We visited with great anticipation based on the reviews. When we arrived we weren't greeted by wisps of smoke outside or the distinctive smell of true smoked meats when we came inside. I will admit to being a tough judge of bbq but while the flavors were overall good the bulk of the dishes shared a common theme of being dry/over. We had lunch at the bar and the way the bar is set up there are 2 sides of the bar. Both bartenders spent most of the time on the opposite corner on their phones or visiting with each other. Based on the reviews we will try again, but some work to do to be more than just avg.

We are traveling through Mukwonago and we had a phenomenal experience at David Alan Alan’s! Alexa was our server and she was fantastic at her craft. All of the staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere, as well as the food, was delightful. If we are ever in the area we will return, and if you haven’t been here before I suggest giving it a try!

Stopped in for early dinner, very busy which is expected for good food spot. I had the nachos, burnt end sandwich, smoked meat salad. Food was great! We will be back!

Nestled in a small strip mall, this restaurant features outdoor seating, indoor seating as well as seating around a wrap around bar. The service we received was from the bar staff and was great. The bartenders were attentive and seemed to always be keeping themselves busy when they weren't serving patrons. The floors were clean, bathroom was clean and stocked well, and there were plenty of tv's in the bar so as not to miss the Badger game. We ordered the half order of nachos with brisket, which were very tasty. They could have used a little extra sour cream but that's a personal choice. We also ordered the Mac & Cheese Ball Burger which in my opinion was very good except honestly, the actual deep fried ball could have been left out and would have been just fine with the actual Mac n cheese they top it with. It would have stayed together better and the actual Mac n cheese they have is wonderful. The last item we ordered was the rib sandwich. It was wonderful and juicy and paired really well with the gouda cheese. I can't wait to return and try the Southern Philly and the Smokehouse Cuban! Oh and next time I'll be ordering a side of Mac n cheese... so yummy!

Really enjoyed the brisket and chicken and all the great sauces. Want to come back and try the corned beef! Our server was delightful.

Amazing food (mostly). Nashville hot chicken sandwich was the best I have ever had - tender chicken, great crust and good sauce. Fried okra was also the best I have ever had. We also had their tacos and ramen, both of which were not traditional but very good. Brisket was great, my only disappointment was with the smoked drummies, they had an excellent smoke flavor but were dry as cardboard. I know they can improve on those, I have been able to get a similar smoke on my chicken while keeping it moist, I'm not saying it's easy, but I'm sure they can figure it out. Great beer selection!

Reasonable prices. The macaroni is made with six or seven cheeses. It's the best macaroni I've ever tasted. All the meat we ordered, beef, pork, it was all amazing. The large selection of different types of barbeque sauces on the table was great too. If we're in the area again we'll definitely be back!

Came for lunch, wife's grilled mac & cheese sandwich was good but my brisket wasn't. Meat looked roasted and didn't have that required pink smoke ring so it was dry and tasteless. Lots of sauces on the table but my sweet & spicy was neither in my opinion. Service was so-so, slow with plenty of excuses but I also understand good help is hard to find. Overall was disappointed, won't be back. Sorry.

Good food and service. Love the multiple BBQ sauces on the table. A lot of fun testing them all to find your favorite. The smoked old fashions are worth a try!

We got seated right away, even though it was very busy. The wait staff was extremely friendly! The entire atmosphere was welcoming & fun! The music brought us back to our younger years. The food was amazing! We found this place by accident & will definitely be back!

Bbq is one of my favorite things so my expectations are always a little higher for these types of place & I probably grade them a little harsher Ribs were pretty good, I’d say a little above average. Corn bread was pretty good, Pulled pork sandwich was not good at all & Fried pickles were interesting—different than most places, but I’d lean on that not being favorable here. I did enjoy the sweet tea as well. The bbq sauce flavors….. Altho interesting, they were all disappointing to me. None of them were great & I like all different types and have eaten bbq all over the US. This place is pretty expensive too, that doesn’t exactly draw desire to return often. Atmosphere seems to be more attractive for people who want to drink & sit out on the patio. The restaurant part is actually smaller than expected, but decent.

Quick seating and quality service for 7 o’clock on a Saturday night. Ordered the loaded pig which was offered a generous serving size and definitely recommend to future customers. The sauces were all very “meh” and not one really stood out to me over the others. The 4 meat platter was more than enough for 2. The meats were well cooked however lacked flavor and felt they were meant to be paired with the sauces which as I said were pretty mediocre. The one thing that made the trip worth it would have to be their smoked old fashioned and I would recommend.

Cuban Roll appetizer was so good! 🤤 Ordered the Burnt End Sandwich to share & they evenly split it for us, how awesome is that?! Great service from Tony, the manhattan was proper.

Just amazing! I live in KY but I'll take this over any BBQ in ky! Food is perfect! Service is awesome! Shout out too Brock, Jordan and Brooklyn (the kid). Just amazing! Must eat, cold beer and amazing prices!!!!

The waiter was super helpful as I couldn't decide what to get since I have never been here till now. The food came out at a good pace and the same for drinks (hands down some of the best mixed drinks I have had in a while). The price wasn't to steap as well I think it was fairly priced for what you get! Will be back here soon for sure!

First time here, had Daa Tacos. Brisket with Mac and cheese on top in a soft wrap. Was very good 👍 My spouse has the smoked meatloaf with Parmesan mashed potatoes. She really enjoyed it. Several different BBQ sauces to try on the table. Large drink and food menu. Daily specials, happy hour. Will have to come back just to try something else.
