This place is a modern architectural marvel that offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the city. The Floating Garden Observatory on the top floor provides a stunning 360-degree vista, especially at sunset. The innovative design and glass-walled escalators create a unique and immersive experience. A must-visit attraction that will leave you in awe.

Amazing building with great views of Osaka. The escalators going up and down the viewing deck was really long and neat to ride. There is a cafe and gift store inside of the viewing deck. The outdoor viewing deck offers extensive view of the city and the escalators below.

Dynamic and Vibrant: Shin Umeda District in Osaka is an absolute gem! With its modern architecture, lively atmosphere, and vibrant nightlife, it's a must-visit destination. The Umeda Sky Building offers breathtaking views, the dining options are diverse, and the shopping scene is fantastic. Don't miss the chance to experience the dynamic spirit of Osaka in Shin Umeda!

It is a really calm and treat place to visit. The great thing is that it’s free! But, we need to huy tickets to go to the top.

Not the most beautiful of buildings but there is an amazing view from the top. The entrance for the sky viewing observatory is easy to find, just follow the signs. Go up to the 3rd floor and take the lift. It's glass so you can see yourself flying up into the sky as the ground disappears from under your feet! If you don't like heights close your eyes! When the lift arrives you get to travel up further on the glass escalator, can be scary too, but it's a great photo opportunity. Then you pay your fee and go up to the viewing platform. There's a cafe they too, so you can drink a coffee while looking at the amazing view. Enjoy. If this review is helpful, please like.

Gorgeous place - definitely worth a visit to watch the sunset. Purchase a lock (online, pre-visit!) for you and your spouse to place your own engraved lock on the tower’s special designated area.

Gorgeous, well designed, and memorable. But do it after dark! Osaka in all it's glory. For those w/ fear of heights, visit just the enclosed 35th floor, circular viewing station (you'll still experience an amazing escalator ride and educational videos about the building of this amazing place!) Otherwise, venture up to the very safe but open viewing deck on the 39th floor; you will feel one with the universe! :-)

Impressive structure!!!! Highly recommend to go see it. Amazing views. The glass door elevator was one of my favorite parts. I went on a Tuesday and was a bit crowed I can't imagine on a weekend 🙃

The place is nice but local Ed on the street. I like the grass and design but it could be much better. Also in terms of drinks I didn't observe something unique so quite common as elsewhere you may find but a bit more expensive

Beautiful viewing platform right at the top of the building. It's close to Osaka station. The top level is open and requires a fee but the bottom one is free. Well worth going up to the top especially at sunset. Along the walk from the station you will pass some interesting monuments and through a tunnel with beautiful artwork. A great place to visit 😄

Before me unfolds a magnificent landscape painting. The sky is a brilliant blue, adorned with soft white clouds drifting lazily. Sunlight bathes the earth, illuminating a lush green meadow. In the distance, majestic mountains stand tall like ancient dragons, their peaks adorned with glistening snow that sparkles in the sunlight. A crystal-clear river meanders through the meadow, its surface gently rippling, surrounded by dense forests and vibrant blossoms. A gentle breeze brushes against my cheeks, carrying the faint fragrance of flowers and the refreshing scent of nature. This scene exudes peace and tranquility, engulfing me in its embrace, as if I have become one with the wonders of the natural world.

A famous tourist spot where can overlook Osaka city from the sky garden. The elevator goes to level 39 for free where can buy tickets (1500 yen) or just look around at the gift shop. There is also an underground food court. Only thing not pleasant was that we walked under strong sun for around 700m from Osaka station to here and walked again back to the station. Not an easy accessible point…

Shin Umeda City stands tall as a bustling hub in Osaka, Japan. This architectural marvel offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city from its observatory deck. The complex houses a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options, making it a one-stop destination for visitors. Its sleek design and convenient access to transportation make it a top choice for both tourists and locals. The Sky Building's Floating Garden Observatory, in particular, provides an unforgettable experience, offering stunning vistas that capture the essence of Osaka's beauty. A must-visit spot for anyone exploring the city.

Very high, you can almost see everything. Easy to access and easy to purchase tickets, not crowded as I expected it to be. They have a cafe shop at the top, their pasta and colafloat was amazing.

Wide variety of brands in many malls, get a better view of the city from Umeda sky building! Usually trees are decorated with lights. Might be difficult to navigate around for the first time as exits lead you to very different places.

Incredible view from 40 floors. The ticket costs 1500 yen, but it is absolutely worth it.

Some of the best views of Osaka at night. The attraction itself didn't have much to do. It was a museum with lots of views of humanity and different cultures around the world. The views were definitely worth the price of admission.

Its a nice urban plaza to just sit around and relax while you're alone As crowded as it gets, you can find a spot to sit by yourself :)

Shin Umeda City is an experience you need to witness for yourself. You will gain an appreciation of the magnitude that is Osaka and how spread out the city is. There are city blocks all around you and every where you turn will give you a memorable photo. Take your time and grab a coffee or some food and make a morning, afternoon or evening of it.

A great place to shop in this area. The area has luxurious brands and the cost living around here is significantly higher. You'll feel a different class while you stroll through the area. Has plenty of things to do around here, such as the umeda sky building, hep ferris wheel, umeda area shopping and so on. Easily spend half a day in this area.

Scenic views and queue to go up to the roof was decent. Loved the experience!

Nice view, many restaurants in the basement. Not much else except a movie theater coffee shop. Area is the site of seven or more large building projects. Soon this will be a city within a city. Right next to the train station

Spectacular views of Osaka. It is a bit pricy though. Defines worth the experience. The views are simply incredible

I went up 35 floors in a glass elevator, that was enough for me. To go higher you pay but I have a fear of heights and 35 was enough. Even there, the view was amazing and the experience would be even better on the sky walk and observation deck. There is a really pretty garden at the bottom most people missed

If i may be honest i would rate it 8,5/10. Like the view and all is good but it kinda pales if I compare it to tokyo skyyower/tokyo tower, fukuoka tower, MT. INASA, Nagoya Tower etc. But it's worth to visit in the evening if the other tourist attractions are closed. Again this is my opinion. A bonus point is that there is a wide selectiln of beers from around the world. You can drink these while enjoying the view. Entrance is easy to find. You enter the building and take the stairs to the next floor(s).

There are some stunning views of Osaka. The top floor is extremely expensive so we skipped it. But we did get some great views on the free section.

Was in the area on the way to the Sky Building. We had to go through an underground passage since there was construction being done. The place was fairly quite and empty particularly later at night when we left around 1900. There were taxis waiting near the street on the way back to the underground passage.

This area is the location of the Umeda Sky Building. During the whole year you can go up to the observatory. But in December the German Christmas market opens here. The Christmas market is great, so if you are here in the Winter, please check if the Christmas market opened its doors.

Popular building in this area. The design is quite unique. Up to 39th floor is free. You need to pay to get into the 40th floor. Foodcourt is located in the basement

We are tourist fr the Philippines... clean invironment. People are nice. We weren’t able to explore the entire place except for Sky Umeda Building..We enjoyed our tour..

  • 4/5 Ceandy T. 5 years ago on Google
you dont have to pay entrance fee with osaka pass. the view from the building is superb. there's a cafe and souvenir shop selling osaka's specialty food and gifts. the building is clean and the direction of going up is very clear. the downside is the escalator was under maintenance while i was there so didnt get a chance to go up on the very cool escalator which hanging outside the building (kinda). there's garden right outside the building with a few sakura tree too.

Came here to check out the German Markets. It was a nice way to spend an evening after shopping at Umeda. I probably wouldn’t move heaven and earth to come but the Christmas decorations and stalls were pretty. The food was probably too expensive and the queue for German hot dogs too long.
