It's a very nice place to go to with your family and friends or just yourself, it right by the beach that's nice in the summer heat the park has a place to go and be under a tree to sit down and eat. The park has a lot's of parking places for anyone to use as some are even under trees and that is really good in the heat of summer months.

The family and I had a great time at Diamond Lake beach, aka Mundelein Park & Rec. It’s very nice to spend time at a laid-back beach that wasn’t overly crowded with plenty of life-guards on duty. The water was a bit smelly and the beach recently closed due to high bacteria counts which is one of the only reasons I am not giving a 5star review. The other is that we had to pay full-price for our 3yr old but since the full price is very affordable, it’s not too bad either. We really loved our afternoon playing in the sand the kids sure did love playing for hours in the water. Looking forward to next time!!!!

Don't go to swim. You are only allowed to go as deep as 3 feet. And it seems like every now and then there's an algae bloom and you aren't allowed in the water at all. It's got some nice little areas if you have children.

I am a new resident to Mundelein. I gave this place one star due to the fact that I was there for the paddle boat was informed there was none available for the rest of the day by Julie. I still paid to go inside its a great place. I seen one paddle boat parked all the hours I was there and another used. I wonder if there is only two paddle boats in general? If so the website should not have incorrect information.

It's a nice sandy beach with 4 large umbrellas, 2 life guards, playground, and row boats for rent all for only $4 a person. Kids under 3 are free! My 2 year old son loved it!! They also have bathrooms and showers to wash off on the premises.

Clean, neighborhood beach in Mundelein. They have paddle boards and wake boards for you to use at the beach. Make sure to get a pass for the day or for the summer.

A nice beach with clean sand, a couple of large umbrellas and play area for kids. We went the week after the algae bloom(which I learnt about after the visit) and it was having a bit of stench but we should have checked their update before visiting, I guess. But for a beach closer to home, it was a good one!

This is a nice little beach. Usually not crowded. The playground and volleyball court is a great opportunity for breaks out of the water.

I love this little beach, but I've gone there twice at 5pm on a Friday and they were closed even though the hours are until 7pm. Was so disappointed!

Small, shallow even at the deep end. Nice park attached. Perfect for the little ones and getting some sun.

Swimming area is small and good for the kids, but if you have your own equipment you can launch into the main lake (BEWARE, they WILL NOT let you on the main portion of the lake to swim) All the locals are also friendly and some even pulled my wife & my tube across the entire lake so we could just float back to the beach area! Definitely a fun place to visit, and we plan to return here again in the future!
