Swimming in the Eiscanal. Freezing but lovely and clean!!

You will immediately be attacked by a grey-haired, beer-bellied deputy sheriff in an aggressive and insulting manner (OT: "if you could read... they have no business here!!!") if you just enter the holy dog-free area. We just wanted to roam around... Horribly stuffy people here in Augsburg...

Nice public swimming opportunity on the Göggingen factory site. Mainly young clientele, but this doesn't have a negative impact on the perceived volume. The factory canal has a pleasant current that should not be underestimated - you should therefore keep an eye on small children. There are also opportunities for various sports on the site, such as basketball, table tennis and enough grass for footballers and the like. The only negative thing to note is the small number of trash cans, which means that those available are overfilled.

It's a bit cold in winter😉 but it's in a great location and always worth a visit.

Große Liegewiese mit kleinem Parkplatz, Kinderspielplatz am anderen Kanalufer, nur für Schwimmer geeignet Ein und Ausstiegshilfen vorhanden

Schön ist anders. Das Wasser ist im Vergleich zum Eiskanal sehr warm (nix für mich), außerdem dunkelbraun, angeblich von Kupfer und Mineralien, ich fand's eklig, und kaum Strömung. Zudem schaut man von der zugegebenermaßen großen Liegefläche auf eine Häuserzeile. Vorwiegend Youngster-Publikum. Mit über 50 fällt man auf. Wir zogen bald weiter.

Passend für die Jugend und gute Location um nach dem Sport abzukühlen. Mein Vorschlag: (Die Parkplätze entfernen (es kommen eh alle mit dem Rad, zu Fuß oder der Bahn) und die Liegewiese vergrößern.
