One of the hidden gems in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. The menu is available in English, which is nice for tourists. Gluten-free vegan based TAKOYAKI was bomb. By far the best food we’ve had throughout Osaka Oh and we loved the 200 yen make your own drinks station! So cool!

This place is amazing. If you are vegetarian, you cannot miss coming here. The owner is super lovely and she ducks out to do short deliveries on her own. She works super hard so please support this place. The takoyaki is delicious and so is the yuzu ice cream, it really is great value. Also if you are pure vegetarian she knows how to make your meal without onion and garlic, you can eat here with no worries at all. She spent almost 10 minutes explaining to me the concept of aisowarai which means forced smiles that japanese are taught to give people even if they aren't happy, she doesn't believe in forcing emotions so she put up a sign saying no aisowarai. But actually she smiles beautifully, just not on command, she's more real than that. Thank you so much for your delicious takoyaki please do well so we can come back in the future :)

Must visit restaurant for Vegan/Gluten free takoyaki! I thought I wouldn’t be able to try vegan takoyaki on my trip and would have to just keep watching my husband eat the takoyaki with octopus in, however once we found OKO - I couldn’t get enough and we went twice in two days! The takoyaki are delicious and there are a number of other well-priced sides too. The owner is extremely friendly and it’s very admirable that she does all of the cooking - and fast! Would definitely recommend to anyone, even non-vegetarians!

The vegan Takoyaki was one of the best I’ve ever had. The vegetarian/vegan/ gluten free options were really nice for those who need it. his is an one woman show and she is amazing. Can’t wait for our next Osaka Shinsaibashi trip just to come here!

We have found the best up-and-coming takoyaki restaurant in the Namba area! A few minutes from Shinsaibashi station, I was attracted by the gluten-free text on the sign and entered the cute store! Plus, the self-serve style drink system kept me entertained. Of course, the takoyaki is a new texture and insanely delicious! How is this gluten free... 😆 Also, the takoyaki are not only gluten-free but also Vegan and vegetarian, so I will revisit next time with a vegetarian friend. The bill is too cheap and the best value for money 💪.

What a treat to be able to try gluten free takoyaki! The owner is lovely and friendly and the restaurant has such a cool vibe. The takoyaki was not like anything I’ve had before, and the side dishes were also great. You even have the chance to win a free drink like I did! Would recommend for coeliacs and vegans to visit

What a relief to be able to eat gluten-free vegan! It's actually quite difficult in Japan. So if you eat gluten-free vegan food, this is your place!! The street food is very good, the service is superb and it feels like you walk up (1st floor -no lift) to the very modern/alternative Japanese lifestyle. It's the first time I can eat something different than sushi or onigiri and not having to worry if it has gluten or dairy. I totally recommend it!... And when back in Osaka, I'll definitely come back. PS: I ate Takoyaki, and it came with a cabbage salad and a miso soup... And gluten-free beer. Delicious 😋

Probably the 1 and only vegan Takoyaki you can find in Osaka. Very tasty and good ambient. 👍

The Takoyaki are delicious! 😊 They are so soft and juicy that they almost fall apart while grabbing them with chop sticks. For only 1000 Yen I got 8 Takoyaki with a free miso soup and a salat. I would recommend everyone trying them out! Also the person running this place is super friendly. I went there 4 times during my Japan trip. 😁

i feel so lucky to have been able to try vegan takoyaki! i have been to japan many times but have never been able to try takoyaki as i wasn't aware of any vegan versions, but OKO takoyaki fills that gap. we had to wait a bit to be seated (maybe 20 minutes) but once we had ordered the service was fast and the food was fresh. it is run by one woman and is completely vegan. i really recommend the classic sauce takoyaki, it was so good! and the price is great too, 1500¥ for takoyaki, soup, and kushiyaki. definitely a must visit for vegans wanting to try authentic japanese food!

Absolutely recommended after a long day in Osaka! The shop is run by one woman, who is not only nice, she cooks wonderfully. The food tastes fantastic! Especially recommended for vegans. You have to pay a little attention to the signs in front of the stairs when walking there, but it's worth it!

Food is made quickly and very tasty. And all vegan for the vegans and vegetarians among us or those who can't do squid. The owner is very kind. Food is also very cheap, what is in the picture was 1300 yen for food and 200 yen for the drink. Be sure to give her a visit!

A great place to try vegan takoyaki! Okara is used instead of rice/wheat for those with intolerances. The takoyaki was honestly okay, it had a bit too much sauce for my liking but you can totally ask for less sauce if that's your thing - the takoyaki (balls ?) are delicious on their own. The price is fair as well, especially considering how few vegan options there are late at night in Osaka. The best things about this place are definitely the vibe and the owner who is so lovely and does everything on her own! Her English is really good too. Definitely check out this spot if you're looking for vegan takoyaki in Osaka :)

Only a few minutes walking distance from Dotonbori, this all vegan restaurant is super affordable and specializes in the Osaka Classic- takoyaki. It is on the second floor, so look out for the sign on the sidewalk!

I chose soy sauce and added vegan cheese, but there is no sauce on it, only cheese on it. So it didn't taste good. The taste of the sauce is the most important for takoyaki, but there's no sauce! The vegan cheese didn't melt well and only the top was charred with a torch, so it wasn't delicious.

The best vegan food in Osaka, By far! It’s 10am and I’m itching for 5pm to come around when the store opens. It’s incredible, Can’t wait to return later today.

Finding this restaurant was like stumbling across a secret treasure! A small, innocent entrance and stairs leading to a really cool and comfy place. The women running this place by herself was soo kind and she prepares the takoyaki freshly in front of you. It was a great vegan takoyaki. Could have a bit more consistency but overall my favorite food experience so far.

An amazing place which is a must visit if you are vegan/vegetarian. The place is a hidden treasure in Dotonbori. The chef/owner is just amazing. The food tastes amazing and the drinks are fun.

Super nice place for a snack. I struggled to find gluten free places in Japan and found this place walking past it. The owner is super nice and the food is very tasty. Bonus points for the music.

It was a new proposition for travelers. We are Vegan and had given up on eating Osaka's famous TAKOYAKI (TAKOYAKI usually contain octopus). However, this restaurant offered gluten-free takoyaki made from okara, which made it possible for vegans and vegetarians to enjoy a delicious and enjoyable meal. We recommend this place because you can walk there from Shinsaibashi or Namba stations. This restaurant made the biggest impression on us on our trip!
