We visited Osaka for 2days and one night for leisure. My family (a family of 4 and my daughter's bestfriend) and my friend's family ( a family of five ) were very happy that we found this guest house for our accommodation for one night. There is no parking so we booked our parking near the hostel for 2 days . Meals are not included in the accommodation but there is a cafe nearby ,we ate our breakfast at the cafe. For easy access to Universal Studio Japan we took the train from Ajikawaguchi Station to Universal City Station ,we left our cars at the rented parking lot. Indeed it was a great experience for all of us .Thank you J-Hoppers Osaka Universal. We highly recommend this place❤️🥰😍

Alright, let me get the good stuff out of the way. Cheap. Friendly staff. Quaint, cute place. Bike rental. Washing machines and dryers. A short walk or even shorter train ride to USJ. But my stay was married by heat. Yes there is an air conditioner in the room but it does not reach the "capsule" part you sleep in. During October this is a killer. Like sleeping in, well, more a steam room than a sauna because of how humid Osaka is. The rest of the place also seems to have AC that's never on so you get back from a hot day and it's even hotter inside. If you can't handle the heat I can't recommend the place. Also, aside from getting to USJ, it's a hassle to get anywhere else. So if you're going to USJ twice, stay two nights. Etc. No more than needed or it's minimum two trains to anywhere ever. But yeah the lack of AC is the killer for me. Bad enough outside but to come back to what should be an oasis in the desert only to suffer more really wiped me out daily.

Stayed at J hoppers specifically for Universal Japan. This was a great hostel for that purpose, and great overall. There were various amenities such as a free use for a bike to the store or the Onsen. The most useful was the free lockers after check out for universal. The staff were helpful and the process was easy and clear. The location is great, near the local JR station and about a 12 minute walk to universal studios Japan. The bed space was big for a hostel with an outlet+free Wi-Fi. The common areas were clean and had shampoo and body wash. If you're looking for a cost effective place to stay in this area I recommend J-Hoppers

Clean and modern, feels more like a hotel than hostel. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable spaces, lots of amenities (washer/dryer, umbrellas to borrow, bicycles to rent, clean and modern kitchen available 24 hrs, lots of toilets and showers, hair dryers, drink vending machine, etc). Family friendly with a kids play area in the lobby. Lots of hangout space in the lobby to eat, drink, and visit. The cleaning staff is thorough and cleans daily. They give you a stamp book to receive discounts and rewards for staying with this chain. We loved staying here!

So happy that my wife found this hostel! We stayed here during our trip to Osaka and it was a great experience for the whole family. They had a room large enough to fit my wife and I with our 2 kids. The staff was awesome the entire time - from reservation to checkout. And the location is great for everything in the area. It is 5 minutes or less to the train station and an easy walk (or train ride) to the front gate of Universal Studios Osaka.

15min walk to USJ. Very convenient to get to USJ. Also can leave luggage here after check out and pick up later to take the night buses at the USJ terminal.

It's been months since i've had a warm bed to sleep on. I finally made it out of Korea (I had to sneak onto a cargo ship out of there). After spending some time walking aimlessly around Osaka, I found myself here. The people here are amazing, they made sure I was comfortable and content with the room I was given. I do plan on staying here a few more nights to unwind, but after that it's straight to Haneda Airport, i'm ready to go home.

Very detailed and thorough with the informations. Everything is exactly as per pictures stated and communicated👍👍 A very good choice to stay for us as a family who plan to go for 1 day USJ visit. Very accessible and the extra services provided (luggage storage & coin laundry) are super plus point. It’s a hostel style stay, so other guests do play a part for the overall experience. Thankfully the other guests during our stay were mostly considerate. So we did have a pleasant stay👍 Will definitely recommend!

Super clean and spacious hostel, a bit out of the way for town center but not too bad on the trains. If you are going to universal I don’t think you can beat it.

I lived nearly 5 months in J hoppers helping out in exchange of free accommodation - “workaway” it was a very rewarding experience indeed, the staff are friendly and helpful, I felt like at home. I am very grateful for their hospitality and kindness. I highly recommend you to visit them and stay in such a nice place.

Although slightly outside the hostel is very accessible by public transport. Quiet and friendly atmosphere so not the place is one is looking for a party hostel. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Overall a great place to stay.

Nice and clean, individual rooms (we had 4 people so we had a private room). Shared riolets and showers, but there's plenty of them. So you don't have to wait. Staff is really nice and if you need a place for a night, I would definitely recommend. Beds are comfortable as well.

The accomodation was very great, and the staff was very friendly. Plus, the staff speak English very well, so it was very convenient for non-Japanese speaker. It is located near to train station which makes it very convenient to travel to other places such as Universal Studio, Nanba and etc. The interior was very clean and nice, with good color combination and the other travellers were polite and keeping each other very comfortable during the whole stay. This place is vey good no matter what kind of traveller you are: solo or with friends and family. I just hope that you can made a little corner prayer room for Muslim guests as it is near 2020 and I thought Muslim guests number will increase throughout the year. Overall, I felt great during the stay and I will choose to go there again sometime.

Great place. Affordable rooms, stocked kitchen, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and close enough to Universal Studios and very close to the transit station. Even the bunks were roomy.

I'm a 24 year old woman, and have been to MANY hostels. This one was definitely one of the best I've been to. I loved the theme, and the family-friendly/young-person atmosphere. The staff were really nice, facilities were clean and the beds were spacious and comfortable. I do wish it were cheaper and less popular, but that's only because I'm selfish. Hope you enjoy your stay! *Location is a bit interesting, near USJ and near Summer Sonic (1 hour walking, maybe not so near), but I skated so was very happy. Also, I appreciated that it wasn't in a really populated city area. Train station was less than 5 minute walk away!!

Location is awesome ! Even if you are not going to USJ, its a good location for Osaka stay with less crowd and walking distance to train station. Other than having no lift for the luggage, everything else is perfect ! I shared the room with 7 other people, but everyone is doing their own stuff or hanging out at the living area with movies playing. Room is neat and decent, i am smaller build thus the top bunk is okay for me, otherwise i recommend the lower bunk for people with bigger build. Great experience !!

It's my third time staying in this hostel in Osaka. It was great as always - great location, friendly staff and a super clean common area where it is easy to meet new friends and mingle with. It is 24 hours accessible. A big thank you to every single staff for your great hospitality :)

The location is walk-able from the nearest station. Check-in and check-out are a breeze and self-check-in can be done at odd hours. Neat and clean facility. Kitchen with free tea/ coffee round the clock. Very friendly and helpful front-desk staff. Cozy and soothing lounge atmosphere for relaxation and a chat.

Very close to the station and Universal studios, check in was nice, the staff was so accommodating. The bed was comfortable and i felt very safe. They had very nice bathroom and good pressure showers. They give you earplugs for noise, what i was grateful for, because they had screaming children staying there at the same time. They gave me anything i would need for convenience.
