Sadly will be the last time I go to Emil's. A shame too, their wings were pretty tasty. But I strongly suggest you provide your business to a different Mundelein bar, there's plenty out there. Bartender was beyond condescending and rude from the getgo. She needed to check our identification, which is all well and good, a place like this needs to keep the rules strict if they plan on keeping their liquor license. But being disrespectful to your patrons, and ignoring us when at the bar is inexcusable. The blonde bartender was evidently having a bad night, or didn't want to be there, and she felt it was fitting to take out her aggression on customers. She felt the need to chastise and begin a tirade on one of my friends for having a vertical I.D. from a different state, when he wasn't drinking alcohol or planning to. She was considerably rude, and her behavior was unbecoming considering how patient and unconfrontational we were being. I would understand if we were being drunk and rowdy, but we hadn't even gotten our drinks yet. Unacceptable behavior, I regret tipping. The waitresses and host at the door were incredibly lovely and pleasant, have nothing but good things to say. The food is solid too. Honestly, if it weren't for the negative experience with the bartender, I would have nothing but good things to say about this place. But the amount of disrespect and vitriol coming from a single source is enough to make me never want to return. I don't want spit in my drink for expecting the bare minimum of decent service. If you can't be bothered to make a drink, why work as a bartender?

Friendly restaurant, great bar, love the outdoor covered deck. They smoke their own meats - brisket, pulled pork, ribs - are a real treat. Prices are very reasonable.

Great local bar. My Cajun Chicken Emil Salad was amazing. 1/2 pound burgers we also tasty.

We're visiting from out of town and ordered a couple of pizzas for takeout. Fantastic! I particularly enjoyed the double decker crust: not as doughy as pan pizza, not as thick as stuffed pizza, and with a nice, braided border crust.

I love the patio spot waitresses were on point and fast even in a crowded day

I usually get the tenders with honey mustard dipping sauce, they r crispy on the outside and moist on the inside perfect raciio

Came to Emil’s with Anthony. Great restaurant here in Mundelein, I will definitely be back! We got the mozzarella sticks and they are to die for! Sauce or no sauce, the mozz sticks are great! I ordered the CBR Pizza and Anthony got the Bacon And Cheese burger. Both were fantastic. The pizza was perfectly done; I’d probably order a normal pizza if I wanted a pizza again. Anthony says the burger is a 100/5 and gets it every time. The atmosphere is great, with TVs and music not too loud in the background. It’s got a nice bar and grill feel that matches what you’d expect. The service was great, nothing wrong there. If you are in Mundelein and have never had Emil’s, you’ve gotta try! (Paid $24 for the pizza and mozz sticks)

Great pizza and beer sports bar. Service was awesome, and indoor seating was great for TV viewing. Beer selection was mostly macro beers with a couple of local taps.

Great service at the bar tables tonight Food was very good and the service was better. I forget our servers name but she was awesome.

It did not disappoint I had high expectations because of all the good reviews. Excellent pizza and bar service. I had the pleasure of running into one of the cooks. Big guy with brown hair. I did not catch his name but he seemed like a great guy and whipped up some delicious food faster than I could drink a single beer. He really made me feel like I was in a comfortable family style environment where I could put a smiling face to the delicious food. My girlfriend put in a complicated custom order and he did not flinch or get a single thing wrong. If that guy is not a partner in the restaurant and then he needs to be paid well because it seemed as though his heart was in it, so the love comes out in the food.

One of our most favorite places for over twenty years. Great food, the best delivery in town, and a place I’m very comfortable to be in whether to eat, drink, hang out, or all of the above.

Fun sports bar with friendly people. Could use a few more healthy menu choices, but all in all a great place. Recommend the Buffalo Chicken Salad or the pulled pork, without the bun!

The people are really rude on the phone. The l”extra large” pizza which is basically a large from dominos is 30 dollars. Food taste awesome at least.

Have been going here for over 50 years. Played softball for the original Emil. Bought my first house from the cook. Worked there summers one year. Dad bartender there. Great food and atmosphere. Beef sandwiches are to die for.

Normal selection of drinks on tap. The wings and cheese curds were good. And the staff was very friendly

When you order a pizza and it’s 20 minutes late I can understand the kitchen being swamped but when you’re handed your pizza and it’s lukewarm (like it’s been sitting around for 20 minutes) that’s not the kitchen. Never going back

Super fast pickup times however the brisket and mexican wrap weren't that great. Brisket sandwich was pretty light on meat and mexican wrap was pretty bland. Good quantity of food though.

First time in this establishment, no sign posted as to wait to be seated. One waitstaff said to be seated at an available table and once seated a different waitstaff ask us to leave the table because she was saving it for another. Will not return. Very rude

Great place with wonderful and friendly service... But man it was like an ice box inside it was so cold!

Had taco salad special last night and it was awful. Where was tortilla shell? All condiments were missing . Lettuce little bit of ground beef and a few black beans does not make a taco salad.Taco Bell makes a better taco salad.
