During
my
recent
visit,
the
restaurant
asked
customers
to
add
a
5-star
Google
review
for
a
10%
discount
while
placing
orders.
This
resulted
in
a
10-minute
wait
as
the
person
ahead
of
me
struggled
to
add
a
review.
When
it
was
my
turn,
I
mentioned
having
already
given
a
5-star
rating,
showing
them
the
review.
However,
instead
of
the
promised
discount,
they
asked
me
to
follow
them
on
Facebook.
I
declined,
and
despite
the
inconvenience,
I
didn't
receive
any
discount.
This
marketing
strategy
felt
cheap
and
resulted
in
queues,
wasting
time
for
others.
Consequently,
I
downgraded
my
initial
5-star
rating
to
2
stars
due
to
this
disappointing
experience.
While
it's
acceptable
for
businesses
to
request
Google
reviews,
the
problem
arises
when
they
request
reviews
before
customers
actually
experience
their
service.
Genuine
feedback
should
stem
from
actual
experiences
rather
than
being
influenced
by
premature
requests.
"Delicious
crepes—both
sweet
and
savory
options.
Service
takes
a
bit
longer,
but
the
taste
is
worth
it.
Free
street-side
parking
is
available."
