all this for reasonable price - one thing was odd, there was no music . All in all, great place, go and try it.

As an Asian, i feel the pho is so-so only. I havent eat enough around the city for the general standard. Atmosphere of restaurant is good. Service is good.

We got two soups and they were very good. We got a discount because they were takeout, and the friendly man who helped us threw in a couple of delicious mango desserts on the house as well. Thanks for a great meal!

Good food, great ambience and very nice and friendly people! All the paintings inside are hand painted and they have articles kept in the restaurant which are passed on from generations!

I've been in this restaurant twice and so far always satisfied with the food and their service. The last time we ordered bun bo hue and a dish with salmon. Both were really good, not overly spiced with msg like a lot of asian restaurants in Munich. The waiters are so polite, attentive and helpful. Warm ambience, cozy seats and in summer they have some tables outside. The place is also nicely located near the bus stop and only 8 minutes walk from Ostbahnhof. They also over lunch menu during the week.

This was the first time my husband and I tried Vietnamese food. I explained that to the very friendly waiter and he suggested getting appetizers offer for 2 and based on our choice duck with the curry and duck with peanuts. So good! I highly recommend this restaurant; especially the appetizer and duck with peanuts sauce.

One of my absolute favorite asian restaurants in Munich. Coming from Asia, I often find myself disappointed at the food served in many asian restaurants as they are either inauthentic or way too expensive. At Tan Nam, the price is a bit higher, but it’s worth the great quality and amazing taste. Even when you order something basic like curry, you can really taste it’s well made, not just some basic re-heated meat with frozen veggies. The small details do make a difference.

Great food with lots of different dishes to chose from. It was not too busy when we were there, great service. We sat inside, cozy atmosphere! Also, they were open on a Sunday when many other places were closed. To finish off, a fortune cookie always creates conversation!!

I recently ordered some Vietnamese dishes on Uber, and I must say, the experience was delightful. The food was not only delicious but also authentically Vietnamese. I savored a plate of banh xeo, a crispy and flavorful pancake filled with various meats and veggies, and a bowl of bun thit nuong, a refreshing dry noodle dish with grilled meat. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide an English version of the menu, as it would make ordering even more accessible for non-Vietnamese-speaking customers. Overall, a fantastic culinary journey!

The quality of food is pretty good. When you order duck meal, it is most of the time dry. However it was not the case this time. We really enjoyed both the main dish and the appetizer.

A pretty good Vietnamese restaurant that serves a quite extensive menu. The food is however on the pricier side but the portions given make up for the price. The restaurant was fairly spacious with a good atmosphere. I would recommend any of their soup noodles (pho/bun bo hue/etc) or any of their noodles dishes.

The best Vietnamese restaurant in Munich! Food is amazing, big portions and super tasty. Service is fantastic, they are very kind and paying attention on all details. Highly recommended for families. I have also been there with professional/business visitors from Asia and they were really satisfied. Five of five in all senses.
