food is good but service sucks! waited 10 mins no server, walkins orders taken and given before anyone acknowledged me. i had to order at the counter and when i complained the owner gave ME an attitude! Its been a year of me coming here and still getting the "we're waiting for the credit card machines"... lies... bring cash owner full of ish. or better yet go to another place.

Amazing carnitas with homemade tortillas. That's the only thing in the menu I care for. Their Chicharron are delicious.

The carnitas were delicious! 😋 Service was quick and friendly. Would definitely recommend for a quick lunch. They also have imported Coca-Cola from Mexico in bottles. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hello, i’d like to introduce myself… I’m a wearer of many hats professionally; I’m a Lifestyle Blogger, food enthusiast, and an experienced cook, specifically Hispanic & Italian cuisines. I have a very strong opinion of what certain foods should taste like… things like ingredient quality, texture, flavors, style of cooking etc. I came in late September and it was my first time eating been here. I ordered a steak tacos 🌮 dinner with rice & beans. I’m very picky about my how steak – Carne Asada tacos, burritos, tortas etc…. and really any meat in tacos overall. I would say that I am picky about The texture and quality of the meat, how it should be cooked and seasoned etc. The rice and beans were very good and seasoned properly, however I felt that the beans were a tad bit salty, good overall and definitely not bland. The The quality and texture of the Carne Asada steak I would give a 7-8 / 10 as the texture was OK I did find a couple pieces of fat and rubbery chunks which is what I do not like. It was seasoned properly and not over or under seasoned which is good 👍🏼 based upon this, I would definitely visit again and try some thing else on the menu, possibly their pollo/chicken. Likely that many of my family members would be chose the pulled pork Carnitas or steak.

Been here twice. Making it part of my mundelein restaurant (I'm a local) rotation. I've only had the carnitas torta and I'm not sure when I'll get around to trying anything else because that torta is so excellent it will be hard not to keep ordering it! Owner (I think) took my order and was very polite thanking me for coming in. Love this new find!

I visited this place during a weekday right around 1pm. There werent many customers but the food was still okay..It wasnt the top of my list for Mexican food but it was ok.

The best food I had yet 5 star carnitas are on point and its o so good been telling everyone I know about this place to try out .number one go to place for good food

I usually just order carnitas to go but the menu and plates people order all look delicious as well. Plenty of seating for dining in.

No uber eats, grub hub or delivery, the line can get really long and such a small parking space. Food is ok but not worth the long line wait.

Very good carnitas in the subburbs, fresh and very good. Fresh chicharon and decently priced as well. Will be coming back.

I'm starting off by saying the food is very good, for take away only though. We decided to eat there but the service was not great. The food was served on disposable styrofoam plates, with disposable plastic spoons. The sides, rice, beans and salsa were also in disposable styrofoam containers. It was just two of us eating there and the total came out to about $60, not worth it for eating with disposable plates and cutlery. Again, the food is very good but buy it for carry out, not eating in.

Went here for some carnitas. They were made fresh, not dry. Got 1 lbs with some salsa, rice, and beans with a 1/2 liter mexican coke. Went down smooth. Definitely will be going back soon!

The carnitas are to die for. That being said don't order the steak tacos for you may be disappointed, you don't go to a carnitas place and expect steak tacos to be at the same level. Other than that they always seem busy when I've gone in which proves they are successful in delivering good food and service.

Very good carnitas, it was my first time coming here and I would come back when I'm around. The quesadilla was well made not as big as other places but not bad. They have a deal for 1 lb of carnitas with rice and beans, and they fulfill it with tortillas, for about $28.

To slow in tortillas service , if you want to eat with calm bring your own tortillas.

The carnitas are so good. They don't have that porky taste and not dry.

The Best Carnitas in town. Just drove 45 minutes to buy carnitas And we ended up eating there. Great food, great service.

It's ok. Nothing to ride home about. Annoying that they won't give you a cup of water for free, you would have to buy bottled water. I've never been to a restaurant in Illinois without free tap water.

You have to be patient if you want to eat here. First of all no one greets you or seats you or anything. No one tells you that you have to go order at the front counter even if you are dining in. If you need anything else after you place your order you have to get up to the front counter and ask for it. Other than that the carnitas were very good.

Tacos de carne asada w/cilantro and cebolla, decent kind of excessively greasy. Same with tacos de carnitas. Friendly staff. Fast service.
