This place is atrocious. CONSTANT banging above us. Tried to explain the situation to manager, to which I was told that nobody was staying above us. When the maintenance guy arrived to switch out our refrigerator, h e confirmed that there were kids staying above us. Interesting miscommunications. Have ear plugs in and can STILL hear them. Not sure what I'm paying for. Asked for extra towels and had to follow up on that request too.

Horrible experience. Extremely unsafe and unsanitary. I have asthma and I also experienced the cigarette smell some people mention in the comments. There was also a mold stain in my room and I’ll probably contact the health department about this especially because they won’t even get back to me about a refund for the horrible experience. Edit/update: just so everyone is aware they still have not gotten back to me through emailed despite having sent it almost a week ago. I sent them an email and they have not emailed me back. I would appreciate if the owner sent me the email I should email to get this issue resolved

Light's keep going out, and there are no available outlet switches to plug anything up for my devices to charge. The breakfast wasn't what they claimed, Walls were extra thin, the curtains needed double layers, and plenty of air came in along with the sun. I also didn't feel safe with the window like that. It was very easy to get into my room. So no, I didn't sleep well at all!

Got 2 rooms reserved online. They told us we could pay when we arrived to the hotel LOCATED @ 1950 S Lake St, Mundelein IL 60060. When we arrived they asked for our card for payment. After we paid they THEN told us that they gave one of our rooms away. SO they expected us to fit 7 people in 1 room. After they stole our $200 and gave us our 1 room out of 2 we asked for a refund and to cancel the payment which they declined. Keep in mind we never left the lobby and never stepped foot inside a room. After speaking to the manager on the phone she was very difficult to understand AND very racist towards white people.

Where do I begin. For starters they discriminate terribly. I called and asked what was the amount of the room deposit and the manager said 100$. However, when I arrived the front desk staff told me I had to pay a deposit of 150$. But their website says their room deposit is 50$. I asked the manager why have I been given 2 different quotes and their website says 50$ she said it’s wrong. She said she can charge whatever she wants to charge.she then said “ I can charge 500$ if I want to.” So since there’s no standard she is able to charge whatever she chooses to whomever she chooses based on her what educated opinion, the customers race or socioeconomic status? Or maybe the type of vehicle I arrive in….. ? The service is terrible. The front desk staff and more importantly the manager is unprofessional and rude. I came in and gave my ID and said I had a reservation. The lady looked in her computer then told me she needed a 150$ deposit. I informed her I was with PADS. Then the manager said “ the room is no smoking and if you smoke I will kick you out faster than PADS. Then she proceeded to tell me the RULEs They must come in my room every Monday and Friday to clean/inspect the room and I am not allowed to be in the room when I told her we have a lot of stuff I wanted to be able to monitor my things she said “my staff don’t steal”. She proceeded to say that I am not allowed to put the do not disturb sign on the door per PADS or they will kick me out. ( I called the director of PADS immediately afterwards and he said that was not true. I informed him of the attitude of the manager when I said I was with pads as well as all the rules, he stated he would follow up with management. Day 2 The power has been going off all night I counted 11 times the power went out before we finally fell asleep. Woke up at 6 am and the power is still going off. This place is the one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at. I will update along the stay as well as with pictures

Never again will I stay or even recommend this place. What was show on the pictures compared to the actual product is a farce. Upon reaching our room, I felt like I was in a time warp, entering the twilight zone. The room was old and dirty, furnishings, carpet and linens. The room even had a smell and later on my son found bugs. My family just sucked it up and could not wait to leave in the morning. This place is not acceptable, never again, in fact they should refund what I paid since everything was not acceptable. Wyndham should have a higher standard on who represents them.

They advertise $58 pr. night, but charge $90. The room looked like the images, except older and worn-out. The bad smell is what makes the room a 1 star. No shampoo in the bathroom. The lights in the room turns off every 10 minutes, even when you are in the room. You can't turn it on again, unless you get up and move around so the sensor detects you. I was planning to stay 20 days. Came late, so I stayed 1 night, but left in the morning.

Cleanliness a -1, floors were sticky, bed had huge indent from past guest. Service -5, desk clerk didn’t care about my room issues in addition to witnessing her argue with another guest about a refund, and was badgering another guest and family because they were going to take their waffle to their room. The lady at the desk actually called the cops on the guest, when the desk lady initiated the whole thing! Overall experience this place should probably be condemned. Oh also don’t wear white socks if you decide to take your chances with this POS!!!! See image from the first hour in the room.

I’ve never had a more worse experience at a hotel in my entire life. The TV wasn’t connected when I checked into my room. Some of the room lights went off every 30 minutes; very inconvenient. The sink in the bathroom leaked water onto the countertop when you turned it on. The room smelled like cigarettes. The woman at the front desk made a mistake with my reservation. It was for 2 nights. The first morning of my stay, I was approached by a different woman at the front desk when I went to grab breakfast. She said my reservation was only for one night but my invoice from when I first booked my reservation said two nights. She started yelling and screaming at me, and went as far as calling the police over a mistake that the hotel made. She also called me a “pig”. I reported the incident to Wyndham customer service and they said the hotel’s mistake was not my fault, and that the police should have never been called. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Do not book through them. Not only was our room DISGUSTING, we all ended up sick after eating breakfast there. I would NOT recommend this at all. On top of that, the customer service is HORRIBLE! Rude and racist. We will not be staying in another Super8 EVER again.

Front desk service was incredible, they were so accommodating and welcoming. My room was booked here on a very late notice, but everything was ready when I arrived.

We stayed two nights to go to six flags. Everyone we talked to on staff was nice. Breakfast was basic Continental but fresh and well stocked. Our room was clean and we had no issues during our stay. Easy drive to six flags.

This is definitely the cleanest hotel in the area. The staff is great and your vehicle is always safe in their parking lot. I have stayed here many times and always have a great experience.

My stay here was uncomfortable- everything was fine until bedtime in rm#119, there were mice in the mattress(I played vicious cat music on YouTube w/cell phone) and felt the panting of the confused mice.called the front desk 2am, he moved me room #117 . Only this time 1 field mouse instead of several- “ let the buyer beware “

The absolute worse customer service. I was there 3 weeks ago and was never asked for a $100 deposit. Went there tonight and the lady refused to let me check in without giving her a $100 cash deposit. I explained to her that they usually take my card information and she then told me I'm welcome to cancel my reservation. Over here acting like she owns Hilton just to serve dry cereal every morning for breakfast. DO NOT GO HERE.

The customer service is terrible especially the owner. We showed up about an hour early for check in which we would not have minded to wait. I am 6 months pregnant who just drove through Chicago rush hour traffic so I had to use the bathroom pretty bad. The owner would not let me use the facilities and it was for employees only. She did allow us to check in early but turned into an issue. My dad had reserved the room for us and planned to pay for the room. The owner would not charge the card used to reserve the room even after putting my dad on the phone to verify. Made huge fuss so we ended up charging our card. While going up to the second floor it wrecked of a freshly lit cigarette. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and someone must of just came in after having one. I was a smoker once upon a time. Upon entering the room the quilts on the bed had cigarette burns and paint stains. My husband took the quilt down to get a new one. The one he brought back also had a burn hole. After being in the room for 30 minutes the fresh lit smoke smell came into our room. Opening the door to the hallway the smell was stronger. My son has asthma so this was unacceptable. We had 2 night reservation, so asked my husband to cancel the second night. The manager refused, said we needed 48hours to cancel. Nicer hotels only need 24hours. This place was a scam. We left and the owner refused to give us a receipt. Another woman chimed in and told my husband that she is a smoker and did not smell any smoke. To which he replied she was the wrong person to check. We didn't end up staying and we were still charged the almost $300 stay.

I agree that the atmosphere in the hotel is comfortable, quiet, an excellent location with gas station market areas and banks very close to the hotel. An Exclusive Hygiene in all areas of the hotel. It is very calm in the rooms and service is spectacular. I recommend it.

Good hotel, nice rooms, comfortable beds, excellent staff, good breakfast, excellent location, and amazing price. I mean, I'm not trying to sound like I'm overselling it--it's a budget hotel, not the Hilton. But I travel a lot for work, and it's definitely someplace I'll go back to.

Overpriced, didn’t tell us when we booked there was a $25 fee per dog- just said pet friendly. Not pet friendly! The guy at the front desk clearly did not want to allow us to stay with the dogs but told us he was required to by corporate. I had to walk up to the third floor with a knee that needs surgery because they wouldn’t allow me to take my dog in the elevator and had given away my pet room before I arrived (even though I had already paid in full). My friend found a can of cat food under her bed. There was plenty of grass to walk the dogs. Mattresses seemed dirty but no bugs. Felt safe.

Pictures do not match property, room smelled horrible, bedsheets dirty, rug needs to be completely replaced. Manager didn’t acknowledge or do anything to remedy the situation. I was literally at the hotel 5 minutes and tried to cancel my reservation which manager refused to cancel.

This hotel is exactly what I wanted to stay in! The room was exceptionally clean.. the bathroom was very spacious… my beds have always been really comfortable..(from my King size bed, my Queen size bed and the two full size beds) I have stayed here at the Super 8 1950 S. Lake St in Mundelein, Illinois … many many times. (Nearly 20-30 separate times in the last year) They have a wonderful full continental breakfast with a home made waffle maker… toaster… juice bar … coffee bar… breads.. donuts and many more!! Your room comes equipped with a coffee maker.. a medium size fridge and a microwave!! They have a washer and dryer if u need to stay longer.. and a soda and snack machine if u get thirsty or u need a snack at anytime! They also allow your pets to accompany you when u stay. There is a McDonalds… Taco Bell… an excellent breakfast restaurant… a nail salon.. a couple grocery stores… Chinese Restuarant…a CVS… a Dollar Tree and a gas station Al within walking distance!!! You room is so quiet and u don’t here the traffic at all. The whole hotel is so quiet that I was able to fall asleep without anything to bother me! So bring ur family and friends (and ur pets)… thank u all at Super 8

Bugs in the room, all over the the desk and table front desk did nothing about our problem. All the lady at the front desk said why didn’t we just leave in the mid of the night. She was very rude we have videos and photo we call corporate and I will dispute the charges with Amex.

Upon arriving I was glad to see the restroom sign in the lobby pointing down the hallway. I had just rode over 200 miles and really had to go to the bathroom. When I get down the hallway there is a door that says restrooms and a sign on top of that that says no public restrooms. Maybe you could take down the sign in the lobby? Better yet, provide a public bathroom. I don't understand why there would not be one.

The manager Ishita Patel was so nice and friendly treated us like we were family. Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. We would stay here again. P.S. reservation was under my wifes name Michelle Stanley.

Great Management, very helpful. Always pleasant and smiling. Clean room at a good price. Will stay here every time I'm in the area. Breakfast is always on time.

The room service was the best I have seen in two years. I travel a lot and COVID seemed to kill clean room service. Room service was a welcoming reminder of a good hotel. Breakfast was typical free hotel breakfast. It’s free you want better go to a restaurant. Overall good location for shopping and restaurants.

I love how this place makes fake emails to drop multiple good reviews for themselves. This was the absolute most disturbing, disgusting, and unprofessional hotel we have ever been to. Do not do business with this hotel. I don't even know where to start. The rooms smell absolutely disgusting, the place had bugs living underneath loose carpet that was by our bed. The staff are very rude and unprofessional when confronting them about the listed issues. Don't even get me started about the manager. The manager isn't even American, talked very little English, and was very rude when we tried to get another room or a refund. She then went on to say "You whites and Black's drive me crazy"

We noticed that our room smelled funky. We then started to locate the smell and found bed bugs under the bed frame and under the mattress. When we called and complained the manager offered to transfer us to stay in another room in an attempt to hush us up and keep us quiet about our discovery.
