Guys if your craving for juicy grilled tandoori chicken and mains then this place should be on your top to do lists. We visited this place called cottage grill located in the cozy streets of Dadar. It's located in just opposite lane of Portuguese church. The ambience is very dreamy in the Evening with hanging lanterns and rustic green vibes around. They have indoor seating too but I would highly recommend their outdoor ambience it's perfect for a date night. Coming to the food we tried their pahadi chicken tandoori lolipop and chicken tikka. The chicken is very fresh and juicy the marination used it just on point and they grill it with so much love that it tastes just heavenly Moving to mains we had to try dhaba style butter chicken and garlic naan. The gravy was very flavourful and has an authentic taste to it. Chicken tikka biryani is again a value of money item the quantity is quite huge and taste wise it's just Perfect ❤️ I highly recommend cottage grill to everyone it's a place worth visiting

Great little restaurant in the quieter back streets close to the beach. Very affordable and excellent food. The staff were really helpful with the menu and even went the extra mile to prepare things that weren’t there. Tasty food (the best chicken I had in India) and lovely little restaurant thats very pocket friendly indeed. It was a stand out place on my trip whilst travelling to many different places..

It's a bit late review. But I couldn't forget the taste hence writing it now. We had to get a train from Dadar and we ordered wraps and Veg biryani. The wraps layer was soft and properly cooked. And the size was larger than other restaurants. Biryani was too good as well. Will surely order again. 😁

A very good place to hangout with family and friends, prices are a bit high than usual restaurant in the vicinity. We tried the Butter Chicken which did cost us Rs 280 (suffice for 2 heavy eaters or 3 light eaters) that too while we dined outside in non AC area. Ambience, service quality and quantity is good. PS: This is in the lane exactly opposite the Salvation Church (Portuguese Church Dadar). Butter Chicken is a must try.

We place regular orders with our family’s favorite restaurant Cottage Grill. The packaging is good and delivery is in time. All time favorites of my family Soups Chicken Shorba soup it is traditional chicken soup made with coriander and chicken stock, topped with chopped chicken pieces my parents love it. Rolls Chicken malai roll. It is amazing, chicken was tender soft, and my parents relished it. Paneer tikka roll. It is mind blowing, chunks of paneer, onions, tomatoes, capsicum, in tikka masala. I savor each bite of it. Starters Paneer sholay kebab: It is cubes of paneer marinated with curd and spiced and then grilled on charcoal along with cubed bell peppers and onion. It is loaded with cheese paneer is soft; there are big chunks of paneer. It is grilled to the perfection; it is heaven for paneer lover. Chicken Reshmi Kebabs: Big chucks of Chicken grilled to the perfection, it is juicy and tender. It is accompanied by salad and mint chutney. My Mum’s favorite. Chicken Spring roll It is crispy outside stuffed with finely chopped Chinese vegetables like cabbage, carrots, capsicum and French beans and shredded chicken. It is accompanied with spicy sauce. It is tasty my parents relish it. Kung poa chicken It is delicious with lots of bell peppers. My sister’s choice. Veg platter They are four different types of kebabs. They customized it for me two paneer starters and two veg starters. It had Paneer tikka, Paneer Reshmi Tikka, stuff tandoori Aloo and Veg seekh kebabs. Each one of them is delicious, paneer is soft. It is my favorite dish. Non veg platter The platter had four varieties of chicken kebabs like Chicken Reshmi, Chicken Malai, Chicken Pahadi and Chicken Tikka. Each one of them is amazing. Main course Butter Chicken Boneless Chicken pieces are marinated and tandoored to the perfection. The gravy is thick, not so spicy but delicious. Paneer Lawabdar is soft paneer cooked with red and yellow bell peppers, onion, and tomato in brown gravy. It is topped with fresh cream and cheese. It is mind blowing; it tasted amazing with the naan. Garlic naan is soft and topped with butter and garlic. Biryani Chicken Dum Biryani: It is yummy, perfect blend of spices and flavor; the boneless chicken pieces are tender and juicy. It is not oily; the Biryani rice also was full of flavor. Veg raita: It was nice; curd was thick and creamy, made with chopped vegetables like cucumber and tomato. It came along with the Biryani. Paneer Tikka Biryani It has Chucks of Paneer capsicum onions very well marinated and grilled to the perfection. Paneer is soft; it is wonderful blend of spice and flavor. I had paneer Biryani after a long time, this one was one of the best Paneer Biryani I ever had, It was mind blowing.

Recently visited this place and absolutely fell in love! The food and the ambience are too good! We started with some appetizers like Chicken Tikka Lollipop followed by Stuff Tandoori Aloo. In the main course it was Dhaba Style Chicken tikka with Garlic naan which was the best! We had virgin mojito has mocktails! We also had Chicken Tikka Biryani and loved the taste of everything! It’s a very good place for non-vegetarians. Though there are plenty of veg options available, for me, non-veg dishes are bit more tastier. Service is very decent and even they suggest good dishes. Few dishes including chic. pahadi kabab, chic. kheema, paneer afghani, paneer-mushroom chilli, are my personal favourites. To some extent I feel prices are bit on a higher side. But overall a good restaurant with a decent ambience (mainly non-ac tables).

Really pathetic food quality. Both veg and non veg food have no taste, they are overcharge as well as bad food quality. Definitely will not recommend to any one, service was not good, in any local resto waiter serve the food, but know one bother to do it here even it was not rush time.

The place is like a home run restaurant with a lovely open air seating area. It’s a nice place to sit on cool winter evenings or rainy days. The AC section has 3 tables, 2 small and 1 large table. The place has pocket friendly prices for vegetarians but is a tad bit higher for non vegetarians but that’s expected. Mocktails Blue lagoon was lagoony. The sprite and Curacao syrup blended well. This is a familiar taste for those looking for something they find comfortable. Virgin mojito was minty and tasty. The soda blended well with the minty flavour. Again, a familiar taste for those who want to feel at home. Starters Paneer pahadi tikka was well done with generous amounts of masala on top. The paneer was firm but soft to bite. Also, the paneer had some charcoal burns on the sides which added to the tandoor flavour. The green chutney that came with it paired well with it. Quantity was good. Worth the price. Veg crispy was crispy and sweet with a spicy after taste. I would say it has a familiar taste of crispys!! Quantity was good. Paneer makhanwala dhaba style: it was everything makhani you’d want!! The paneer peices were small and firm. As it’s dhaba style it’s not sweet but it was tangy. The gravy didn’t ooze oil. It was just right. Butter kulcha was crispy and had a slightly crunch flavour to it. Butter laccha paratha: the black sesame seeds on top were the highlight of the dish. They gave a very potent flavour to the paratha which paired well with the paneer makhanwala. Veg Dum Biryani: it had mix vegetable bhaji in it which was also a highlight and the quantity is enough for 2 people. It has caramelised onion garnishing which tasted so good! Special mention here for the staff who waited on us: Lawrence and Richard. They were courteous and attentive.

Was here with my family after a long shopping trip. We were hungry and wanted to try something non-vegetarian, and found this place. The restaurant has a good ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered chicken Mongolian lollipop, which was super good. Then we had the Afghani kebab, which was the best. We also had virgin mojitos along with the food. For the main course, we tried the chicken tikka masala with butter kulcha, and it was excellent. As for the rice, we had the Schezwan fried rice. We had a really great time here.

8 month ago me and my boyfriend were sitting in an Indian restaurant in London talking about how we wanted to visit India one day. Here we were today having our very first real Indian butter chicken in Mumbai and it couldn't have been more delicious. The food came with excellent customer service provided by our waiter Lawrence. Highly recommend!

The Place is very informal, but has a variety of menus. The food was tasteful and good quantity. Pricing is very moderate and serves both veg and non veg. for sure you will re-visit it. Inside seating is small and can accommodate only 10.

Cottage grill as the name suggests offers great kebabs. Tried the chicken tandoori lollipop and was worth it. Tasty and tender was a great attribute of this dish. Ordered for a soup and was good too. The place has a cool ambience. Its located in a quiet lane which adds in to the ambience.

This was long due & finally on Saturday evening we decided to treat ourselves to some kebabs from Cottage Grill ! #appreciationpost for Aditya Desai & his team. Now after tasting this #AlishaanChickenKebab , I must say the kebabs prepared here are just sooo fantabulous and way different from the ones which usually get at other restaurants. Now one would say a kebab is kebab, what's so different???? Firstly, huge chunks of really fresh & tender chicken. Then the marination is the key to any good tasting kebab. Top notch quality ingredients are used, yes I am writing this confidently becoz the taste was evident. The taste is absolutely brilliant, midly spiced marination somewhere like a malai kebab but it's not a sweetish taste. This one is malai kebab but with a hint of spice. The well marinated kebab is then tandoored. The chicken is so tender & soft that it gets cooked easily. It's roasted to utmost perfection, with the charred effect just the way it's supposed to be. Not too much, not too less . This awesome chicken kebab is then layered with a creamy luscious layer of cheese which is then topped with finely chopped bell peppers & spices. After eating this #Alishaan #ChickenKebab, such a lovely taste is lingering in your mouth that u will not want to eat anything else after this. Food was made too spicy even after giving "less spicy" instructions. Over Priced. Quality is deteriorating day by day. There's no taste to the food and it's too spicy. Will never ever buy again.

The best thing is, it's a quiet and secluded place. Best to be with small grouo of family or friends. Variety of kebabs on Menu . They also serve Chinese to support the Kebeb at the corner. Portion size are very well t designed to cater 4 people. Food quality and tastes are good. Customizable menus as per your liking

It's a small, quaint place. The Afghani Tandoori Chicken, Dhaba-style Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and Veg Schezwan Fried Rice were good. The rice was not oily & was full of veggies. The Schezwan Chutney was extremely oily & didn't taste very good. The Mushroom Lasooni Tikka was quite bad. It was very soggy & didn't have any flavour of garlic. The Tandoori was initially undercooked but they promptly corrected it & re-served it. The staff is cordial & polite. They gave us 20% discount and also offered us Stuffed Tandoori Aaloo for tasting, which tasted great!
