During my visit to Osaka, The Drunken Clam was easily my most memorable nightlife experience! After finding it on Yelp I got a few of my friends to join me on a karaoke adventure to Dotonbori. It took a little meandering to find it, but once we found the magic portal to a world filled with "Family Guy" humor it was worth the wait! We got there around 830pm and the bar was pretty empty with only three patrons at the bar. I ordered Quagmire's Giggity Juice for 800 yen which is basically a jungle juice that's like something you'd drink in college. Not gonna lie, I totally loved it and shared a few of them with one of my friends. There is a karaoke remote from which to choose your songs and everyone passes around the microphone. At almost exactly 9pm the weirdest yet most amazing thing happened... the bar became completely packed with customers and an older Japanese man and started singing like a maniac. Then three Japanese businessmen in matching suits sat right by us and sang along to every single song! It's so hard to describe the scene in a review, but I literally felt like I was in the scene of a movie. It was the perfect fusion of bad karaoke, odd personalities and an amazingly cheesy bar as the backdrop. I was so happy at one point that I could not stop from laughing hysterically because I was so happy! If you are thinking about where to go and you love karaoke, you MUST come here. It's a magical place and I can't wait to return on my next visit!

Amazing little karaoke bar. The owner and the staff are super friendly. The clients were super respectful of the karaoke sharing rules. We ended up coming late and staying later than we thought we would. Saved for future visits to Osaka. Also the staff are super good singers, so if you have a favorite song but don't have the confidence, just ask them to back you up.

Went here after a week in Osaka and it was the most accepting experience so far. I speak little Japanese, so a bar where there were many English travelers was a nice change of pace. Ended up chatting with a Japanese man most of the night and singing karaoke. Recommend the Giggity Juice, it was very good and easy to order. Accepts credit card.

Super fun karaoke bar in Osaka. The bartenders are awesome and super fun. Tip for westerners, most all bars in Osaka are small; its normal, get over it, have a drink, and have a good time.

Great place to meet some foreigners in Osaka. There is a lot of prospective English learners that like to come and practice their language skills too. Huge selection on the karaoke with an easy to use machine. You can even put romaji mode on your favourite anime songs and go nuts. I sang KISS songs with a 63 year old salaryman my first day here. Came back multiple times throughout my trip. Thank you so much!

This is an American-style bar in Osaka. There is karaoke and English speaking bartenders. All the patrons are expats. If you're American and home sick you might like this very average place. If you are looking for a unique memorable Japanese experience this is not it. There is no family guy theme here, it's just a name

Similar to other reviews I have read. Came here as a solo act and had the best time, making new friends very quickly & found it a good place to meet other (english speaking) traveller's with a blend of locals. Incredibly friendly staff who are absolute machines on the karaoke (its worth a visit just to hear them). Continued to kick ons after the bar closed with the owner (Cassi) who was so friendly & welcoming! He introduced me to even more people & continued to be hospitable even after leaving his bar. Would highly recommend a visit.

This place was amazing, a great place for foreigners as when we arrived a crowd of travelers started pouring in after we came in and everyone started singing as it's also a karaoke bar. Spoke to Mato one of the bartenders and had an amazing conversation with him.

The Drunken Clam is a must visit bar while in Osaka, the staff is top notch and were very kind and welcoming during my time in the area! If you get a chance to talk with the owner or any of the bartenders there they are wonderful people and will make sure you enjoy yourself in Dotombori This is a must stop if you like Karaoke, there is no cover charge, or karaoke charge, it is open mic style so other patrons normally join in to the songs making for very fun and friendly nights International exchange here is also great! Lots of english speakers come here which can help if you’re not comfortable with Japanese but still want to learn more about the area and night life Highly recommend going around 9:30pm - 10:00pm on Friday’s and Saturdays to meet more locals in the area who go out for the weekend!

2021 review. English native here. This place is amazing. Great drinks and great vibes, the bartender was an American Expat who knows not only how to serve the best drinks, but belts out some mean Red Hot Chili Peppers. Also, the Karaoke here is free. But be nice and buy drinks. Also, Miho was so invaluable. She made my drink perfectly. 10/10 will come back again. I hope to see more of Kyle and Miho! Thanks for the great times! edit: the Drunken Clam is on the 3rd floor, above the infomart. Go hit this place up!

Really fun place! I got there early (travelling solo from U.S.) and chatted with the staff until more patrons showed up. All were English-speaking, which was a refreshing change of pace after spending a week in Japan. Good song selection and reasonable drink selection and prices Please note, the entrance is rather inconspicuous. It's right next to a green and white information stand, and the actual bar is on the 3rd floor of the building. Sorry, forgot to snap a pic

My friends and I came here on our last night in Osaka and it was such a good send off!! We had a blast. It’s a small, cozy karaoke bar that was Family Guy themed. The staff accommodated any song that wasn’t listed. The drinks were great, prices were great, and atmosphere was amazing. Thank you for the great time!

We went in with no expectations and it was a great time. A lot of non-japanese people, which seemed like a regular karaoke bar back home, but the bar tender made it fun. The music selection was great, vibes were great. I was sad I didn't get a chance to try the giggady juice wish I did.

Was visiting Osaka last week and we came across this bar. Best thing we found in Osaka! Staff is really nice and the people who visit are awesome and mostly international. They have good drinks at fair prices. The karaoke is public, which is very nice. A lot of times you're sharing the mic with a complete stranger and that's awesome!

My favorite bar in Osaka. Great atmosphere, drinks, and people. Staff are always friendly and respectful. The best karaoke system in Osaka. It is a great place for both Japanese people and foreigners to drink together.

It's small but fun. This is where we found all the white people. Lol. It's definitely worth going to check it off the list, but be ready to be shoulder to shoulder with strangers (soon the be friends).

Stopped by this lovely establishment a couple times during my time in Osaka. A perfect place for socializing with other foreigners and Japanese locals with booze and karaoke! The staff was very welcoming and I was well taken cared of by the owner. Was gifted free shots and an ipa. I highly recommend this place it low key makes you forget that you’re in Japan with all the English that is spoken in here lol. Mahalos From Hawaii
