The food was very ordinary and not worth the sticker price. Service was not really helpful - came away with the impression that this place is meant for regulars and asking for recommendations of the staff is as good as ordering with neighbour Gondola's menu. Got here early and given the bland, insipid food and the blank stares from the staff, left early so didn't really get a chance to sample the legendary crowd and the communal singing of classics......experienced the 10% Service Charge though. Thank you for nothing! This is a below average Goan bar in a far-above-median-prices Pali Hill. Go here if you're stuffed with cash and simply like to throw it around for nothing in return. The cave-like ambience with Miranda copy frames is kinda cool though....Bandra's answer to Mondegar perhaps - mandi me bhi tezi ka ehsaas hehehe

Oh man what a place! Proper Goan vibes on this one. Having lived in Goa for couple of years and a frequent visitor, this had the typical Goan setup with food to match up as well. OK, alright, nothing can come close to authentic Goan cuisine but man did this place come close! It's been sometime since I saw surmai(King fish) size that big in Mumbai. Service, food place everything was as per the theme of the restaurant... I hear Monday and Friday are Karaoke nights and I'm Def. planning another trip on one of these days.

If you don't care for the razmatazz of the restaurant ans just need good soul satisfying Goan food in the heart of Mumbai , this would be the place. While I am no expert on Goan cuisine , I have tasted at a few places and this place surely reminds me of the small authentic Goan village restaurants. Was glad that I read about them opening in Goa and learnt about they having started in Bandra ( yes it's the other way around here 😀) ... The Calamari Green Chilly Garlic was good in starters but the Prawns Richada was awesome. We also had a paneer green chily garlic and we're not disappointed by the quality of the paneer ( yes, yes ...some of us are vegetarian 😀) The Prawns Balchao and the Goan Sausage Chilly Fry for main course was amazing too. While we didn't have the Mutton or Chicken Xacuti, my wife liked the mixed veg Xacuti so I presume you won't go wrong with the non veg version as well. The cocktails were also nice but a bit heavy on the ice than necessary I felt. The only thing stopping me from giving it a perfect 5 star was the portion or quantity of each serving. But definitely would visit here once again ! Oh and as usual for Bandra, don't think of finding parking anywhere close so better leave for gas guzzlers at home !

Love the ambience and the food! Karaoke nights are super fun! I have been coming here for over a decade with my family and friends and each time we have left with wonderful memories. Amazing Sea/Goan cuisine that indeed touches our soul ;) Cheers and THANK YOU SOUL FRY! :)

As a visiting tourist, I would’ve really loved to have tried this place! I’m a huge fan of India’s cuisines, and owned a restaurant myself for over 20 years. But as others have mentioned already, the staff is way too picky about seating people inside. There were at least four empty tables inside, but host claimed that these tables were reserved. Yeah, sorry, outside was hot, and I would have eaten quickly and left quickly too. I guess they didn’t want my money? Such a shame, I would have come back often if given *a chance*. Edit: If you're so busy with reservations you can't spare a table inside, then train your staff *to offer a reservation at a later time/date*. For example, "We would love to serve you inside when a table is available. I can take a booking right now. In the meantime, we would be happy to serve you outside if you don't want to wait for a booking inside."

Worst experience ever. Visited for the first time. Service staff was rude and slow. We asked for the manager 3 times, and he never came to table to talk to us. One of the staff asked me to go inside to talk to the manager. Service was slow. We arrived before the New Year crowd came in, yet got our food items really late. The outside area to sit stinks. The chilly paneer we ordered tasted bad. Left after the restaurant without even eating the starters fully. The table next to us also had a couple who walked out annoyed with the service. Will never visit again. Do not recommend.

Looking for some old-school bandruh Goan vibe?? This is THE place to be. One of the best places for a great Karaoke night!! The vibe is great, the food is very good too, the servers are attentive and service is super!! When you come here so often you bump into a lot of regulars, esp on Karaoke night. Overall I totally recommend you come here with friends.

A cool place to hang out with friends. Their seafood is delicious. Specially the prawns green chilli garlic and pomfret recheado fry was worth it. I really enjoyed the seafood here. The owners are very good and make sure that all the customers are served and treated well. The service is outstanding. The ambience is good and lively for young crowd who like to hang out with their friends. They do have karoke on weekdays.

My experience has always been amazing at soul fry. The food is just the way I like it. The vibe is exhilarating. Karaoke nights take you to a different zone all together. And the hosts, Meldon and Glynis are so warm and welcoming and make you feel at home. All in all, whenever I take someone there for the first time, they are always super impressed and come out happy and content😊

Service was exceptional. Food was not bad but could have been more authentic in taste, flavours and presentation. The garlic crab was almost tasteless but the reichado crab was good. The dishes came with some side of basil and lime which did not make sense.

Well I entered the restaurant looking for Goan taste but firstly was a little disappointed with the taste and secondly as per price quoted the quantity was very less. Since I went in the afternoon so was lucky it was empty and not noisy but t s a good place to hang out We ordered Chicken Cafreal , Squids Recheado masala fry , Bombil fry and potato fries and Surmai curry with rice. I enjoyed my XIT - Kodi and give it full 100 marks for that. Service was very good and fast. He was very friendly to speak that too in konkani.

The thali that we ordered, both vegetarian and non vegetarian was very good. The starters - prawn koliwada was excellent 👌🏼 and so was the crispy bombil. The mojito was good... but a little too sweet for my taste. The thali takes a while to get ready, all in all an wonderful lunch with my colleagues.

Monday night was packed. They had karaoke night. Locals singing nice songs. Food was delicious. They don't serve roti, but you get the pow bread with these meals. Green chicken curry was pretty good. Known for a prawn side dish, but I don't eat seafood like that. Friendly, family owned business. Most speak English😉.

Came to this place after ages and it was still as good as I remember it. Perfect for a night of karaoke with friends and some amazing sea food with drinks of your choice. Meldan and his staff were absolutely courteous and made sure we had a great time. So if you're in the mood for fantastic food with some nice music, do drop in to Soul Fry. You won't regret it!

Visited Soul Fry for the first time. It's a small, homely, friendly place that serves authentic goan fare. We had prawns in their rancheida masala (hope I got that right), the flavors we're simply awesome...then we went for the traditional chicken xacuti and steamed rice. The xacuti gravy was aromatic, thick and yummy with awesome flavors of coconut...Mondays are apparently Karaoke nights, definitely plan to visit again!!!

A nice place for a comfortable Goan dining experience. Great food, very helpful and jovial staff. The Bombay ducks were crispy and hot. The Goan fish curry was simply delicious. The fried fish was well done. The pickle accompaniment was simply yum. Overall an enjoyable evening

Just 4 stars considering that the staff were slow and inattentive. The Pomfret Rechaad was over fried in a little too much oil, the chicken in the Chicken Xacuti was diced too small.

Great goan ambience. must try the fried bombil that goes well with a beer and later had some Choris pulao that was just nice with mild spice. Enjoyed the Monday night Karaoke that starts from 2130 onwards.

An unassuming, authentic Goan style restaurant/bar tucked away in Bandra. The atmosphere felt like being at someone’s home with the lighting, decor and music which was great. The food (ordered fish fry and curry) was also very wholesome and tasty, however watch out for the taste of coconut oil incase you don’t like it or aren’t used to it. Overall a super homey and fun vibe at Soul Fry. Definitely the kind of place you could become a regular at!

It’s a nice place to hangout with your friends on weekends In Bandra, the place serves very good Goan veg and non-veg food, the continentals are also good here. The taste and the quality as well as the quantity of food is really well. The place also serves liquor, so it can be a full package to chill on the weekends.

Soul Fry is a Bandra institution. Mondays is Karaoke night, so don't come here on that night expecting to have a quiet dinner. Otherwise it's a perfect place to meet friends, eat a meal solo or even have a date. Do try the cocktails - the Cucumber Fizz was delicious! Staff are polite and helpful. The food is excellent!

Extremely unfriendly staff. We had reserved a table for Wednesday karaoke night well in advance and had given a few song requests upon reaching too. We were asked to leave as soon as our food was done though we ordered quite a lot. There were others in the restaurant that were just having drinks but not asked to leave. We were told that even if we order drinks we have to stand. It completely ruined our night. There were no people waiting but we were told to vacate the table for others. It felt as if they selectively wanted us to leave. There’s a 10% service charge too that they levy and refuse to remove. Veg options are extremely less and are not flavourful. It would be good if they taught their staff basic customer service and decided to not gatekeep their restaurant for a few regulars.
