Jai Jawan is a popular North Indian restaurant in Mumbai. It has two branches, one in Linking Road, Bandra West and the other in Khar Pali Road, Khar West. The restaurant is known for its tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and kebabs. The ambience of Jai Jawan is casual and relaxed. The interiors are done in a traditional Indian style, with wooden furniture and bright colors. The restaurant is usually crowded, especially in the evenings. The service at Jai Jawan is friendly and efficient. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and can help you choose the right dishes. The food at Jai Jawan is delicious and reasonably priced. The portions are generous, and the food is always fresh. Some of the popular dishes include: Tandoori chicken Butter chicken Chicken tikka masala Lamb kebabs Mutton rogan josh Naan Roti Rice Overall, Jai Jawan is a great option for North Indian food in Mumbai. The food is delicious, the service is good, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good Indian meal.

I went in a long drive across mumbai and decided to eat fish fry and prawn fry at hai jawan and it was amazing. In the comfort of my own car and the fast service and the mouth tempting and melting fish and prawns took my heart

Best chicken tikka kebabs ever. It is one of the oldest and well known branch and brand when it comes to serving fresh chicken, mutton or fish. Chicken tikka kebabs are must have Mutton sheekh kebabs are great too For mains do try chicken tikka biryani. In short this place is a delight if you are a non veg fan.

Food - 4/5 (need more items) Quality- 4/5 Quantity - 5/5 Service - 5/5 This place is located in the heart of the linking road. Sometime it becomes too crowded to get a place to stand and eat. Do try Prawns fry and Punjabi Fish Fry. I wish there would be few more items on the menu.

Jai Jawan has been serving Tandoori and fried fish for years opposite National College. Even though you're stormed by sellers nearby the flavours of the food are sure to make you ignore them. The tandoori chicken and Seekh kebab are some of the best and the prawns fry is worth trying. They offer you to either stand in front of their shop and have your food or enjoy service in your car

I didn’t expect the prices to be this much. The food is good and kebabs are must try.

Lovely fish fry with a minimal coating, No place to park or seat, Costing is slightly on the higher side. This place is a must-visit place

Jai jawan has the best prawn fry and rawas fry.. they're just too good.. Rs.475 for 250gms prawns and Rs.550 for 250gms of rawas fry and it's definitely rawas. Chicken Tikka was alright. Best to eat it when just made else it'll get soggy. This is just a roadside stall and there's no parking there so you gotta park on link road around Burger King and just walk. While you're order is getting ready you can buy lovely earrings, finger rings etc. Lots of other things to shop too :)

I short it's a stall with Punjabi fish fry and prawns fry. But OMG. If you want a treat on your cheat day, this is the place. Fish and prawns are fried in butter and ghee, crispy, spicy with chutney and pav. Serving directly on the road place can become very crowded in the evenings and on weekends. A great reminder that amazing food not necessarily cost you a fortune (there is a very tasty Bastian just across the street but the bill will be there 5 k for 2. Here you enjoy your amazing street food and think that life is good. (Warning - you might need to schedule your gym session right 3 hours after the meal ;-))

There is no better place for koliwada type fried prawns & ravas fish than Jai Jawan in mumbai. The prawns are the juciest with the right masala and fry.Its not just the size of the prawns, it's also the texture that makes it the best. The ravas fish fry is also as amazing. The chicken fry is also good. But for the past 20 yrs or more we have been going here only for the sea food.Lovely.

One of the best Street foods in Mumbai. The prawn and fish are too fresh. Must try with pav. There are kebabs also. Service is quick. Not so pocket friendly but still it's a place to visit.

Years ago had heard a lot about this small little outlet on the Linking Road in Bandra serving amazing fish. FINALLY managed to experience the magic - The Punjabi fish fry is indeed amazing. The people serving at the counter are warm and welcome you as if you're a regular! The service is quick and the preparation is fresh - steaming hot. If you're a fish lover, this simple yet filling food is a must try!

Guys, this place is amazing. Although there are no seats, you can always have your car parked and have a delicious meal of the kebabs and chicken recipes, Liver fry and fish fry to your appetite. The quality of the place is amazing. This stand by the quality of the food they serve. You can never go wrong for a meal at Jai Jawan!

It's basically on the main street of Linking Road, opposite National College. But food is awesome for non veggies. Tandoori chicken to fish koliwada etc. Have been visiting their since 20 years. Only drawback is eating area. As they just let you squeeze around the stall or in vehicles parked. So best time to visit to eat out is 9 pm to 11 pm pickup is available since 6 or 7 pm.

Located on the linking road right opposite to the national college, famous for their Punjabi fish fry. We tried the fish fry and prawns. The fish had a crisp texture and mouth melting on the inside, the mint chutney is really good. Prawns were crispy. You also have the option of having it with pav. It's a small shop catering to a huge number of people and can get really crowded on weekends, better to have it in your car or takeaway. Limited items on the menu, could have more options

In my opinion it was ok ok place rather I would say its over hyped. I tried Punjabi Prawns fry (550 rs) they served 10 pieces and Prawns size was really good and it was fresh so quality was good but taste wise it was ok ok i was not getting any masala taste , you will get better taste than this in many malvani restaurants in lesser price Also I tried chicken banjara tikka (330) for this price I think quantity was good and taste wise also it was better than Prawns Overall I would say this place doesn't have seating option (they do have one more outlet with seating provision) and price you are paying just to eat food standing its quite high. So the food is good but over hyped.

I dont have any pictures, its typical street stall. But oh Man what a Taste! Famous for their Fish and Kebabd Items. Especially Fish. Must try is Prawns. Addictive taste. One of the best. Its costly yes but worth every penny. Loved it!

Excellent street food, Amritsari style fried chicken fish and prawns served with green chutany and onions. Ther is no space to sit ... You must order from your car and get it delivered there. All Punjabi style food is must try for. It serves food till late night. Enjoy the most delicious food at the night hours.

The best outlet for exceptional sea food. Fish and prawn fry are lip smackingly awesome 👌. Great service, great taste. No issues with parking as they have arrangements with friendly and helpful staff. Cost wise a little on the higher side but worth it.

Usually Crowded. Very Famous for Non Veg. If accompanied by vegetarians they have just one option, Paneer Tikka. Excellent Taste and all is Fresh.

Its a small stall on the linking road. Yet attracts a humongous crowd, all credits to its taste and the good will that it has created. Yumm chicken starters. Would definitely recommend

Been craving for the special fish fry since a very long time and finally grabbed the opportunity to have it. The wait is over and I was so satiated. The huge fish fillet chunks sprinkled with masala powder accompanied with mint chutney and onions n lime is a bliss to one hungry tummy.

The extra star of 5 is the extra courteous staff.. and no doubt non veg sea food steals the show.. Punjabi prawns fry is a must.. slurpy.. mouth watering... Chicken tikka masala.. rumali roti .. it was second dinner but had enough space for the finger licking food.. Basis quantity the pricing is also moderate and not steep.. Can visit this again and again.. recommended for non veg lovers..
