I was really excited for the very first visit to this symbol of exemplary dining and this was really worth!!, Starting from our server MUNNA, he was really kind hearted and taking his foot forward in suggesting us some lip smacking food, We tried the barbeque platter, chicken tikka biryani, malai kulfi and Shahi tukda. Everything was delicious and the ambience was also mind-blowing!!! Clean washroom was one of the plus point! Ambience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Variety ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Value for money ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taste ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had lunch at this restaurant .. restaurant is old with beautiful ambience .. crowded with bit of waiting . Tried paneer chilli , hara bhara kebab , roomli roti and paneer pasanda . Food was delicious would say must eat place for North Indian non veg food . Few problem I found was : Less options in veg starters . They doing accept upi also the guy got the card machine which was not supporting tap and said it does support tab 😕

Delhi Darbar of Colaba is one place we had been longing to visit. They have a good seating area and just about the perfect ambience. The interior and decor is also absolutely splendid. Here's what we had there: Crystal Chicken The crisp lettuce acts as a wrapper for the moist chicken, very similar to crispy chicken in taste. BBQ Platter A platter which gives you some splendid starters in the form of different tikkas such as Malai and Reshmi, seekh kebabs both chicken and mutton. Some really mouthwatering stuff. MAIN COURSE Chicken Bhuna Boneless chicken pieces smeared in fresh fragrance of ginger, garlic and bhuna masala. Quite edible and tasty. Butter Chicken The ever favorite butter chicken, quite rich and mixed spicy. It tastes even better with the assorted breads. Reshmi Makhni Paratha Soft like rumali roti but flaky at the same time and with a pinch of butter all over. A delight to have with the gravies on offer. Cheese Butter Naan Butter beautifully charred and crisp on the outside of the naan yet soft, chewy with melting cheese inside. As a part of desserts we were served some refreshing Falooda and Caramel Custard. A fantastic end to a relishing meal.

Sunday dinner at 7. Garlic naan, mutton kheema, mutton kadai are a must try 😋👌🏽 delicious food, kheema quantity was sufficient enough for 4 adults. Mutton kadai quantity is less and is sufficient for 1 or 2 adults. Naan was soft, delicious and fresh. We asked for Mutton biriyani, but they didn’t have it for dinner 🫤 which was a bummer. The staff who served our table was friendly and welcoming and gave recommendations for food and also shared some tips (for ordering good food and to skip certain dishes here). #IndiaTrip #Mumbai

I am not satisfied with the food quality they have served in Main course look ok to mee. You can say the starter are delicious Dine in facilities are good, Ambience also look good. On weekend and holiday ther is a rush so keep consider waiting time in your plan. Personally suggest don't order Main course in Mutton.

On the to-go list for a long time. Had an chance to visit for the lunch to try one of the Mumbai’s best biryani here. They not only say it but they do mean it. Prepared to perfection biryani as well other non veg items. Starting from soup to desserts the won’t disappoint you at all. Gonna visit here again.

The restaurant is actually pretty good, the Food is good enough buy not the best in class by any means, loved the chicken Tikka biriyani though, other dishes are good, certainly better than normal restaurants in this class, but also not the best, location is near taj palace so it certainly can attract a large crowd, other notable thing is the ambience, not modern by any means but certainly has the charm a traditional Indian restaurant would have, it's more or less taken in the olden cultural style and looks pretty good, rates are a bit pricy but definitely not very expensive, a normal meal for a family won't cost u more than a 1000, overall, 4.3/5.

Tasty food with best service. I forgot to take the picture of mutton cutlets, which was by far the tastiest. A must-visit place. Definitely try their mutton nihari and firni.

Biryani lovers must visit. Soft tender cheesey heavenly taste & nice collection of all biryani. Presentation of dishes like ancient king style. Offcourse waiting is quite longer on weekends.

Delhi Darbar is nice restaurant to eat good and hygienic food. Taste of food is good. Service is also good and very quick. And good place for families and couples. It has two seating area, one on ground floor and second area on 1th floor. But the price of food is very expensive.

Went for the first time hearing many positive reviews about their Chicken Biriyani and Kebab's reviews. We're placed at the floor above with A/C. I found the ambience very dull and sulky due to poor choice of lighting. The seating too was a bit old fashioned. Coming to the food,we ordered Chi Manchow Soup which was good but they used Kheema chicken as their favour for Chicken style,Chunks would have been better. Overall taste was good. Tandoori full chicken ,it was very good and the quality was very nice. Proper masala and portion cuttings were done. Mutton seekh kebab,oh wow this dish was the only bestest part of today's dinner. It was totally tasty and so good. Mutton minced and masala used were so proper and lipsmacking. Would definitely just come there to try the seekh kebab. Chicken Chilly was good too,but very spicy, which wasn't necessary or suggested by us. Masala papad was ok ok,it's serving was wrong. For main course Chicken Patiala with Butter roti and Butter Naans were ordered. Both of them were very good. I was totally impressed with their Chicken Patiala. Ordered Mutton Biryani. It was just not good, not properly flavoured and the Biriyani rice was too dry and salty. Mutton pieces were okayish. Many potatoes were burnt which was a disappointing factor. Were billed 2912rs for group of 4. Okayish pricing, but quantity is a bit less in my honest opinion.

Visited after many years. Sunday afternoon waiting was 30 min. Had Mutton soup Chicken Tandoori Chiken Kebab Mutton Rogan Josh Mutton Nalli Nihari With Roomali Rotis. Till this everything was excellent and enjoyed evrything. Finally we ordered Mutton Biryani it was average taste and very Oily. Some years back we used to benchmark Delhi Darbar Biryani for comparison, sadly that taste had gone. Except for the Biryani everything was delicious and we enjoyed eating. Service is excellent.

Brilliantly made Biryani, love the half cut potatoes in the biryani. Mutton is fresh juicy and tender here, Surprisingly there was waiting time on a weekday ,that says how popular the place is. Many options to try for every palate.

I recently went to this place for dinner with friends. We ordered a chicken platter, but since they were out of khabsa rice, we got 2 servings of tikka biryani rice instead. Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing. The chicken tandoor from the platter tasted sour, the supposed green chutney lacked its green color, and the rice was so bland that six of us couldn't finish even one serving. Additionally, the service was extremely slow; it took 15 minutes to get a response, another 15 minutes to have things brought to our table (like our request for thumbs up), and we waited 15 minutes for a hot bowl to wash our hands

Well to go to a famous restaurant and to find seats instantly was a good sign for things to come.. the mutton seekh kabab was mouth freshening along with the chicken malai kabab.. we ordered chicken biryani, mutton biryani, naan, butter chicken(specially for kids on recommendation by the server AMD instruction for making it non spicy).. mutton biryani was wow!! melt in the mouth mutton pieces with gravy, chicken biryani was also ok but for me the chicken was a bit dry, naan and butter chicken were a hit among my kids.. portions of biryani-one enough for 2 persons so order wisely.. ended with firni which was again wow!! staff are friendly, they know items and can suggest something for you..overall a good experience in Mumbai

Amazing seating space and with beautiful dining. Great decor and interiors. Very kind and humble staff and thus good food ettiquettes. Quick fast service and food served fresh and hot. Awesome food that gives a good flavour and thus satisfies the tummy. Wonderfully cooked the mutton rohan gosh and thus the tasty biryani. The stand out drink for me was the electric lemonade. Commendable service. Thank you.

This place is close to my heart as I heard about it first from my father who use to visit them since he was in teens. So when I went to Delhi Darbar along with my friends in my teens I was so overwhelmed and mesmerised with the taste of the food served here. To name a few dishes like dabba gosht, kadai paneer, non veg platter, kabab playter, garlic naan, roghan josh, dal fry, prawns crystal, prawns butter pepper garlic, mutton mughlai, murgh nargis, grilled pomphret, Darbar special fried rice and doodhi halwa, firni and darbar falooda in desserts are my tried and tested dishes. If you try it and didn't like any of the above dishes I would do anything you ask me. Every morsel will take tantalise your taste buds and it's a heavenly feeling. I wish them good luck and ask them to keep up the good work and I thank my father who introduced me to such a restaurant. I visited their restaurant in Dubai as well. I just love delhi darbar and their food. Love you.

We had gone for Sunday lunch. We had ordered vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes . The chicken tandoori was looking pathetic … looked very dry and tasteless …u can see it in the picture . The food was overall average . Was not upto the mark . If you are a vegetarian, then u probably have to compromise on the taste and quality of the dish . I don’t think I would be recommending this place . Only dish I liked was the romali roti , which was awesomely soft and tasty .

A lot of buzz for this place.. Finally visited. Place was quiet for a Sunday afternoon. We ordered for Chicken Tikka, it was the best I ever had. It melted in mouth and was tasty n tender.. Then order Butter Chicken, let me tell it was the Worst, then informed the steward and he replaced it immediately. Got newly prepared but we knew the chef must had added masala as the taste was almost same - Tasteless. Then we order Jeera rice, it was very fresh and had aroma.. Overall felt okay.. Stewards are really helpful. It is Best for Starters and Biryani only..

The food was worth the money. The hype up that I got from various Mumbai based food reviewers were actually true. The taste were neat and clear to tongue. The waiting list is quite long and the servicing is okaish. Waiters are constantly hustling and we could see that. One of their waiter mistakenly gave us other dish but the manager handled it well by providing the replacement properly without adding any cost for their mistake. Food is worth the hype and I do recommend you guys to visit here. The atmosphere is fancy and beautiful. Loved it! Plus there is no class discrimination done and people belonging to all economic classes with any kind of attire are highly welcomed here.

A mixed review for one of the popular options near India gate. Positives: The food was tasty for the most of the time. The manager was friendly and kind. The location of this restaurant is very convenient and easily accessible from Colaba area after long day of shopping. Negatives: I think that Delhi biryani has aloo in it? So beware! We requested for removing aloo from biryani and server obliged but we found almost quarter size of biryani with aloo in it - twice!! The restaurant has only 1 restroom each for men and women but it was just too crowded for the place.

Food quality was very poor. I ordered jeera rice, but no taste in Rice. I also ordered mutter paneer. It was also tastless. Onion green with food was also very dirty. Overall a bad experience.

Ordered Chicken Malai Tikka. Didn't quite like the gravy. Again it's always preferable to not go for heavy meals (which includes naan, rice and main course). Have learned it with experience that it's always better to have starters and tandoori and other items like that. Ambience was good, had to stand in queue. One thing I liked the waiters were all very happy smiling and welcoming, would be better if they work a little on giving a better service too. Next time I'll try other stuff and will update my experience. Mutton seekh kebab was delicious.

I recently dined at Delhi Darbar and ordered tandoori chicken and masala papad for starters. The tandoori chicken was good, although it lacked a bit of masala and spiciness. The masala papad was well garnished but turned soggy rather quickly. For the main course, we ordered chicken tikka biryani, which was decent but not exceptional in taste. While the food was okay, the ambiance and surroundings were hygienic and well-maintained. However, the low AC temperature and strong AC flow caused the food to quickly become cold. Additionally, there was a waiting line to get a seat inside the restaurant. Overall, Delhi Darbar offers an acceptable dining experience, with room for improvement in certain areas.

I just visited Delhi Darbar near Gateway of India and had veg and chicken biryani, masala papad. Taste is just okay, overhyped. Portion size suitable for one person; costly. Service is average; tips requested even for card payments. Limited restaurant options in the area, considering the cost.Non-veg chicken biryani priced at Rs 400 and veg biryani at Rs 325, both not worth in terms of quantity and taste. Adds to the overall disappointment with the overhyped experience.

The service and vibe was nice but the food was not the best. Chicken Biryani was not mixed well and tandoory fish was just ok. The staff were nice and kind The food rate was: Chicken biryani 3.2 out of 5 Tandoory Fish 3 out of 5

This is the closest to the delicacy from North India. The food was really well cooked and served in just the right proportions. The place has a good decor and vibe, perfect for a family lunch or dinner and is right in the heart of the colaba market. The staff is also well mannered and ready to assist at all times. A must visit place!
