This is one of beautiful derasar you can visit when you are in Mumbai. To travel in Mumbai it is easy to get taxi or bus. If you are using bus then best advice I would give is to buy a ticket of 50 bucks (not sure may be less) but then you can use this ticket everywhere. No need of buying new tickets even if you change routes or buses. You can use this ticket whole day for the bus journey which saves lil money. This dersar is in walkeshwar and you can get down at Rekha sedan bus stop which is just opposite to the derasar. You can have a beautiful view of chowpaty from the first floor of the temple.

It's a temple older than 100 years. Besides Rushabhdev Bhagwan and other Tirthankar Bhagwant, there is Simandhar Swami's too (the current living tirthankar bhagwan of Mahavideh). Another main attraction in my view - Padmavati Mataji because her idol in this temple is extremely lively. It's so Lively that one would feel as if Mataji would just speak with you..now...

It is one of the oldest Jain temples. It is on the main road so you may not get parking. It is over 100 years old. It is a huge temple with hundreds of idols of Tirthankar bhagwans and Padmavati Devi. As you enter, you leave your footwear at the shoe rack and enter the temple. Chandla and kesar facility is on the right and water facility is near the gate. It is a very beautiful temple, very carefully carved and painted. Each wall has a story to tell. There is even a donation box to donate to the different activities of temple including Jeevdaya(animal care)There is even an upstairs area.

The most divine place, especially for all the Jains. Lord Adeshwarji, the first Tirthankara amongst 24, also known as Adinathji or Rishabhdevji, with grand entrance and pillars made of marble stone, carved intricacies, makes it super rich in terms of architecture. Also, not to forget Mata Padmavati temple within the premises on the first floor. SHE IS CONSIDERED TO BE A MAGICAL IDOL fulfilling wishes of the devotees to Lord Parshwanath ji

There is no place like a holy jain temple to experience absolute bliss, and the calm Babu Amichand Temple is certainly one of them.

One of the oldest and having all the detailed carving techniques of Jains. It has upashray as well as it is a 2 storeys Jain mandir. If visiting Mumbai as a Jain u should visit this mandir. This mandir has facilities for drinking water, sitting and resting and lastly it also has Devi devta mandir so it is reconnected to visit.

So, I would say that this is worth a visit if you have plenty of time or are interested in the Jain religion. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit and the main part of the temple is a no-go for non-jains. There are so many interesting things to do in South Mumbai, unless you have time, I'd probably pass.

The Jain temple is a great visit. The architecture is amazing and it is a great place to spend some quiet time. The wall paintings and stories they tell were fascinating for kids in the group.

One of the oldest Jain derasar (Tample) at walkeshwar. Very nicely managed and lots of people has faith in padmavati mata there. Parking is major issue for visitors.
